WITH EVERY BROKEN BONE, I SWEAR I LIVED Honestly, he did not like how the way things have turned out. In the middle of his travelling, he suddenly got a call that his mother was sick. As in, very sick. Curable sick, thank Arceus, but it was still serious enough that his father asked for him to come back home, and Lou didn't need to be told twice to obey. After all, this was the second time that his mother became bed-ridden to such an illness, so he wasn't just going to shrug this off and allow her to suffer on her own, even if he left his old Pokemon with her. His father couldn't stay with her all of the time because of work. It was here that he needed to put someone else's needs over his own desires, but as he considered what he would tell his newfound Pokemon, he felt guilty that he couldn't get Daisy what he had promised. In a last ditch attempt, he bought a very cheap piece of cardboard and a marker, making sure that he had enough money left for the trip back home. By the port side of Eridani, he propped the crude sign up, which was readable but not exactly pretty: Looking for Coordinator to take care of PokemonHe told all of his other Pokemon that they would be going back home with him, to which they were happy with the idea. Hemlock questioned Lou though if sending Daisy to someone else was the right choice, especially because he didn't tell her of the plan. What if she wanted to stay with them instead? Well, he felt very torn about the whole thing, but he didn't want for her to get too attached and let go of her dream, because he certainly wasn't going to go into Pokemon Contests in the foreseeable future. And so, with Al floating beside him, he sat on the cold pavement and waited for someone to pass by. He only had until tomorrow when his boat to Johto would arrive.
Lv 10 - Female - Overgrow Tackle, Growl, Razor Leaf, Poison Powder Daisy is a very prissy Pokemon. She likes to spend her time sunbathing or grooming herself. Her grooming process can take hours, and if she gets a speck of dirt on her, the process starts all over again. This can be very bothersome when she is needed for any reason as she focuses completely on her appearance and holds it in high regard. Daisy dreams of one day being a star and she has a tendency to treat battles like a dance or a performance, sometimes focusing more on her own beauty than actually winning the battle. However, being extremely proud, she becomes a ferocious Pokemon when insulted and will stop at nothing to regain her pride. none ✖ last hurrah before Lou goes back!

About an hour of waiting had passed before someone looked to be searching for someone, a young man clad in a green ensemble and a hat holding what looked to be a small Chimchar in his arms, gently giving the little one a small pat with his hand as he cradled the little Pokemon. He smiled warmly as the little guy cozied up to him a bit more as a faint wind blew from the sea. "There there, little one. I've got you... Poor little guy, sitting all alone by himself on the corner. Don't worry, I'll find you a nice place. Someone to look out for you... promise." Avery smiled at the little Chimchar who seemed to gently nod. In truth, Avery had seen the sign asking for a Coordinator to come assist him. After asking around, he had started to find his way over to the location where the male was sitting. On his way, however... he had heard this little one crying out for anyone to pick them up, a small stray Chimchar who seemed to be stranded out on his own. Well... Avery couldn't have that, no sir! So, with the little Chimchar in tow, he walked up to the gentleman sitting on the concrete with a small smile. He knelt down so that the gentleman didn't have to stand up as he smiled warmly. "... howdy, friend. Something tells me you're in need of a Coordinator to help you with something. I just so happen to be looking for someone to help take care of this little lost Pokemon here... perhaps we could help one another out?" Clarification Corner "Avery talking, hoping for a new home for this little guy..."
CHIMCHAR level eight, male/female, blaze leer, scratch, ember
This Chimchar is a relatively naive creature, having little experience with the outside world as a whole. As such, it is incredibly trusting and even sort of oblivious to the dangers of the world or the more minute details of how the world works; instead, it is like a child. Clinging to its trainer, it is a bit of a crybaby and ill-suited for any kind of competition, preferring to be the team mascot or baby, rather than compete. So while it is an incredibly friendly Pokemon, perhaps one might consider it too friendly. It will get along with just about anyone, for better or for worse, and it has little ambition of its own.

WITH EVERY BROKEN BONE, I SWEAR I LIVED Woah, he didn't expect for his sign to have actually worked. He was in slight disbelief when he saw a person approach him with a Chimchar in his hands, seemingly with the intent to trade. Oh no, now here came the hard part. It was all happening so quickly that he didn't even figure out what he was going to say to Daisy. He stood up, dropping the sign, but hesitated before speaking. "Are you a Coordinator?" perhaps that was made obvious but he wanted to ask to make sure. "I have a Chikorita that dreams of being on stage, so I was thinking a Coordinator would be a good fit." this plan was sort of backfiring on him, however. He had no idea whether he could trust this random stranger who was carrying a happy-looking Chimchar. Okay, he supposed the fire type's calmness around this person meant something, but still! "Well, maybe I should let Daisy decide for herself..." he muttered as he pulled out her Poke Ball. With a beam of light, her form appeared on the harbor grounds, lightly shaking her body to wake her up. She let out a small squeak, wondering where they are before looking at Louis. He quietly picked her up and whispered to her softly. "Hey, uh...I'm going to fulfil my promise now." he muttered, stroking her gently. "(Wait, now? What's happening? Where are you going? Is this--)" she faced the other trainer and noticed that he had another Pokemon with him. She--Lou was leaving her? Truth to be told, she had almost completely forgot about her promise, only remembering it whenever she would see a Coordinator perform on TV or something, but even then she didn't feel like she needed to rush into it. She thought that she could have some more time to think about it and maybe just stay with Lou. But...no, it turned out that her trainer had not forgotten. She was both touched and hurt. "(Why didn't you tell me?)""My mom got sick, I need to go back." he explained, feeling that she was asking a question that he knew she'd demand. "But I don't want to pry you away from your dream, so I thought of passing you on to someone else." he glanced back at Avery and Daisy followed his gaze. He seemed like a decent person--the Chikorita didn't detect any sort of malice coming from him, but still, everything was happening so suddenly..! "I'm sorry, Daisy. I didn't know what to tell you. I guess it was selfish of me to assume that you want to leave us."The grass type was quiet, thinking. "(You went through all the trouble though, and you did fulfil my promise.)" she muttered, as painful as it was to admit. "(I...don't want to be mad. I'll go, and I'll show you what I can do. The next time you'll see me, I'll be on the big screens, okay?)" her tone progressively got more determined as she said those words, but she couldn't help but feel sad as well. Lou was glad that Daisy was willing to accept it instead of arguing. That would look bad in front of her new trainer, even if he knew that what he did was wrong. He let her jump out of his arms to examine the other guy more closely. "(Well, I guess I'll be with you from now on. Groom me at least thrice a day and we'll get along well.)" she said, even if she figured that he didn't understand her. "Thank you. I'll take good care of this Chimchar. I need to go catch my boat in a while." he then looked at Daisy. "Be good, you hear?"She playfully pouted, "(I've always been good!)"

Avery smiled and nodded quietly to answer Louis's question about him being a Coordinator, gently hefting the Chimchar a bit more to keep him comfortable as the little guy watched the two Trainers. Avery quietly chuckled as he heard the warm-hearted dream of the Chikorita he had for trade and nodded.
"I see. Well, me and my ever-growing little troupe would be more than happy to take her along..." It wouldn't be long before the Chikorita was let out of her ball for him to see. And what a lovely young Pokemon she was! Well-groomed, rather lively even for just waking up... and then, the Trainer picked her up to talk with her.
Avery stayed quiet as he listened to the two of them. This was always the hardest part. Avery remembered having to do something similar when he told his old party of Pokemon that he was going to start fresh in Stellara. Each of his old Coordinator Pokemon tried to cope with it in their own ways, but Avery knew it was hard. He didn't abandon them, they were safe at his home in Sinnoh, but he often called them up to let them know that he was doing okay and was thinking about them... this, this was a more personal moment between Trainer and Pokemon.
A fulfilled promise being kept by Trainer and Pokemon. Avery could certainly respect that. So, when the young Chikorita hopped down and greeted him, Avery knelt down and smiled warmly at her in return.
"Well, hello there, Miss Daisy. I hear you have a bit of a dream to perform on stage. I do hope me and my Pokemon friends can help you achieve that dream. But first, I need to give this little guy to his new Trainer. So, please wait just a little longer..." Now, it was Avery's turn with his newfound Chimchar friend.
"Hey now, little buddy. It's time for us to part ways, okay? This young Trainer will be your new partner..." The little Chimchar pouted, tears welling up as he hugged Avery's head a bit more, making the young Coordinator smile and chuckle a bit more.
"I know, I know... but you heard him. His Mama's very sick and he wants to help his Pokemon friend. And I'm gonna need you to be strong for me. You take good care of him and his Mama, okay? Can you do that for me? Can you be brave for your new friend?" The little Chimchar sniffled, nearly on the verge of tears before it gently nodded. It gave the Coordinator one more gentle hug before slowly reaching out his arms for Louis, hoping he would pick him up as Avery had done.

WITH EVERY BROKEN BONE, I SWEAR I LIVED Both Lou and Daisy noted that this guy sounded nice enough--gentle voice, and he seemed to care about his Pokemon lots as well. She was still hesitant in leaving Lou and his ragtag group, but she knew that she needed to get over that to be able to fulfill her dream. She...she knew she was destined for something great, and this was going to be the first real step! She did an understanding nod as she watched the Coordinator hand over the little Chimchar to her past trainer. The little guy looked like he was abandoned recently; he was frail and was already crying. Daisy knew that Lou would take good care of him just like he took good care of her. Lou did not hesitate to take the Chimchar to his arms when the little fire type stretched out. "Hey, it's okay...we'll be going somewhere new, and I'll introduce you to my team later." he spoke softly as he stroked him. "I think you'll like Violet City. Nice, quiet place." there was actually an earlier boat that he could take instead of waiting for tomorrow, and nearby he could hear a horn breaking through the bustling crowds of the pier. "That might be my boat." he muttered before facing Avery, "Thank you again for taking in Daisy. I look forward to seeing you succeed with her." Lou said with a smile. He then did a small bow before taking his things, making sure to keep Chimchar sitting comfortably in one of his arms. "May we meet again."
