Fran - Level 7 - LevitateAir Slash, Astonish, Trick, Charge, Confuse Ray, DischargeHeld Item: N/A Ishtar - Level 6 - LimberScratch, Growl, AssistHeld Item: N/A Sergeant - Level 8 - Poison PointRollout, Defense Curl, Screech, Poison StingHeld Item: N/A Off on her daily escapades once more, Maris’s destination found itself to be the haunted estate that was Fomalhaut. The voluntary trek through the swamp was not too ideal, but having had an adventure of her own in the stinking marsh before allowed her to have an easier time going through it. And so here she was, her Rotom and her new mysterious partner Ishtar reveling in the sight of the place. Through the looks of Fran’s visible awe, it gave the trainer a little bit of joy knowing that going to a place like this made her partner feel a little bit more at home. Yes, a trip like this had dangers of its own for them to fret about, but she couldn’t help but go here as an attempt to make them feel better--a treat for dealing with her ridiculous adventures, if you will. As for Ishtar, Maris figured a place like this would invigorate her after being humiliated post-capture. It seemed to be the right call, judging by the way she placed a paw over her face, revealing her eye through an space between two open fingers. So begins her soliloquy... ( “The ominous air of this area...yes, I can feel it...my brothers and sisters, my KINSMAN--I can feel their energy here. The sinister genes I’ve come to possess are TEEMING with excitement--” )( “Tshshsh--will you pipe down?!” ) The Rotom peeked through a whittled door in their search for appliances. ( “The only thing that’ll be teeming in this place izz other Ghostzz if you don’t turn your volume down!” )The feline gritted their teeth. ( “Ggh...confounded piece of junk…” ) Her paws closed into fists, glaring in Fran’s direction with an attempted ferocity before she felt herself being lifted off the ground. The cat meowled in surprise, pawing at Maris’s gauzed hands. ( “Un--unhand me this instant!! You’re ruining my moment…!” )“Oh. Am I?” She tilted her head to the side. “Oops.” Wincing a little as Ishtar bore her claws and grazed them against her skin, she quickly set her down. “You were being a little rowdy, is all~” Ishtar promptly brushed herself off as she scoffed. ( “O-of course a mortal such as yourself cannot even WISH to contain a force of absolute chaos and wickedness such as myself. Our relationship is a mere temporary alliance and nothing more, mark my words…” )“You got it, Trisha.” ( ”Ishtar”. )“Trish.” The fur on the Purrloin’s back and tail rose up in agitation before freezing at the sound of wood creaking. The other two stopped to listen suit, slowly looking in the direction of the noise. The two Pokemon glanced at Maris before she responded with a nonchalant shrug. Holding a paw to her mouth, the Purrloin motioned the two to another open room, making sure to make as little noise as possible. This was no problem for a sleuth like Ishtar and a...well, floating object like Fran, but Maris unfortunately let out a big creak from the wood beneath her as she took a big step into another room and swiftly shut the door. Being as worn down as it was, it gave them enough cover to hide and enough holes to look through in return for being loose and requiring Maris to hold the knob so it kept shut. Well, shit. She was hoping to be the only one to wander around the place, but it looks like she’d have company. That’d be all fine and dandy, as Maris could simply just leave, but Fran and Ishtar seemed...eager. Their eyes seemed to have a sort of...mischievous glint to them. It didn’t take long for Maris to understand their intention. Whoever it was, they’d best leave quick, for their own sake.

The trio did their best to stay silent as the unknown visitor stepped in, the brittle floor creaking to make the girl’s presence known to them. A girl somewhere around Maris’s age it seemed, perhaps younger from her stature and the evidently cutesy, baby Pokemon that walked by her side. They stood still and watched in silence as the Nidoran did his ~SICK FLIP~ in the other room. “Nice,” Maris mouthed. Well, that aside, it seemed like the Purrloin and Rotom had their victim, and the trainer was going to enable them. Would this make her feel bad, scaring a girl like this? Sort of, maybe, probably. But she was curious to see what Ishtar and Fran had planned, nonetheless. She looked down at the two whispering among themselves, leaning down to try and hear what they were saying. Before she could be within earshot, Fran looked up at Maris, motioning for her to back up. Looking back in the direction they motioned, she saw a window. The trainer looked to her partner confusedly before continuing backward as slowly and steadily as she could, making minimal noise as the Purrloin sneaked out of the room and to the entrance, where the doors were still swung open and letting the moonlight illuminate the estate. Not for long.Quickly kicking the two doors to begin its creaky closure, she closed her eyes and used her paws to slam the doors shut once they were in arms’ reach. Instantly, the lobby fell into darkness. The sound boomed throughout the mansion, allowing Fran to quickly whisper the plan into Maris’s ear without having them be heard. ( “Trisha’zz gonna go on her spiel while you take out Sgt. Venipede outside,” ) they began, ( “and have him use Screech to go along with her speech until I can find zzomething to possess and seal the zzspooky deal, okay?” )Taking a moment to process the plan, Maris nodded at her partner and sat to listen to Ishtar. ACT I, SCENE I: Fomalhaut Estate lobby… ( “Who d a r e s…” ) she growled, trying her best to make her voice grumble menacingly. ( “Disrupt my SLUMBER…!?” )Her green eyes shone through the darkness of the mansion as she grinned, bearing her claws on one paw. ( “You dare trespass on the grounds of my KINSMAN?! A naive mistake. You’ve tread on haunted grounds, girl--very little can save you from my wrath now…” )Fran rolled their eyes. It’s a hammed up act, but it’ll do. They motioned at the window behind Maris. Looking back to it, it was broken down to the frame and glass, but still seemed like a somewhat difficult climb--to her, at least. ( “Your little mortal friends will do little to save you, too~.” ) A paw went to her chin. ( “Normal types in the haunting grounds of the Ghosts?! Ohohoho!” )Nodding, she took advantage of the opportunity and quickly pulled over one leg after the other; however, she chose to sit at the windowsill instead of jumping out all the way, taking a Pokeball out of her bag and releasing the strict Bug-type. Fran nearly had a stroke as he began to speak. ( “WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS, PRIVA--” ) he began, voice nearly booming before the Rotom promptly ran into him with a minor Discharge. The volume of his voice seemed to be loud enough to prompt Ishtar to suddenly speak loud enough to be audible from outside. ( “I-I--HOW FOOLISH can you BE?!” )Maris simply put her hand up to her mouth, index finger over her lips as she shushed him. Sergeant gave a sharp glare at the Electric-type, but followed the trainer’s orders. “I need to you to screech when I tell you the cue, okay?” she asked in a hushed whisper. With clear confusion on his face, the Venipede nodded, still bitter from the sudden attack by Fran. They would be subject to Sargeant’s stare if not for them already having floated to the upper floors in their search. This truly was convoluted. Lori Tsuka

[/font] Lori asked, her mouth agape in fright. The little light she had was no longer there, the doors closing all on their own. Oh, Lori didn't like this one bit. There was a monster here in the mansion! How were they going to escape, now!? She practically made herself shrink, trying to become as small and insignificant as possible. The girl curled her body up into a ball and held her head, shaking in her boots (if she wore any). (Umm) Puffle began, hopping down from his higher point out of curiosity. He was concerned about his trainer, but right now was the time to analyze the situation and respond appropriately. It meant gathering more information, so the small poison-type began to look about the room, but the darkness made it near impossible. He didn't have to wait long. ( “Who d a r e s…” ) ( “Disrupt my SLUMBER…!?” ) The threatening (?) spiel began, forcing a gasp of horror out of Lori and even more confusion from her Pokemon. Except for Snips, he was indifferent to it all, rather he was judging it as below par. If he could give a rating for that performance he'll give it a 2/10 since he was a kind and affectionate Clauncher, but it was really pushing it. The only thing this would frighten is a stupid little kid. That thought spoke quite a bit, especially with Lori curling up in the corner. Lizzy and Lili weren't impressed either, they had greater things to worry about. With the light gone, the Buneary was desperately trying to walk back to her trainer, only to go the other way and kept tripping over the floor or her own feet. The Igglybuff had become a source of comfort for her trainer, being held so tightly in her arms that it felt like she might burst any moment now. If she was any other Pokemon in her trainer's grip, it might end up becoming an actual horror show. Instead, she could only wriggle about in place, trying desperately to get a bit more air. ( “You dare trespass on the grounds of my KINSMAN?! A naive mistake. You’ve tread on haunted grounds, girl--very little can save you from my wrath now…” ) The ghost had threatened. If Lori was a rational person, she would have realized this was a Pokemon talking, but the little girl was too terrified to think clearly. All her Pokemon knew this, though they weren't in the position to explain to her. After all, one was looking for the source, another tripping, the Clauncher remained indifferent, and the Igglybuff was having an actual battle for her life. "Nooooooooo, I didn't know!" she responded, sniffling by this point. Any moment it looked like the girl was about to explode into tears. ( “Your little mortal friends will do little to save you, too~.” ) ( “Normal types in the haunting grounds of the Ghosts?! Ohohoho!” ) The ghost was right! Normal-types couldn't handle their kind. Though only half the team was of this typing. The sudden entrance of another character surprised Lori, but that moment soon vanished from her brain. Her NidoranM tilted her ears and followed the noise though. Jumping upwards and through an apparent window, landing on the other side. There were other Pokemon there and a human. Before he could speak up, the Purrloin corrected the mistake. ( “I-I--HOW FOOLISH can you BE?!” ) "Hiiiii! I'm sorry, I didn't do it! Ididntididntididnt," Lori pleaded, practically begging for mercy. (Oi what are you guys doing?!) Puffle yelled, sending a glare at the Pokemon. "Quiet Puffle! We can't interrupt the monster!" Lori ordered, shutting the NidoranM up more or less. It didn't stop the Pokemon from watching them though. If they really plan to threaten his trainer, he won't hesitate to hurt them. [/ul]
