The ship blared its horn as it came closer to the docks of Eridani City. The sheer size of the buildings and how far off in the distance they went was mind-blowing to Koa as he leaned over the railing with Azura, who wriggled in his arms excitedly. Was Hau'oli City even as big as this place? He felt a bead of sweat roll down his brow as he began to have second thoughts about this whole thing. No, he couldn't go back now. Not after that goodbye. He had to deal with this. But could he? He carried Azura with him and gently patted at her head as he walked over to get his bags. He set Azura down and threw on his backpack that was full to the brim with extra clothes, snacks, and potions. Would he need more bags? How many Pokeballs should he carry with him? Questions like this plagued him throughout the entire trip there. With a sigh, he waited for the ramp to extend down before he walked with Azura down it. She seemed to be having a good time at least with the most precious happy expression he had seen from her yet. That, for now, was enough to keep him going as he set foot onto Stellara for the first time.
Koa looked around the dock as Azura followed close by. First order of business was to get a map. He checked his wallet for his travel funds and nodded to himself before going to the local tourist building. The architecture felt so alien to him. It wasn't as colorful or expressive as Alola, but had its own charm to it all the same. "Alola! I would like to buy a map of the area, please?" he asked the clerk at the counter. Was it strange of him to use his native greeting here? He shook his head and tried to get over these hangups. The clerk simply smiled and handed over a map and rang up the price. As he reached for the money, he noticed a couple of Pokemon snacks on sale and smiled softly. He grabbed a bag and paid for that as well "Thank you, and welcome to Stellara," the clerk said to him as he waved.
With a content sigh, he sat down on a bench outside and stared out towards the sea. He lifted Azura up onto the bench with him and gave her one of the snacks, which she eagerly accepted. She nibbled on the treat as Koa thought about what he should do first here. He looked down at Azura and stroked the top of her head "I'm glad you're having such a good time here already. We've got a lot ahead of us, don't we?" he asked as he leaned back against the bench.

I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT "Where are you going?!" Lily shouted, racing through a crowd of people after her Vulpix. But Snow was on a mission, dipping and dodging around strangers' legs as she chased after some invisible thing. Lily could only imagine what it could be, as her Vulpix was prone to darting off whenever she found something she wanted, whatever that something was. The trainer had finally begun making her way out of Northern Stellara, where she gathered the two newest members of her team. It was time to branch out and discover what else Stellara had to offer. Maybe she would go home and visit her parents at some point. But she'd rather have at least a few badges before facing her sisters again. Eridani seemed like the best place to start as she explored Western Stellara. However, the massive amount of people in the port city meant that chasing after Snow was rather difficult. She was constantly throwing apologie over her shoulder as she barged into people in pursuit of her partner. "I'm going to kill you when I catch you!" Lily called after the fox, which resulted in several shocked glances from passersby. Up ahead, Lily saw Snow finally stop, and, boy, was she relieved. She was exhausted from running. She finally caught up to the little fox, doubled over and panting. "You...brat..." she huffed. Snow ignored her, staring impatiently at a blue seal that was munching on a treat. "Just because someone else has snacks doesn't mean they're for you," she said exasperatedly. She looked at at a young man she assumed was the seal-creature's trainer. "Sorry about that," she said sheepishly. She looked down at the seal again, studying it curiously. "What is that, if you don't mind me asking?"

Get them while they are still hot! "Last one of the day, girly. Lucky you." He said to the small child as he handed her the last special of the day; Shaula-made Malasada. He hadn't just randomly chosen the dish; he knew for a fact one of the ships coming to port that day would be from Alola. The alolan treats hadn't lasted long; he hadn't made many and the people from Alola appeared to be curious about his foreign made Malasada's taste. It wasn't that he didn't have more; but what he did have left, belonged to his own pokemon, so tough luck. He hadn't set up a kitchen behind the counter this time, so cleaning up wasn't particularly hard, the boy simply shoving the lunch box in which he had stored the money into his bag before beginning to make his way back to the pokemon center. And immediately having to side step a Vulpix and the girl swearing to murder it that was chasing it before they could run him over. "Best luck, little Vulpix." His piece said, he started for the Pokemon Center once again, his steps taking him past the a local Tourist Information Center where the Vulpix and its would be murderess spoke to one of the many tourists. Who was feeding his tiny pokemon hot trash. The boy paused in his tracks, breathing in deeply at the sight of the snack being fed to the poor, unsuspecting seal. Not his business what this man fed its poor pokemon. He would just keep walking and allow this man to continue shoving trash down his pokemon's thro- Who was he kidding, his father would slap him if he ever let this pass. "Dude, catch." He said point blank the moment he got within speaking distance, gently chucking a malasada the man's way. "Just stop feeding it that crap, it's making me queasy."

Koa's contemplation was interrupted when a fluffy little Pokemon began to dart around him for some reason with someone chasing after it. When the Pokemon began to stare at Azura, he stepped in front of the Pokemon to keep the two separated. Azura tilted her head slightly at the strangers, but waved a flipper happily all the same. New friends for Koa, perhaps? When the fox Pokemon's trainer finally caught her breath, Koa smiled warmly at her apology "Oh, it's fine, it's fine! It's good to see Pokemon with so much energy...even though that energy is being used to leer at Pokemon who have snacks they don't have." he chuckled. His expression turned to one of worry for a moment "Hey um...it's probably not my place to say this, but could you...not say things like that to your Pokemon?" he was referring to what she shouted when chasing down Vulpix "Sorry, sorry, it just...made me a little uncomfortable, is all." he hid his right hand in his pocket. "A-anyway...her? This is Azura. She's a Popplio. Her species is pretty well known where I'm from...speaking of which, my name is Koa Leilani. I'm from Alola." he waved his hands in the traditional Alolan greeting. "Azura's a sweetheart, so don't be afraid to say hello," he said as Azura finished her snack and padded her way to be beside Koa and look at the Vulpix. Then, out of the corner of his eye, Koa saw someone toss something at him. He caught it and looked at it "Huh...a malasada? Here?" he looked at who threw it to him "Oh, um...thank you? I...didn't know these snacks were bad...I'm sorry. I'm not really experienced at this whole trainer thing yet." he blushed a little, scratching the back of his head "Thank you all the same." he tore the malasada in half and gave half of it to Azura. He looked between his half and the Vulpix before he decided to ask its trainer "Is your Pokemon hungry? I mean, I can give it some too, if it's alright with you."Suddenly, to add to everything happening at once, he got a call "Oh, hang on..." he answered it. "Hello? Oh, hey dad! Yeah I made it...what? Really? Already? Great! I'll check in at the local center...alright...thanks again, dad! Love you too. Bye." he hung up and smiled happily "My dad promised he'd help my journey by sending some Pokemon my way during his own trips. He sent one to me this morning apparently, so I have to go get that sorted out. Do either of you two want to come along?"

I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT Lily looked down at Snow, shaking her head in exasperation. Snow finally acknowledged her trainer's existence, looking up at her with a pout as if to ask where her treat was, despite having been fed shortly before they arrived in Eridani City. She looked back up at the other trainer, smiling in recognition as he introduced himself. "Oh! Alola! That's where Snow is from. So cool! I'm Lilith Scott," she added with a smile, "but it's really just easier to call me Lily. Pleasure to meet you." The trainer knelt to look at Azura, grinning at the seal. "It's a pleasure to meet you, too! What a cutie." Lily loved cute Pokemon. It had always been her dream to have a team of beautiful and badass Pokemon. Seeing the Popplio, she couldn't help but smile. Maybe she would have one for her team one day. The trainer stood up as something sailed through the air. She looked curiously at the object, which appeared to be some kind of food. Snow had apparently reached the same conclusion and yipped at Koa, her many tails wagging. Lily shot her an annoyed look, which the fox promptly ignored. Lily looked in the direction of the flying snack to see another trainer approaching them. Her lips turned down in a frown at his attitude, but she said nothing. After all, the Popplio hadn't seemed to think the the Pokemon snacks were trash. Lily thought of the Poffins in her backpack. Would the boy think those were trash, too? "She's always hungry. Feel free," Lily said with a small chuckle. Her eyebrows raised as the boy took a phone call. She hadn't talked to her own family since she started her journey, not ready to face her sisters until she had at least one gym badge. As the man hung up and asked if they wanted to join him, Lily nodded. "Sure, I have some free time."

Social Activity "No kidding." responded the boy as he squatted a few feet away from the two pokemon eating his confections, trying to gauge their reaction by the expression on their faces. He wasn't an expert at reading a pokemon's expressions or their body language, but if they were eating it on their own free will they liked it, right? He shook his head and moved to stand up; he had tried them before and his clients earlier hadn't had issues with them, it was probably best if he stopped second guessing their deliciousness. "Not a prob! Sorry if I took ya by surprise, but I couldn't let it go further. Junk food is the work of the devil." That crap had no nutritional value whatsoever and was oversaturated with sugars, preservatives and other unnatural substances. He didn't have much else to say. He simply watched the pokemon eat the food while the young man spoke on the phone. The girl that had almost run him over before was besides him, but he knew for a fact that he was terrible at talking to girls, and she looked kind of... annoyed? Angry? He didn't know; not-happy, Better not make it worse, as he seemed to manage without trying most of the time. His gaze shifted back to the young man as his phone call ended, humming in response as he considered the invitation. Well, he was just returning to the Pokemon Center, so it wasn't like he had anything important to do... "Sold my food, so I'm all free. Sure , I'll join ya." He finally said, his digits moving to touch at his net balls. This seemed like a good change to get his pokemon to socialize. Which one, though...? He paused in his thoughts, realizing he had forgotten all about common courtesy. "Oh, right; I'm Doug, by the by. Pleasure."

Koa knelt down and gave the Vulpix the other half of the Malasada "Here you go! Hope you enjoy it." he smiled warmly "I'm kind of surprised to find my home's regional Pokemon all the way out here...I had heard that the Aether Foundation was getting less strict on catching them. For a while they didn't want foreign trainers to catch too many and mess with the ecosystem. At least, that's what my dad told me. He's a conservation expert for them. That's neither her nor there though. She seems happy, and that's what's important. Ah, right, it's nice to meet you both as well." he said. He stood back up and looked around "Now where's the center here...?" there must have been one close by. One next to the port would make sense. Azura looked up from her meal and barked happily at Lilith. She was clearly having a good day with everyone here so far. He felt stung by Doug's words, looking away from him a bit. Did he seriously already make a huge mistake as a trainer? How was he supposed to know what was okay to feed his Pokemon and what wasn't? He scratched the back of his head nervously and sighed. He'd try to ignore it for now, but it definitely did a number on his confidence "U-uh, anyway, I think I see the center." he looked towards the uniform design of most Pokemon Centers, red and white like a Pokeball. "Oh, and thanks for coming along! And thank you for the malasada, Doug. Azura seems to really enjoy it." he said. Azura followed closely behind, enjoying her meal. There was a sense of comfort for Koa in the Pokemon center as he stepped inside. The layout was a little different in that the building felt a little larger than an Alolan center, but the atmosphere was still pleasant. He walked up to a PC and logged in. The delivery was available and with a few clicks, a new Pokeball materialized in a slot next to the PC. "Let's meet the new friend, shall we?" Koa said. He was eager to meet his new Pokemon, so he brought it out of the Pokeball. A tiny, green and pink Pokemon shook itself awake and looked at all of the strangers around it. Koa took out his Pokedex to examine the little Pokemon "According to the Pokedex, this is a Fomantis. A grass type...? Looks almost like Grass and Bug, but that's apparently the point. They enjoy basking in the sunlight, so that's good to know. I'll have to keep him out a lot...I prefer it that way anyway. Hello there." he smiled adoringly as he knelt down next to his new friend. The Fomantis ignored him for the time being and walked over to Azura to stare at the malasada she was eating. Azura tore a piece off and offered it, only for the Fomantis to swipe both pieces from her to her surprise. "H-hey now, there's no need for that, come on..." Koa took a piece from him which made the Pokemon squeak at him indignantly "She was giving you a piece, don't be rude...share, alright?" he gave a piece back to Azura. The Fomantis bristled a little bit, upset at this turn of events, but simply turned his back on them as he nibbled at his share of the treat. Koa sighed, but couldn't help but smile "It's a baby...that much I can tell. This'll be interesting. I think I'll name him Rythix."Lilith Scott Doug Freeman

I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT Shrewd eyes watched as Koa handed over a portion of the malasada to Snow, gauging the fox's reaction. Lily didn't seriously think anything was wrong with the snack - she had seen Snow eat far worse - but her partner's happiness was her utmost priority. She nodded with satisfaction as Snow sniffed at the treat before snatching it out of Koa's hand, munching on it happily, her many tails wagging with delight. "My dad kinda had this obsession with each of his daughters getting their starter from every region he's visited. The rest is history," she explained, gazing fondly at her Pokemon. Sure, Snow ended up being much smaller than the rest of her breed, but that only made her more special. After Snow had scarfed down the malasada, Lily began following Koa to the Pokemon Center, curiously looking around at the city. It was nothing like Vega, and that alone fascinated her. Maybe she would stick around and try her hand at catching a few Pokemon. The place was likely swarming with water-types, which would make an excellent addition to her team. As Koa fiddled with the PC, Lily leaned against the wall, watching Snow chase her tails with mild amusement. She hoped the fox would eventually tire herself out so there wouldn't be anymore rampages through the city. Her eyes widened with surprise and she immediately pulled out her Pokedex when Koa's new Pokemon appeared. The dex scanned the creature and Lily read through its summary as Koa narrated. She watched the exchange between Koa's Pokemon as she stored her Pokedex back in her pocket, giggling in amusement. The Fomantis was about as bad as Snow, though Lily didn't voice the opinion aloud. "Looks like you have your work cut out for you," she said sympathetically. She thought back to the days when she first received Snow. The Vulpix had been uncontrollable, and it had taken years for her to even remotely listen to Lily. "I reckon she'll be pretty powerful once she's evolved," Lily mused.

Social Activity He wasn't sure which of his pokemon to bring out. He wanted his Larvesta to socialize a little; her shyness was holding her back way too much. But she was always the one he sent out, and he got the feeling his other pokemon wanted to get their turn as well. He scratched at the back of his head, considering two Net Balls over the rest. His ears perked when Alolan young man thanked him, though he didn't quite look up. "I know, you are welcome." Was the child's distracted response. He didn't seem to notice the way his previous words had affected the young man, mostly pursing his lips while looking over his Net Balls. He found himself pulled away from his thoughts when Koa's new pokemon finally arrived. His eyes were drawn towards the ray of light that popped out of the pokeball as it took form, his eyes popping open as it into the form of a... "Is that a bug type?" Asked the boy as he squatted to get a closer look, a hand around his chin as he tilted his head slightly. It certainly looked like a bug type pokemon, but there was something... off. Other than the fact that he did not recognize it, anyways. Pulling out his own Pokedex, the machine scanned the pokemon just in time for Koa to inform him of the sad news. "Aw." He mumbled as he flipped the device closed, sliding it into his pocket shortly after. The boy looked a tad disappointed, lips pursed. "And it looked cool too. Oh well." He lamented, before shrugging his shoulders, crossing his arms as he watched it interact with its teammate. " That is a dick move." He commented through amused snorts, his shoulders shaking with mirth as the tiny Mantis took both pieces for itself. "I like 'im. Seems to be a go-getter." He said as he stood up from his squat, finally picking one of his Net ball. "Looks to be a handful, so it certainly would be nice if it did." He commented in response to the girl. He was certainly hoping a few of the less... cooperative members of his team turned out pretty strong, considering how much of a pain they were making themselves to train. "So, Bratty and from Alola is the theme, right?" He said bluntly, grasping the Net ball. "She should fit right in, then." He commented as he pressed the pokeball's button, the device popping open shortly after. An arachnid with its head surrounded by water bubble popped out, looking around lazily as she regained her bearings. Turning to face her trainer, she gave the boy a look, which he returned. "Well, you wanted to be out of your pokeball more often. Don't make me regret this." He said as he reached into his bag and produced more treats, chucking three of them at the spider. "Try and sh-" She promptly swallowed them all in one fell swoop. "-Or just eat them all up, why not." He finished in deadpan, his lip curling further south as the spider gave 'im a cheeky look, before turning around and sauntering confidently to the rest of the pokemon. "Patience is a virtue, dad always says." He muttered to himself, breathing in deeply.

Koa crossed his arms and smiled at his new Pokemon, who continued to nibble away on his share of the malasada. "He might be a handful now, but I'll do my best to take care of him and teach him. That seems to be part of the fun of being a trainer, after all." at least he seemed confident enough. When Lilith explained how she got her Vulpix, he smiled "What does your dad do, if you don't mind me asking? Sounds like he must do a lot of traveling if he can do something like that." he said. In regards to her statement that her Vulpix will be powerful once she evolves, he nodded "I have no doubt she will be strong! I wish I had more to say about it, but I'm not too experienced with being a trainer yet."Meanwhile, Azura padded over to Rythix and tilted her head at him. He looks at her and turned away. He must have been pouting over not getting Azura's share too. She didn't seem too bothered and kept up her positive, optimistic behavior. She wanted to be this Pokemon's friend. She blew a large bubble and placed it on the ground in front of Rythix and hopped on top of it. While he pretended not to notice, it was clear he curiously glanced at her. Azura stood up on her tail and flexed her flippers in a 'strongman' pose before bouncing off the bubble and landing on her flippers in a handstand. Rythix finished eating his snack and watched with a slightly amused expression. Azura beamed happily, glad that it seemed like he was having fun. Koa was delighted to see the two play "Oh, that's just precious, isn't it?" he clasped his hands together, absolutely adoring the interaction. He looked over at Doug, curious at his reaction to the Fomantis. Doug seemed excited at the idea of it possibly being a bug type, but looked a little sullen when it was revealed it was a pure Grass type "You must really like Bug types, huh Doug? What about them draws you to them?" he asked. As for Doug mentioning Rythix being a go-getter, he chuckled "He's certainly a spirited little guy. I'm looking forward to seeing how he'll grow."When Doug brought out one of his Pokemon, Koa watched the two interact before laughing a little "Looks like we all got Pokemon that can be a bit of a handful from time to time. Ah well." he smiled and knelt down to see all of the Pokemon do their things. Curious about Doug's Pokemon, Koa registered it in his Pokedex "These Pokemon are pretty cool too. Where'd you come across this one?" he said as he put his Pokedex away. He gently pat Azura's head with his right hand. Koa had a strange, purple tattoo in the shape of an abstract skull wrapping around his right hand. "Hey Doug, have you tried showing your Pokemon how sharing works? Maybe that'll help cement the idea?" he said, wanting to help out in whatever way he could in terms of raising the Pokemon. When Rythix finished eating, Koa picked him up and stood up. Rythix squirmed a bit "Hey, hey, it's alright...let's just get you to a window so you can get some sun." he said. There was a table next to a window, so Koa took a seat there and placed Rythix on top of the table "There, how's that?" he asked. Rythix didn't respond to Koa and simply got himself settled to start absorbing the sunlight. The table was just a few feet away from everyone else, so Koa could still talk with everyone and watch over the Pokemon. He had asked a lot of questions, but he just wanted to get to know the people here "So...what's everyone's goal here, anyway? I'm here to sort of...find out what I want to do, I suppose. To better myself and my Pokemon." he said. Maybe their motivations will help him figure out what to do next.

I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT "He's a businessman for some company that works around all the regions. But he always wanted to be a trainer, so he and my mother moved to Stellara to make sure my sisters and I all were." She shrugged, a sour look on her face as she thought about her "perfect" sister. Shaking her head, Lily watched as Azura began to perform for her new teammate, smiling a little at the interaction. Snow seemed thoroughly interested as well, and began pawing at the air in front of Azura's bubble, wanting desperately to pop it but not wanting to interrupt. She looked up at Lily and whined, but Lily shook her head and Snow contented herself with pouting while she watched the Popplio try to play with the new Fomantis. The smile was wiped off Lily's face when Doug summoned his Pokemon. She didn't want to be rude, but the appearance of the spider-like creature immediately made her skin crawl and she took a few steps back, her lip curling into a sneer. She quickly wiped the expression off her face, but kept her distance from the arachnid. "Cute," she lied weakly. As the boys began talking, she sat down on the ground, pulling a hairbrush out of her backpack and drawing Snow into her lap to brush her fur. She gently stroked the Vulpix's hair fluff with the brush, to which the little fox sighed happily, letting her head rest on Lily's thigh. She watched with a chuckle as the Fomantis fussed in Koa's arms before he took the mantis to get some sunlight. Lily thought about joining him at the table, but Snow had dozed off in her lap, so she would just continue the conversation from her spot on the floor. "Eh?" she said as she put the hairbrush back in her bag. She thought about the question for a moment and shrugged, smiling. "I dunno. At first, it was to be the champion, or at least to be better than my sisters. But now..." She looked down at Snow and thought about her other two Pokemon tucked away in their Pokeballs. "Now I think I just want to have fun, ya know? Let my Pokemon grown and become strong. I've actually been thinking about becoming a coordinator. That's more my taste. And with how cute Snow is, I'm sure she'll win tons of ribbons," she cooed over her partner, who's lip twitched in the beginnings of a smile.

Social Activity His mind going to his ever uncooperative Scyther while a grin tugged at his lips. At least she was playing nice when out of her Net Ball now. Progress? "It can be fun, yeah. And I've always been drawn to them. The very first pokemon I met was a bug type, my father's Volcarona." He pursed his lips. "Then again, he was also a fire type too. Guess my mom's Heracross also helped. She played with me a lot when I was a toddler." Not to mention bug types were extremely common in general within Shaula. He couldn't even remember the amount of Caterpies and Spinaraks he had found on his parent's backyard. "I found her at Largia Swamp. It was..." His face turned in a sneer at the memory, his brow twitching slightly. "A memorable meeting." He said, clicking his tongue. The sting of those bubbles was still rather fresh in his memory. If he noticed Lilith's reaction to his Dewpider, he did not comment on it, though chances were he had missed it completely. "I know, right?" He said cheerily in response to her comment, before pursing his lips at Koa's question. "Yeah. Doesn't work for the most part though; she's very... human in a certain regard." Namely, if she was to do something, she was to receive something back. No exceptions. "Give me a sec. " Dewpider was about as entranced by the Popplio's little show as the Fomantis was, which meant it hardly noticed as her trainer's light steps approached her from behind. While Koa and Lilith discussed her father's work and his expectations for his children, Doug squatted in front of Dewpider, reaching for the water bubble on her head and turning her around towards him. The Dewpider's legs squirmed as she suddenly found herself plucked from the floor and turned around, before her eyes narrowed in irritation when her gaze settled on him. He snorted in response, holding up three more treats. "These, are for sharing. I want you to go over there, say hi, offer these to the rest of the little guys, and I'll make something nice for you when we get home. Play nice and you get a reward. How's that?" The pokemon took pause at that, humming thoughtfully as she considered his offer. Doug left her to think, turning towards the other two. He hadn't been away for long, and had heard most of the convo. "He chose the best region." said the boy, grinning while giving a thumbs up. "Ain't no region as tough as Stellara out there. Uh, for better or worse." Just as its trainers were tough as nails, so where the baddies. Team Crux was no joke. Koa seemed certain in the Vulpix's future, and Doug couldn't be sure if the man truly believed it or was just being nice. The boy had never been one to mince words. Interlacing his fingers behind his head, he thought of what to say quickly, before deciding to simply be honest with himself.. "It's all up to ya." He said shortly after Koa, his ever present cheeky grin on his lips as he nodded encouragingly at her. Part of his new job was to encourage other trainers, or so he had been told. He had already been trying to get as many new friends and rivals as possible fired up before, so it wasn't like he was doing anything new. Koa's question was one he had answered to himself and others a thousand times before, and brought a cocky grin to the boy's lips. He glanced at Lilith curiously, cocking his head to the side. "Coordinator?" He asked, tilting a brow slightly. He had heard the term before, he was sure. He scratched his chin, brows knotting as he tried to remember. "Ah!" He exclaimed, snapping his finger. "The Pokemon Contest Experts!" He had heard of those before, though he had never been witness to one. "Never really saw one before, though my dad loves that kind of stuff." He wasn't one to stay and watch stuff on the TV, so he had missed them all. He grinned at her. "Hey, give us a call whenever you mean to go in one. We'll cheer for ya!" He said, signing up Koa as well without even realizing it. "As for my goals, hmm. Man, I've so many." He said, glancing up as he thought. The question wasn't what was his goal, but which one should he focus on first. "Well. I'm focusing on my Gym Challenge right now." He said, glancing at his pokemon as he did. "I may actually challenge the Eridani City Gym later today." He admitted, scratching at his chin. "Actually, screw 'may'. I am challenging the gym later today." He said, nodding with a grin. He had been putting it off for a while now, training his team until 'they were ready'. If he kept waiting, he would get left behind by Dokuro, Edwin, Mikey and everyone else. "Considering your goal, you should take on the Gym Challenge, Koa." He commented to the young man. While the talking had been going on, Dewpider had finally decided whether a few small treats now were better than a large treat later. Tentatively, almost uncertainly, it had approached the other tiny pokemon it had never met, before slowly holding out the Malasadas as a sort of peace offering.

Azura played a little more for her little audience and was positively delighted they enjoyed her performance so much. When she was finished, she poked at the bubble and it dissipated without leaving too much water to clean up. She did a little bow and seemed really happy to be there for her new friends. It didn't even bother her that Snow tried to pop the bubble. It was simply curiosity after all. At least, that's how she perceived it. When Koa picked up Rythix to place him on the sunny table, she waved goodbye to him and hoped he enjoyed his nap. She smiled happily at those still present like the Dewpider and Snow. "Well what's important is what you want to do with your life. At least that's how I see it. Really though, I hope the region's been kind to you so far. I certainly hope it will be kind to me." Koa said to Lily with a soft smile. He had noticed her reaction to the Dewpider, but decided not to say anything to avoid causing a scene between Doug and Lily. He watched her care for Snow by brushing at her fur "A coordinator? I don't think we have anything like contests in Alola, but I know about them from what I've seen on T.V. with my parents. Some of the stuff that you see is just...jaw dropping. I'd like to give one a try one day and see how Azura performs. In any case I say you should go for it! We've all got a talent we're just waiting to find, so how will we know until we give it a shot? I think Snow definitely has what it takes. Heh...sorry, I tend to ramble a bit when I probably shouldn't..." Koa was happy that Lily had an idea of what she wanted to do. He still hadn't gotten that far yet. "I think you've got the right idea though. Just enjoy life by your own expectations and wants, you know?"
When Doug said how the first Pokemon he ever met was a Volcarona, his eyes widened behind his glasses "I've heard of those! I've read articles about them and how Larvesta can be found in one of the jungles on my home island of Akala. I can see why you were so fascinated with them ever since. They're very beautiful Pokemon." he said. He listened to how he met the Dewpider "Sounds like by memorable you mean it was a little rough. And...maybe she just needs time then. A little positive reinforcement goes a long way. I think you can bring out the best in her given enough time." he tried his best to be positive for everyone and their Pokemon. He sat back and watched Rythix continue to soak in the sunlight while sometimes making squeaky snoring sounds. Koa watched adoringly before he listened to Doug's plans on his Gym Challenge. He had heard of these, but wasn't sure how exactly to go about them. They seemed tough. When Dough suggested that he give it a try, he seemed a bit nervous "Me? Well...I don't know. That might be a bit out of my league, personally. I just started being a trainer so I don't think I'd have what it takes..." he sighed a bit. However, he looked at his Pokemon again. Azura was so happy meeting all of these new people and Rythix was content with his sunlight, but there was so much untapped potential in them. In himself too. He mustered a small smile "I'll consider it. If anything I should at least try, right? I can't just keep myself from doing something just because it looks difficult."Azura looked over at the Dewpider as she reluctantly offered the snacks Doug had given her. She smiled warmly at the Dewpider and took the snack. Since Rythix was sleeping, she would hold onto the extra snack for whenever he woke up and let him know who gave them the snacks. She hoped that the Dewpider saw how much she appreciated the gifts. Though she had already had half a malasada and a treat from earlier...so she tore half of hers in half and gave one to Dewpider so they could enjoy it together.

I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT Lily smiled from her place on the ground, focusing intently on grooming her partner but still somewhat engaged in the conversation. "Even though you're not ready yet doesn't mean you won't be," she said, pausing to look up at Koa. "Take some time to get your bearings and then go for it. You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take or something like that." She gently tugged at a particularly nasty tangle in Snow's fur, running over the spot several times with her brush until it came loose. She gently combed through the now-smooth fur with her fingers, pondering the gym challenge. When she first began her journey, all of her goals revolved around becoming the Stellara champion. It was funny how things changed so quickly. Now that Snow was fast asleep in her lap, Lily realized that it was probably time for them to be on their way. She rose to her feet, holding Snow close to her chest so as not to disturb the sleeping fox. She gave her Pokemon a last, adoring smile and then turned to the boys. "It was nice meeting you both, and your Pokemon. But I think its time to get Sleepyhead here back to the hotel. I'm sure the rest of my team will be excited for a nap as well. Good luck to you both," she said pleasantly, turning and walking out the door of the Pokemon Center. The door slid closed behind her as she walked out into the Eridani City sunlight. She turned and cast a final glance at the Pokemon Center, just vaguely making out Koa and Doug's silhouettes inside. Then she off, heading back to the hotel, wondering if she would ever see the two males again. [EXIT.]

Social Activity Doug found his hand reaching for Larvesta's pokeball, a grin tugging at his lips. They were still ways off from reaching that form, but just the promise of it was enough to keep him on course. He nodded at Lilith's encouraging words to Koa, giving the taller man a thumbs up and grinning. "You can do it." With Lilith saying her good byes and taking her leave, Doug returned the farewell and waved as she went away until her silhouette disappeared in the distance. Then, he took glance at his PokeNav before nodding to himself, beckoning back his watery spider, who reluctantly pulled away from the show the Popplio was putting on to return to her trainer. "Well dude, it's been fun!" He said, raising his hand in good bye, before remembering something. "Oh, right!" He said, soundly palming his forehead, before fishing his wallet out of one of his pockets and pulling out a business card from it, holding it out to Koa. "Keep in contact dude! Lillith left before I could give 'er one, but I'm sure we'll run into each other again." He said, sounding certain on this chance. The card possessed a simple design, with a black, matte surface and a neon green web pattern dipping into the lower left corner. " Jun-fan 'Douglas' Freeman, Future Pokemon Champion", it read, along with his PokeNav contact info. "You'll make the right choice for you and your team." Said Doug with utmost confidence. "In fact, I bet You and I will probably be seeing each other again soon." He said enigmatically, before crouching down to pick up Dewpider, and beginning to walk towards the exit of the Pokemon Center. "See you on the flip side, Koa!" He said while walking backwards, waving cheerily at the man before slowly turning away and disappearing into the crowd, turning his gaze to the map on his PokeNav before nodding to himself. He set course for the Eridani City Gym. [Exit thread]
