SAIPH CITY CONTEST SIGN-UPS.

Veronika glanced over the sign up sheet for the Saiph City contest. Ever since she brought herself back to her home town, this young woman has been keeping her eye on her number one priority: finding her family. However, it seemed to her like she barely had enough evidence they'd been at Saiph City. What she did know was that there were quite a few people who knew exactly who she was talking about. They couldn't bring themselves to say his name, and made Veronika promise she'd never tell a soul that they were the one that told her, but all she knew was that there was a chance that her father could be attending.

At least, that's what the person, who's identity will remain confidential, claimed.

Veronika supposed she could always be a guest at the event, but then what good would that do? She'd be under surveillance, and she certainly wouldn't have as much of an opportunity to have a look around. Veronika rubbed her chin a bit before trying to think this through. There were cons to this, too. Like, there was no telling what he would do upon realizing who she was when her name was to be announced for everyone in the auditorium to hear. Would he search for her? Would he run away?

No!

It was her best chance! She had to do this, she just had to! But she could only choose two Pokemon out of the five Pokemon she already had. How was she even supposed to know what two Pokemon would go well together in a contest? Well, she supposed Mabel was an obvious choice, and maybe Dodger or Rosemary. Oh, but Charcoal had been working really hard lately, and Leef's feelings would get his feelings hurt if he wasn't chosen. Leef seems to have quite to passion for dancing, even if he wasn't very good.

Well, Leef wouldn't give them much of a chance to win, not that she cared all that much about winning. She wasn't there to win the Contest, she was there to see if her father would show up. Charcoal may have been working really hard, but he was still letting his nerves get the better of him. Best to leave him out, since odds were he wouldn't have fun anyway. Dodger was a good choice, but he still found it hard to listen to Veronika. How was she to expect him to suddenly so a thing she said in front of hundreds, if not thousands of people?

That just left Mabel and Rose. Veronika began massaging her forehead. Mabel and Rose were both very pretty Pokemon, and Mabel's Iron Tail could make for quite the impression, but there was still one issue: The two of them didn't get along. At all. Well, scratch that. Mabel liked Rose fine, but for whatever reason, Rose just couldn't stand Mabel. The Petilil would push all the Minccino's buttons and before she knew it they would be fighting like cats and dogs.

But there was no other choice! If anything, the two of them were her best shot at, the very least, looking like she knew what she was doing. She didn't care if she won, but she still wanted to be a contender, so it had to be done. Veronika would simply have to make due with what she could.

The young woman silently signed up, writing down the two Pokemon she would use. The young woman took a deep breath. She just hoped that this choice wouldn't end up being a big mistake...

Honestly, he wasn't sure why he wanted to join this, but he figured that he might as well give a shot, considering he felt a certain someone was going to appear here and his feelings of him are conflicted. Winning for this contest did not matter so much compared to just scouting the crowd and trying something new.
