MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. Arthur noticed that as of late, his bed was getting crowded. His partner had recently evolved, which originally meant that she took up more space on the mattress until he told her to sleep somewhere else. Hurt at first, the staff quickly made a makeshift bar hanging on top of Arthur's bedside, so Swoobat could technically hang over there and sleep but still be nearby her master. In replacement of the large bat were Eevee and his newly acquired Zorua, who found the blanket very comforting. Spinda had his own pet-like bed nearby, while Arthur's other three Pokemon slept in the reserved. Sigilyph was too big, while Ponyta and Venipede simply preferred it there. While this seemed like a good setup, Swoobat was still getting used to hanging on the bar all evening. Thus, on this fine morning, it was one of the times where she had accidentally loosened her grip and fell on top of Arthur. "Ow! What the--Swoobat!" all the Pokemon in the room except for Spinda woke up from the commotion and the large bat apologizing to the young man. "Ugh, this is the second time this week. Do you just want a bed instead?""(No no, I'm fine! I just need more practice.)" she replied sheepishly. Arthur sighed; his chest now rather sore. He supposed he was not going to sleep anymore after this, so he pushed himself out of bed and was careful not to disturb Spinda. He then went through his morning routine, getting ready for breakfast. The staff at this point have noted that Arthur was starting to wake up earlier thanks to his Swoobat, which was a good thing since he usually had the habit of sleeping in. After freshening up and changing his clothes, he gently shook the dizzy panda so that they could get ready for breakfast. It looked like it was waffles again this time around. Not that he minded all that much. Swoobat was still getting used to no longer sitting on Arthur's shoulder. She was much bigger and heavier now, so she mostly would just sit on the table to eat along with the other Pokemon. "So, what do you guys want to do today?""(Can we go out?)" Zorua asked, and Swoobat quickly translated. Usually Arthur would say no, but he supposed that he was feeling listless being in the building for a few days, so he decided to relent this time around. "Sure, we can go to the park or something.""(Yes, finally!)" Eevee jumped, clearly excited. Spinda was too busy eating to notice. After breakfast was finished, he placed all of his Pokemon back in their Poke Balls except Swoobat, who refused to just travel inside the capsule even if she couldn't rest her weight on her trainer. She figured that this would help her get used to her bigger wings. Also, heck, clear sight was such a strange thing! She had pictured her surroundings and used her psychic abilities and biological traits to manoeuvre around, but to actually see where she was going, wow. She remembered the first few days just looking everywhere and memorising her master's face. She had calmed down since then, but she was still thrilled by everything. It did not take long for Arthur to reach the park. He let the Pokemon out of their Poke Balls and they quickly started to run around on the grass. It was mid morning by now, so there weren't a lot of people around, but the sun was already up and the breeze was light. Arthur half wondered if maybe he could train his Pokemon here. Spinda definitely needed the practice, and he hadn't been working with Zorua as much as he liked. “… Promise me one last time that none of you plan to destroy this park. I’m not sure I trust any of you.”
Pale golden eyes narrowed as a tall, slender figure appraised the ragtag group of Pokemon before him, skepticism etched into every stern line. Special care was directed towards two of the larger Pokemon gathered before him – a Deino that looked brutish even by her species’ standards, and a Braixen that stood tall and proud over most of her teammates, fixing Blaire with a sharp-eyed look of her own.
Zenzi’s expression didn’t waiver. In fact, if Blaire wasn’t completely aware that her gigantic ears were fully functional, he might have guessed that she hadn’t heard him at all.
“… Zenzi. Please don’t go in there with the intention to start another fight, like last time,” the psychic moaned, rubbing gingerly at his temples. He hadn’t really forgiven the fox for the scene she’d caused last time – goading another trainer’s Pokemon into a fight was hardly something to be proud of. The Braixen – a Fennekin then – had lost that battle as well, and he was relieved to see irritation spark in her expression as he brought the memory up.
Finally, she inclined her head, a scowl working across her maw. She would offer no more, and Blaire was glad to take even a minor agreement.
The Deino seemed about as unenthused, grumbling half-heartedly under her breath. +Can’t even have any fun around here… Zen’s the only one that knows how to have a good time around here.+ the Dragon-type growled, kicking at the earth with one foot.
Blaire wished he could wipe the smug, pleased expression from the Braixen’s face as she picked up upon her friend’s words. The last thing Zenzi needed was encouragement. “… Apologies, but I don’t find ‘inciting mayhem in public’ to be a good time. If you don’t like it, there’s a Pokeball waiting for you. Behave – unless you don’t want to be out here at all.” He was too exhausted to entertain any sort of dissention, and even Zero seemed to recognize that today was not the day to disagree with Blaire. Still glowering the trainer’s way, she inclined her head, shifting a little closer to Zenzi’s naturally-warm frame.
The Espurr, Eevee, and Inkay all agreed far more readily to Blaire’s idea, and he found himself relieved that at least some of his teammates wanted to keep things peaceful and relaxed. He would have to trust Zero and Zenzi to keep their word, of course; even if he doubted their sincerity, he knew that keeping them from enjoying a nice day in the park was unfair.
“… Alright, then. I’m keeping an eye on all of you, remember.” He drew in a breath, trying to find some final way to delay the inevitable. The park didn’t look terribly crowded at this time of morning, but even a couple of people were too many, in Blaire’s professional opinion. It was still a breath of fresh air for the psychic after the gala, but a part of him longed for the days where he could hole himself into an apartment for days on end with little repercussion.
He was hardly surprised as his Pokemon dispersed into their own little clichés – after the altercations Demetri and Zenzi had been getting into, he could hardly blame the pair for not wanting to spend time together. The little psychic kitten hesitated at the edge of the park, turning a wide-eyed, uncertain gaze to the Eevee settled beside him. Nacht, despite her mysterious origin, had made herself seemingly at home in the group; others seemed to inherently trust the little brown fox, and Demetri seemed to hold the same unspoken respect for the odd Normal-type. +It’s… nice here, isn’t it? Would you, er, like to… um. Do anything…?+ There was a curious quaver to the feline’s voice, and an anxious shift in his step as he awaited the Eevee’s response.
Long, slender brown ears twitched at his query, though the Eevee’s thoughtful gaze was located elsewhere. Sharp eyes narrowed as she spotted Zenzi and Zero making a beeline for another, more-occupied area of the park – an area where another group of Pokemon were enjoying the morning. Intuition was enough to suggest that the pair had less-than-friendly intentions in mind. They were little more than glorified bullies, and the Eevee shifted decisively, offering curt directions to Demetri as she strolled past. +I’m going to keep an eye on them. The last thing Blaire needs is that heathen fox starting another battle.+
Demetri frowned, before nodding and hastily scurrying after the Eevee. He arrived to find that Nacht had cut the Braixen and Deino off; despite her smaller size, she was staring down the fire fox coolly, as though some unspoken conversation was going on between the pair. Demetri, well aware of the Braixen’s telepathic penchant for insults, shuddered, glad that Zenzi’s attention was directed elsewhere for once.
+… Well, if you were ‘just going to say hello’, we can all go together, can’t we?+ Nacht spoke coldly towards the Braixen, holding her gaze for a couple more moments before turning and approaching the group. From the scowl on Zenzi’s face, it was clear that pleasant greetings hadn’t been on her mind at all.
Nacht approached the group casually, posture confident but relaxed. She hesitated a couple of yards away, clearing her throat before offering a steady greeting. +Good morning! Pleasant day for a romp in the park, isn’t it?+ The Eevee was vaguely aware of Blaire huffing and puffing as he half-jogged up behind them, clearly unwilling to let his Pokemon wander too far without supervision.
An apologetic look was shot towards the other trainer as Blaire caught his breath – he felt as though he had to apologize for most things when it came to his Pokemon. At least Nacht seemed to be offering a polite conversation, rather than one of Zenzi’s mean-spirited tricks. “… M-morning. Uh.” He grimaced, forced to remember just how terrible he tended to be at casual small talk. He already felt as though he was shoving his foot into his own mouth. “Sorry if they’re bothering you – they’re all friendly.” Mostly. … Some of them. … At least two of them.

The young woman let out a massive yawn as she and her two Pokemon did the same to try and shake any ounce of sleepiness out of their eyes. They had gotten up earlier than usual that day, especially considering that Dodger was used to doing things his own way as a wild Pokemon. Veronika glanced over at her new Eevee, but he seemed to lack any sort of interest in her. The young woman let out a heavy sigh. Mabel had been quite agreeable and loving from the very start, but this Pokemon wasn’t even willing to give her the time of day.
“Alright, guys,” Veronika spoke, instantly gaining the attention from her Minccino, and a sneer from Dodger. “This place is called Erandi City,” the new Trainer explained, pointing to a nearby sign. “This particular city has a gym in it. Now I know we don’t normally go out of our way, but you guys want to be able to fight well, don’t you?”
(Yeah!) Mabel waved her hands around, agreeing with her Trainer and clenching her fist. While Dodger gave Mabel a friendly smile, he wasn’t so friendly with Veronika. (You wanna be able to fight Pokemon, Dodge?)
The Eevee still gave his new friend a smile, but sort of leered at his new Trainer in the corner of his eye. (Sure.) Dodger spatted out as he walked to the other side of their tent, as far away from his Trainer as possible.
Veronika looked at her newest Pokemon with some sympathy, but then let out a scowl before getting ready for the day. Veronika set up the breakfast of both of her Pokemon, and though Mabel ate her food eagerly, Dodger wouldn’t touch his food. Instead, he opted to forage through the various trees in the area for any edible berries. Veronika didn’t seem to have to worry about the angry Eevee running away anymore, but there seemed to be another issue.
The young woman’s never tried to battle with the Eevee before, and from the looks of it, the odds of Dodger actually listening to her was slim to none. Granted, Veronika wasn’t all that interested in making friends with a Pokemon who didn’t like her, and in fact the only reason she captured Dodger in the first place was because Mabel had become fast friends with him. But she wanted to be a battling contender, or at the very least be able to compete with the likes of Miyoko. How could she do that if half of her Pokemon wouldn’t listen to her?
Well, for now, she would simply ignore it. Gathering up her supplies and placing them into her backpack, Veronika allowed Mabel to assume her usual spot in her hoodie, gripping the side of her Trainer’s head gently, and allowed Dodger to follow. Of course, the Eevee gave his Trainer as much distance as possible without losing track of her, but Veronika still decided not to force the Eevee to return to his Pokeball. It seemed like Dodger liked as much freedom as possible, and he seemed less grumpy when he just traveled around as opposed to being forced into a ball.
Dodger simply lifted his nose in the air and just so happened to catch a glimpse of a group of Pokemon approaching a Trainer and his Pokemon. (Huh?) the Eevee tilted his head as he watched the Pokemon curiously.
The lack of reaction from the Eevee grabbed Veronika and Mabel’s attention. “What’s wrong, Dodger? Is something the matter?” The Eevee scoffed at his Trainer and made his way toward where the stranger Pokemon were going. “Wait! Dodger, don’t! What they’re doing is none of your business!”
(Dodger!) Mabel called out as she jumped out of her Trainer’s hood, and ran after her new friend on all fours. (Dodger, come back!)

A Girl walked into the area, and quietly watched for a bit. An eevee was on her shoulder, and said eevee looked at everyone present. The eevee wanted to jump onto some shoulders, but his trainer shook her head. "No Mason.. We do not jump on strangers shoulders understood?" The eevee pouted but nodded none the less. The girl cautiously approached the people who were in the place. "H-Hello.." The girl said, expecting to get punched or bullied or something like she always used too. The eevee on her shoulder jumped onto her head, and growled a bit. The girl just smiled at her partner, still a bit unsure of the people. The last thing Cecelia needed was to be bullied again like she used too. Oh why did she even speak up? Thigns were swirling through her head, and she looked like she was about to pass out. Heaven forbid if she actually feinted in frount of anyone- that would just be more they could laugh at her for. The girl really needed a reality check that not everyone was bad, but in her mind everyone was. Veronika Lopes @blair

MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME. Arthur's Pokemon mainly took to different directions, with Swoobat stretching her wings and flying around in small circles while Spinda collapsing onto the grass, sniffing the familiar scent. Zorua had not transformed into anything yet but was watching the world go by as trainers released their own Pokemon into the large garden. He couldn't help but show a small smile. Eevee on the other hand was essentially following Zorua and Spinda, sticking close to them but not too close. He hadn't known them for very long and they were both wild Pokemon to him, but since they were teammates he had little choice but to forge bonds for future use. And he supposed they were decent Pokemon. Spinda was a little on the weird side though. It was then the Eevee noticed that there was a group of Pokemon approaching them. He didn't quite like how they were doing it, so he used a free paw to nudge Zorua out of his daydreaming. "(Wha--what?)""(I'm not sure I like what I'm seeing.)" Eevee muttered with a cautious look. At first Zorua was going to comment on how close-minded he sounded, but when he turned his attention to the other Pokemon, he sort of understood what the Normal type had been referring to. The yellow and orange fox had a vibe that he did not like. But their attention was quickly drawn away from them to the Eevee that spoke up. "(Morning to you as well, Miss.)" the Zorua responded politely with a slight bow of the head. "(Guess it is a good day, huh, Eevee?)"It turned out that Arthur's Eevee was distracted by Nacht. He had seen many an Eevee in his short lifespan, but there was something... different about her that he couldn't quite put to words. Nevertheless, he sure hoped that she was of similar pedigree, otherwise he would be conflicted talking to a commoner of the same species. It was Zorua's turn to nudge his teammate with his paw to snap him out of it. "(What--? Oh, yes, good morning! I, uh...I apologize for my late greeting.)" he fidgeted, wondering if they could find time to talk alone sometime, or was this just a chance meeting? The two fox Pokemon then noticed that there was a trainer running after the four that had approached them. Arthur had been a little ways from the rest of them, resting on a bench and playing with his phone. When he heard a consistent cry from his Eevee, he looked up and saw that there was a crowd gathering with his Pokemon. Huh, that was weird. He approached them and that was when Blaire managed to catch up, apologizing about his ragtag team of Pokemon. "Oh, it is alright. They seem to be getting along." he replied nonchalantly as he glanced at Eevee and Zorua. They seemed a little uncomfortable. It was only then Spinda had noticed the commotion and raised his head up from the grass, only to put it back down to continue relaxing. Swoobat, on the other hand, came around and landed nearby Arthur's side. But the party didn't stop there. When Arthur was looking around for a moment, he saw that there was another Eevee running towards them from another direction, followed by a girl and a Minccino. Oh boy, was this a congregation of Eevees that he was not aware of? "It looks like you might be attracting the crowd, Eevee." he offhandedly commented in jest. "(Hey I didn't sign up for this!)" he whined. Yet that was not all that the morning had to offer. The gym leader heard a soft voice speak up not too far from him, and when he faced that direction he saw another girl with another Eevee. Surely there was supposed to be a gathering without his knowing! Why else would there be four different trainers (who were clearly from different backgrounds) and all of them coincidentally owned an Eevee? Arthur simply nodded at the newest girl to join the party as he focused his attention on all of the Pokemon gathered around them. "Well, this is a pleasant surprise. You three now have a lot of friends to play with." he said. "Unless I take it that you're here because of another reason?" he added with an eyebrow raised, implying that they might've wanted to battle, or at least their Pokemon did.
