- String Shot
- Egg Move: Morning Sun

PERSONALITY — She is usually shy and happy to stay in the background. Unfortunately for her, Doug is quite awed by a bug that also makes thing catch fire, and is all too often eager to showcase her to whoever is foolish enough to initiate conversation with him, let alone challenge him to battle. Her trainer's overconfidence generally overpowers her own self-confidence issues, inspiring her to battle even when she doesn't believe in her own strength. She responds well to encouragement and praise, and suffers under heavy criticism, though she only cares for it when it comes from her trainer. She has a temper to behold when incensed, specially in battle. Taking too much damage can cause her to explode in anger. The one with the warmest heart.

Joltik Type Bug/Electric Level 20, Gender Male, Ability Compound Eyes, Moveset - Absorb
- Electro Web
- Spider web
- Thunder wave
- Screech
Personality: A cautious arachnid with more interest in finding a food than becoming strong. It has a preference for easy meals such as berries, as they do not put up a fight, and would rather not battle at all if it doesn't have to. That said, it is a creative pokemon when it needs to be, and can pull off stunts on its own even without a trainer's instructions, showing it possesses potential, but little desire to tap unto it. Because it only knows life as a wild pokemon it is highly independent and doesn't need orders to deal with unexpected situations, though as it follows its instincts, it may not always choose the wisest option. The one with the laziest disposition.

Wimpod Type Bug/Water Level 9gender, Male Ability, wimp out MoveSet, Personality,
A Wimpod differing from its peers in its extremely relaxed nature. Where others are prone panicking and fleeing swiftly, he's slower to react to apparent danger, taking a more 'wait and see' approach to dealing with unexpected situations and circumstances. However, because it does not immediately shy from anything it does not know, it is prone to getting caught in situations and circumstances the average Wimpod wouldn't. The only time it's natural instinct to 'Wimp Out' kicks in is when it is directly harmed. As it is relaxed and passive, it is of a very docile nature when interacted with and represents little threat. It is playful and finds Doug and his antics amusing, which is the reason it has latched onto him. The one with the most common sense.

Scyther Type Bug/Flying Level 20, Gender female, Ability technician MoveSet- Vacuum Wave
- Quick Attack
- Agility
- Focus Energy
- Pursuit
- False Swipe
PersonalityScyther is a fighter, and it shows through the numerous scars that dot her body. Life as a wild Pokemon can be hard, and many other Pokemon prey upon bug-types, so Scyther figured out very quickly that being able to fight well would ensure her safety and survival. However, she has grown tired of defeating the same opponents day in and day out and has decided to seek out a trainer who can find her more challenging battles. While she is a great battler, she does not value her trainer’s opinion at all due to the fact that he is some thirteen year old boy. As such, if her trainer tries to give her orders, she will outright ignore them and instead do what she believes is best. In her mind, her years of harsh, life-or-death battling trumps whatever experience her trainer has. She does not do it out of malice; rather, she truthfully believes that a teenager has no business commanding her around. However, it’s possible for her trainer to prove himself to her … but it will take a lot of time and patience The one with the most patience.

Dewpider Type Bug/Water Level 20, Gender female, Ability water bubble, MoveSet
- Water Sport
- Bubble
- Infestation
- Spider Web
- Bug Bite
- Bubble Beam
Personality
A 'mouthy' little Spider that takes no one's sh*t, not even her trainer's, much less her teammates'. Clever and finding amusement in her opponent's struggles, she's flippant and has an attitude problem Doug must find a way to deal with eventually. Though 'mouthy', so to speak, she's young and tends to lose her cool in an actual fight. Something of a cowardly lion, once her cool is lost she'll disregard orders in favor of attacking in panic until she either snaps out of it, gets forcefully snapped out of it, or is knocked out. Though she wears the facade of a smart mouthed jerk, she's easily concerned by other's and has a hard time faking indifference, and grows easily attached to anything that tolerates her for long enough. The one with the sharpest tongue.

Nincada Type, Bug/Ground Level, 11 Gender, Male Ability, Compound Eyes MoveSet - Scratch
- Harden
- Absorb
- Sand Attack
Personality Because it is waiting until evolution comes to it, it does not desire to move much or fight. As such, it's irritated easily when its slow evolution process is interrupted, and dislikes being outside of its pokeball during the day, as sunlight is generally irritating to its sensitive eyes. It prefers to stay within its pokeball at all times, though if it must be outside, it usually burrows into the ground and remains there as still as possible. Because it is so stubborn, it is hard to order it around, and it may even leave the battle entirely if the opponent has no way of chasing it underground. However, because it has lived its entire life off the nutrients underground, it is specially sensitive and appreciative of the treats Doug prepares for his pokemon, and can be 'bribed' into following directions with said food. When given a treat, its disposition becomes less stubborn and more flexible. Because it has a tendency towards waiting things out, it is rather patient in battle, both towards timing and its trainer's mistakes. The one with the sweetest tooth.

LedybaType Bug/Flying Level 15, Gender male Ability Early Bird MoveSet
- Mach Punch,
- Supersonic
- Swift
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Safe Guard
Personality
A fierce, justice driven warrior who seeks to become stronger by facing powerful opponents. Though its appearance is that of a meek Ledyba, it is foolish to underestimate its guts, as it does not know the meaning of giving up or backing down. Because it possesses an impressive moral compass, it cannot allow injustice to happen in its presence, and rains down its wrath upon those foolish enough to act villainously in its presence. Because it desires to become more powerful, it tends to test its mettle against anything that accepts its challenge, and seeks a powerful trainer that would help it achieve greater heights. Powerful in a literal sense; it mistakenly believes that a greater combat aptitude means the trainer is better at making it powerful. Though seemingly weak, its punches pack more power than one would guess at a single glance. It has been training its fists religiously in order to make up for the fact that it wasn't naturally born with the iron fist ability some Ledyba's posses. It has been said that the line between courage and recklessness is a thin one, and this Ledyba might just be the proof of it. Because it cannot tolerate injustices, it jumps at the call long before it can know if it is even a match for its opponent, and it refuses to back out of a fight, even if it cannot possibly win. It could also be said to be incredibly selfish, as its refusal to back away is not shaken in the slightest regardless by how it may affect its trainer and its companions. The one with the hottest blood.

Sewaddle Type Bug/Grass Level 20, Personality female, Ability chlorophyll MoveSet
- Slash
- String shot
- Bug bite
- Razor Leaf
- Grasswhistle
- Protect
PersonalitySewaddle is a fashion diva. Though she's yet young and hasn't evolved into a Leavanny, she adamantly refuses to wear anything she hasn't made herself, and often likes to play dress up with Doug and the rest of the team. As far as mannerism goes, she is extremely similar to her trainer, possessing an impressive ego to go with her need for glamour and pizazz. She's sassy and doesn't take lip from anyone, being quite adept at tongue lashing whoever gets on her nerves. Though she's one of the more recent additions to the team, she acts as something of a leader among Doug's pokemon. With her strong character and assertive demeanor, few of the other's ever bother calling her out on it; that is, if they minded. You see, Sewaddle is well on her way to becoming a den mother, possessing overprotective tendencies and taking personal offense to any slight that may come upon any member of her glamour troope. She tends to be the first to offer moral support to any members feeling distressed. The one with the most glamour.

BeedrillType Bug/Poison Level 11, Gender male, AbilitySwarm MoveSet- Poison Sting
- String Shot
- Harden
- Twin Needle
- Fury Attack
Personality Before Evo.Kakuna is a little ball of concentrated annoyance hatred just waiting to unleash its evulz into the world. It was a tiny pain in the ass to everyone and everything it met before becoming a Kakuna, and it is determined to continue being one the moment it escapes from the prison its own body has become. As it can practically not move at all save for the tiny stingers it possesses, it has of fallen into a 'hibernation' of sorts, trusting its hard shell to protect it while it sleeps and waits to become a powerful Beedrill. Calamity be unto whoever is the dumbf*ck that catches this little bugger, for evolving this thing is like opening Pandora's box. In reality, it's just a prankster with too much pent up energy, as its current form has forced it to stay in one place for longer than it ever had to before. Because of this, it is eager to go back to be free from its confines. It likes sweets and people who can take as much as they dish. After Evo:The Pandora's box has been opened. Beedrill has been freed from its cocoon like prison, and is ready to bring about ruin into the world. Now freed from both its prison and gravity's hold, it can prank motherf*ckers like never before. Somewhere out there, a Beedrill Hive feels the collective weight of guilt for the annoyance they have allowed to touch the rest of the world. The one with the the funniest bone.

Turtonator Type Dragon/Fire Level 10, Gender Male Ability shell armor MoveSet Personality
This calm, collected pokemon is unfamiliar with all forms of pokemon battle. Its origins are dubious at best, and Douglas still isn't sure if it is a wild pokemon or if it 'belongs' to the old man, though the fact that he could catch it suggests it was on its own. Because it has lived its whole life in the forest, its carapace is noticeably less explosive than the average Turtonator, due to the lack of sulfur and other components usually consumed by the species while living in Volcanos. It is also, strangely, slightly larger than the average member of it species. Along with a less explosive carapace is also a cool head and a non existent temper, differing heavily from the average Turtonator. It is of a very gentle and enjoys small gestures and gifts. However, it lacks the ferocity in combat other Turtonator's display, being more at home on the defense. It's a bit slow witted and takes its time to do anything, which Doug and his father attribute to diet-induced lethargy. It dislikes the meats and veggies, though it has adapted to eating them. It loves minerals, having found some within caves, but due to how few there are around Shaula Town it hasn't eaten many before. Douglas didn't so much capture it as simply dragged it to his dad to check its health. His dad technically was the one to adopt it, though the pokeball used was one of Doug's own, so it is registered as one of Doug's, It is currently residing in the Freeman residence, and being taught to help around his father's kitchen. The one with the most hidden depths.

AxewType Dragon Level 20, Gender female, Ability Mold Breaker MoveSet- Slash
- Leer
- Endure
- Assurance
- Dragon Rage
- Dual Chop
Personality
An angry little bugger with an attitude problem. She tends to lash out in anger before really thinking, and her temper explodes just as swiftly as it dies down. Though rough and incapable of saying anything without sounding angry, she's far from cruel, and in fact has a hard time watching others in any sort of anguish, and though she appears to be a loner, what with not having any friends or apparent family, she hates being alone. Because she is so rough and careless with her words however, she tends to hurt those around her, which has given form to rejection and abandonment issues. She's not easy to get along with and has a hard time trusting or working alongside others, but there's a real gem under all the rough edges if one is willing to polish it. She truly desires to bond with Douglas and the rest of the team, but finds it hard to keep her less desirable habits reigned. Douglas finds her cute for the most part, though her nature as a non bug type still makes the boy unsure as to whether he should let her fight in actual battles or not. For now, he has chosen to simply train her, if nothing else, to see if he can understand his grandfather's preference for the draconic buggers a bit. She has gained an affinity for cold sweets after meeting Doug and his father. The one with the most explosive Temper.

Surskit Type Bug/Water Level 10 Gender female Ability Swift Swim MoveSet
- Bubble
- Quick Attack
- Sweet Scent
- Lunge
Personality
Of a naive, cheery disposition. It's young and doesn't seem to mind tough situations, always plowing forward with a smile on her face and encouraging words tumbling out of her maw. It is easily hurt by harsh words and tends to wither under insults and harsh treatment however, so it's best to raise it with a gentle hand, praise and encouragement. As it is naive, it is easily tricked and will believe nearly everything Doug and the rest of the team tells her, leading to its 'amicable' relationship with Beedrill, who is happy to teach her all there is to know about the world... no matter how 'true' or not the facts may be. Has a massive appetite relative to its size and will do just about anything for a good treat. Loves spicy food, though it will happily eat whatever Doug puts on her plate. The one with the most friends.

Mienfoo Level 18, Gender Female, Ability Inner focus MoveSet
- Pound
- Meditate
- Detect
- Fake out
- Double Slap
Personality This little Martial Artist in the making saw what no other pokemon type could have when it caught sight of Doug meditating under a waterfall- A Martial Artist. A good one to boot, if they could maintain concentration as gallons of water crashed down upon them.
So naturally, she tried to follow by example; she knew how to meditate, somewhat... a bit. All she had to figure out was how to get under the waterfall...
Little Mienfoo is an excitable, enthusiastic fighter who often tries to perform feats above her league. Not one to think too hard before acting, she has a tendency to follow by example, even if said example is several orders more skilled or powerful than herself. As with most young fighting pokemon, it seeks a powerful Martial Arts master who can help her master the Martial Ways.
She hates being underestimated, and is always one to try and prove a point, which doesn't always go well for her. Her ego does not bruise easily however, and she's always the first to pick herself up from the floor and try again until success comes or exhaustion stops her in her tracks. As she does not care for what others think she can or can't do, her recklessness is matched only by her trainer amongst the members of the team.
As she's a pure fighting type pokemon, Doug is not entirely sure of what to do with her; his meditations under the waterfall were meant to help him come to terms with his new role as a Fighting type gym leader, and it did not quite pan out as much as he hoped.
In the end he decided to take in the enthusiastic little warrior. Even if things didn't go well, he could always just drop her at his mother's dojo, where she would have plenty of role models and masters to choose from.

Venipede Level 10, Gender Female, Ability Poison Point MoveSet
- Defense Curl,
- Rollout,
- Poison Sting,
- Screech,
- Twineedle
Personality A clingy, overly affectionate pokemon that will prove to be her trainer's death at some point. As with the mythical Indian Elephant, her reaction when seeing Doug and his ilk is to think they are incredibly cute and in need of some petting. With her natural ability, this need to spread the love is often lethal ly hilarious, causing inordinate amounts of suffering to the young boy. Because Doug is not one to reject his pokemon's affection, he's constantly getting poisoned. As a Silver lining; he's pretty sure the poison is hurting a little less every time. In time, either Venipede will learn to control her ability or he will develop an immunity to her love. Doug is hoping she learns first. Her body is a nice little pillow when she's not poisoning him, which has led to them bonding through naps, when they aren't interrupted by accidental poisoning. She has an easy time working on a team, though since she also likes hugging other pokemon she sees as cute, it leads to problematic moments more often than not. The one most likely to offer a hug.

CharmanderLevel 11, Gender male, Ability blaze MoveSet - scratch,
- growl,
- ember,
- smokescreen
PersonalityThis little guy bought into the Charizard hype way too much and is thoroughly convinced of his superiority over all pokemon species by virtue of eventually becoming a Charizard. Considering who his trainer is, this goes about as well as can be expected, and they are more likely to butt heads and trip up each other than actually work together. Charmander has good instincts and a strong character that make him a good fit for battle, but as he can his trainer can barely tolerate one another, he's unlikely to win many matches in the future. He doesn't often fall in line, and requires tributes (Read: snacks) before even so much as lifting a finger in battle. Doug doesn't like feeding little shits though, and usually just let's the other pokemon get the first hit in. Since Charmander is temperamental to an extreme, blows generally make him forget of his own demands for battle. As it goes with most of Douglas' rowdy pokemon, there's a little more than meets the eye to the little egomaniac. However, all of that depth is hidden beneath a thick layer of obnoxious smarm, so good luck to Doug; cause he'll need to dig deep before finding something worthwhile. The one with the largest ego.
