MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME.
Nosepass wasn't discovered until he got to the building itself, to which a more knowledgeable staff member questioned why they were bringing a Nosepass into Arthur's personal quarters. The caretakers responded rather ignorantly, "Ma'am, this is a Easter Head statue." It prompted a laugh and then a quick internet search on a smartphone, which then led to dumbfound faces and a huge pang of shame. The jig was then up, and the Nosepass felt ultimately relieved that he could move more freely now, even if there was an imminent threat of getting thrown out. Since the eldest son of Wright Telecommunications decided to pay a hefty sum for him, though, they couldn't just do that. They decided to wait until he got home before passing judgment, but to add some fun, they didn't tell them their discovery.
When Arthur returned home from his trip, one of the staff approached him about the easter head statue he bought. Oh right, he had completely forgotten about it. When he got to his room, the Nosepass couldn't contain his excitement and somehow jumped on his trainer as soon as he opened the door. Because the boy was rather fragile, he spent the rest of the day nursing pain on his backside, having fallen onto the floor with a loud thump. Nosepass profusely apologised all the while, quickly learning that while the Growlithe mentioned he had Psychic Pokemon, he didn't think that he'd also be like them.
"(I'm really sorry again, Master!)"
Needless to say, Arthur was rather pissed and unimpressed. The following day clearly showed that this Pokemon was not for battle, and he felt foolish in wasting his money on a Pokemon. If it remained a statue, that was fine, but it wasn't, so it was now a pain. He briefly considered just donating the thing to his mother's reserve, yet he remembered another option that he had yet to try for himself. That was how he ended up in front of Mira's Trades, the Eridani branch. It looked bright and welcoming with a decent amount of trainers streaming in and out. He figured that most of them were just window shopping since they displayed rare Pokemon for trade as well. With Nosepass in tow (he'd been briefed about the whole thing, and while he was devastated, he also felt he couldn't blame him since he tricked him and all), they walked inside and Arthur requested an appraisal.
Lv 5 - Male - Magnet Pull - Tackle, Harden
Nosepass is a lonely Pokemon that got fed up with life in the caves, so he decided that he would take a bold risk and travel the world. Unfortunately, traveling is terribly slow as a Nosepass, so he resolved to get involved with humans in order to achieve his dream. Despite living in the caves, Nosepass' company is surprisingly well-versed with the outside world and so tends to use a contemporary style of speaking. While not knowledgeable about most things like human customs and whatnot, he is very eager to learn and will take anything and everything openly. Since his living space was not home to any predators, Nosepass doesn't know how to battle, even having trouble using Tackle because he can easily trip. Nevertheless, he tries his best and happens to be very loyal and friendly. He also is a great listener, though his expressions appear stoic most of the time. That might put other Pokemon off, though he means well.
