CAPTURE DENIED You did not capture the Oddish. You didn't show the Oddish's personality at all in your post. If you want, you can edit your post, and request another review. Remember: for every capture, you HAVE to show the Pokemon's personality, even if you want to go the battling route. MURASAKI DOKURO

Mission, in process. "Congrats, you've successfully defeated local Plant life. Can we continue or will you be defeating the weeds next?" If his friend thought he was getting a kudos from him, they clearly hadn't seen each other in way too long. Walking past his friend, he and Ledyba exchanged a few more playful jabs before he eventually turned to face Dokuro, walking backwards while showing him his PokeNav's screen, the GPS showing were they stood. "Come on dude, let's get a move on. We are getting close to our target; the GPS says it's only a kilometer or so away. Race you there." It didn't matter if Dokuro didn't normally fall for taunts; If he made it a competition the shorty would join in. Normally this would be the part were they count to three before the race could start. Approximately half a second had passed since he challenged his friend to the race when he suddenly began sprinting in the direction pointed by the GPS.

"Technically, Oddish is the weed. It says it right here in the pokedex: Weed pokemon. Maybe get a little bit more informed next time?" Dokuro really didn't think his friend would be so uninformed about this level of technicality about pokemon. Goes to show he wasn't a researcher like him.
Douglas said something to Dokuro about racing to their destination, not without dashing off right after challenging him. Dokuro sighed. "Mareanie, hold on well" Mareanie barely had time to react before Dokuro himself dashed off to catch up with his friend. "Hey, that is cheating you know?" Yelled Dokuro at his friend who was way ahead of him already.
But at least it was a good way to finally reach their objective. Dokuro was not really keen of the place they were at, so the expectation of the rare specimen up ahead filled him with determination; it almost made him ignore the annoying environment.

Mission, in process. "Fine, I'll follow your example and do my best to increase the amount of useless knowledge I have next time, promise." Replied the boy airily after winning their race, humming. "I challenged you to a race, I never said on three or anything. Try being quicker next time, I hear it helps better than whining." Was the boy's flippant response to his friend's protests, humming contentedly as he looked around. Glancing back at the reference picture his client had attached to the assignment, he nodded to himself. One simple look around the place revealed that they were indeed at the place. The plants they were looking for were everywhere. They weren't super small; they could probably carry around three in his bag, and two on each hand. He turned around, looking at his friend. "These are the plants. Let's get to work." He said as he rolled back the sleeves of his shirt, interlacing his fingers together before pushing them outwards, the sound of the air pockets within their joints popping music to his ears. One thrown Net ball later and his Scyther was out in the field. It gazed at him aloofly, giving her new teammate Ledyba a glance before dismissing it. Ledyba gasped, looking offended. Doug had to snort; that had been his own reaction when he first captured the overly independent Mantis. "I know you don't like listening to me." He said to his pokemon point blank, who snorted at the understatement. The boy huffed. "But I kinda need your help now." He said, before gesturing around them, and then lightly kicking one of the plants on the floor. "We need to collect these things. We can probably rip them off the floor, but lord knows ripping a plant off by the roots is the hardest way you can go about it. May I ask for your Help, please?" The Scyther stared blankly at him, then at the plants, before slowly walking towards the plant and wedging her Scyther underneath it, dragging it through the girth of the plant shortly after. It cut cleanly through it, allowing the boy to pick the plant and place it inside his bag. He grinned. "Attagirl." The Scyther snorted, rolling its eyes before moving towards another plant, sliding her scyther underneath it yet again. Doug glanced at his friend. "How's it going over there?"

"There is no useless knowledge in this world, Doug." Answered Dokuro, adopting a serious pose after arriving second. "Also is still cheating."
Dokuro looked around. They were some very unique flowers. 'I really hope this Dr. Logan would let me study some of these too' "Alright. Maybe Oddish can help us pick up some of these, don't you think? She clearly seemed to have great observational skills, might pick up some of the best ones around."
Dokuro then let Oddish out of the ball. "Alright Oddish, haven't said it yet so, welcome to the team. Now, what do you say we go pick up some flowers? I think you might be able to pick the best ones around here."
Oddish looked straight at Dokuro. She clearly didn't trust him much yet. She just went and started getting a mud face mask from the soil they were at, as it seemed to be very rich, which would explain why the rare flowers grew there. "Come on Oddish, we could really use your help on this."
Oddish just stood doing the same. "Alright, I guess you can help after you finish that." And so Dokuro started checking the flowers out. "Very interesting indeed." After 5 minutes or so, Oddish unplanted her face from the ground and looked around. When she saw Dokuro about to pick a flower, she slapped his hand and glared intensively. Then proceeded to point at another one nearby. "Hey! That hurt, you know? But I guess you do care at least. Thanks". Oddish didn't really mind Dokuro being thankful. She just proceeded to brush her leaves, and then decided to actually help gather more flowers.

Mission, in process. Having Dokuro's new grass type certainly seemed like a good idea; in theory at least . In practice, the pokemon had proceeded to faceplant itself into the soil for five minutes straight. "Well, there goes that." Was all Douglas could say as he grasped another one of the plants, and tugged firmly with a grunt, the soil shifting as it made way for the torn roots.
Besides him, Ledyba tugged yet another plant off the ground, holding it up to Douglas proudly proudly. The boy smiled at the flying bug. "Good job mate. I'll treat ya to something later." He praised the pokemon as he stuffed another one of the plants into his bag.
Then a trio of plants were unceremoniously dumped onto said bag, most not fitting inside. Doug shifted his gaze from the bag to his Scyther, the pokemn responsible for the haul.
"Well look at you, doing all the heavy lifting 'round here." He praised, grinning. "Thanks girl."
The Scyther snorted, turning away without another sound. Ledyba crossed all four of its arms and grunted at the larger bug's attitude.
Doug could see those two would get along swimmingly.
He turned his gaze back to his friend, speaking up.
"All set over here. You done over there?"

"Well after a rough start, gotta say Oddish has been a great help. She really has an eye for top quality right here." Oddish just turned her head away from Dokuro after he said that, and went her own way to make sure she re-planted seeds for those flowers they collected. "Hu, good idea Oddish. Didn't think you were this kind of ambientalist, then again you are a grass type. Well, let's turn these flowers in."
After that he looked over at his friend. It seemed his scyther was finally listening to him. Maybe he would have to do something with Salandit to get her to leave that bad habit of hers. That's it. He will make some special training with her after this mission was over. Might also grab the chance to catch more pokemon wherever he goes to hold the special training. It would be killing two pidgeys with one rock throw.

Mission, in process. "Huh, that so?" The boy asked outloud, glancing at the Oddish. Seems like it had picked up the slack while he had distracted himself with his pokemon and work. Scyther wasn't quite listening to Douglas, and least, not in the sense Dokuro believed. She was willing to help him at times, provided he asked nicely enough... and it felt in a good mood. Scyther wasn't antagonistic towards her trainer after all. Honestly, at this point Douglas would take whatever he could get. "Well, we are off to yet another long walk. We won't be getting to Rana Town for a good, long while." He commented to his friend balanced the two plants on top of his shoulders, humming. "Wanna play a game?" He asked his friend, though he extended the offer to the pokemon around them as well. "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with..." Doug pursed his lips, looking around before his eyes finally settled on something. "P." This was going to be a long, boring walk, Scyther could tell. She sighed as Ledyba began to frantically look around the forest, pointing excitedly at every little thing that it thought might let it win the game. "Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong-" Was the stream of responses coming out of Doug's mouth in response to his pokemon.

"Sigh. That game is too pointless here. And I don't think you want to make that scyther of yours get pissed off from pointless games either." Dokuro glanced at his rival, then to his Oddish. "Oddish, come back" And called her back to her pokeball. "Then again I don't see what else to do here, unless you're too tired to race back?"
Without any warning he dashed off back to Rana town just as he mentioned the word 'race'. "Last one there is a Shuckle in a Sticky Web"
This time, without having to control his speed as to not bother Mareanie in his head, Dokuro was able to run faster than before. Also pulling a revenge no warning start on Doug would be a nice revenge on him. At least he would be able to get out of that forest quickly if they ran at max speed.
'That will show him.'

Goddamn it. He would have liked to say he had seen that coming, but frankly, he had all but forgotten about that with all the plant yanking. Figures Dokuro would hold onto it, though. That said... "Wait, are actually racing all the way back to Rana Town?" Bit of a tall order, considering it was quite more than a few hours away; they were in completely different sides of Stellara, after all. His friend would probably try it anyways... Oh boy. "Ugh, goddamn it." Groaned the boy as he tightened his hold onto the plants under his arms, nodding at his two pokemon. "Come on." Needless to say, their race didn't make it to Rana Town; too far away, even they couldn't race all the way there. Maybe they could marathon it... Something to consider for next time. Dokuro got his revenge victory by getting to the closest settlement first; Doug did not bother to argue. Making the way back to Rana Town from there was considerably easier; there was no shortage of transports in a Region like Stellara, so very soon, they were getting off their train ride at Rana Town and delivering the Plants to Dr. Logan. Doug stood aside as the Doctor examined their bounty, not having too much interests in the plants. Maybe his friend would care, but Doug personally just wanted to get his cash already. "Watcha gonna do once we are done here anyways?" Asked the boy to his friend, crossing his arms behind his head lazily. He hadn't even known his friend had left the town until the day before. They were definitely not gonna be travelling together; that would ruin any surprises they got for one another in future battles. "I was considering passing by Nair City myself next." He informed his friend, "Maybe scout the Fire Gym while getting some cash."

It was a long race, but they finally reached a nice place to stop. Dokuro certainly would have loved to try and reach Rana town by running, but he just didn't knew anybody who would have that stamina. At least beating Doug for this part was worth it.
From there, they just rode a train as suggested by Douglas. Dokuro was barely able to contain the urges to start studying those plants with Dr. Logan.
"Uh? What I will be doing after we finish this? Most likely going to see how much I can study with this Dr. Logan. Then, is gonna be a secret training. You will not see what hits you the next time we meet." Said Dokuro answering his friend's question with a really confident smirk. "I don't really have any plans to hit a gym leader yet. At least not until I know all my pokemon are in sync." It was getting late now, and Dokuro was feeling tired from all the adventuring. "Well, I'll take a rest now. Wake me up when we arrive at Rana."
After the train ride, they finally arrived at Rana Town. First thing was to turn in the flowers to Dr. Logan, who was hopefully very pleased with the specimens brought.
"Guess this is goodbye until next time, Doug. Don't get bitten by some weird bug out there."

Goddamn it. Douglas just smirked at his friend's boast, leaning his head back against his seat. "Likewise. Don't expect our next battle to end any different than the last." He said flippantly with a shit eating grin, before deflating against the cushions. Boasting aside, he was a bit bushed from all the of the day's activities. He couldn't wait to get to his room on Rana Town. Besides him, Scyther stared out the windows silently, watching the scenery flash by as the train sped through Stellara. It hadn't been long since she had been captured, so this was the first time she was inside a train... The first time outside the pokeball anyways. Ledyba was much more open about its excitement and wonderment, flying around the boys and the Mantis pokemon before latching itself to one of the windows, watching the landscape pass with wide eyes. Soon after they arrived and gave the Doctor his specimens, the boys found themselves walking through the streets of Rana Town. Douglas intended to make a beeline for the pokemon center himself. Turning to face his friend, Doug held out his fist towards the other boy. "Yeah, see ya on the flip side. Don't get poisoned and die on me, Purple." He replied to his friend, before fist bumping the other boy, before turning away. "Scyther, Ledyba. Time to sleep. Let's go!" Behind him, Scyther snorted, walking past him without giving him any signs she had even heard him. Besides him, Ledyba shook two of its fists at her, crossing the other two over its chest while shaking its head condescendingly. Doug could only sigh in response, scratching the back of his head as he fell in line behind her. Ah well, baby steps. Some day she would listen to him. Hopefully.
