THE CHAMPION BADGE
JADE PALACE GYM
The structure utilized as a martial arts academy and fighting type gym was in fact originally a symbol of frivolity from a once upon a time rich foreign merchant. Built utilizing ancient Eastern techniques and architectural style, it was made as a Palace both in structure and size, and housed the merchant's progeny for generations.
Before they were all murdered and the place was nearly burned down to the ground in a bloody conflict centuries ago.
In relatively recent years, Hamal Town went through the troubles of restoring the palace as both a historical landmark and a touristic attraction. However, at some point during the reconstruction efforts, it was decided that it would become the home of the Fighting type Gym as well.
A little over a decade ago however, the new gym leader transformed the entire structure into a Martial Arts Academy as well, absorbing all the schools that dotted Hamal Town into itself and growing to massive size in the space of only a few years under the guidance of the gym Leader as grand master.
The Gym is the highest located structure within Hamal Town, having been built at the top of a steep hill. The locals jokingly refer to the stair climb required to get there as 'the hard part' of the challenge, and many martial artists, joggers, triathlonists and general fitness enthusiasts have made climbing up and down the hill a part of their daily regime.
No matter at which time of the day visitors enter into the gym, thousands of Students and masters alike can be found on the Jade Palace's courtyard, training arduously in order to master both their minds and their bodies.
Both humans and pokemon train within the hallowed grounds of the Jade Palace, seeking the unattainable perfection of their craft.
The Jade Palace is not jsut the battleground for those seeking to challenge the Fighting type Gym leader of Stellara. It has become a hallowed ground, to those seeking to master oneself.
In order to challenge the gym leader to battle, the challenger must find the Gym Leader, and Challenge them.
The Gym Leader should be somewhere within the Jade Palace. All the challenger has to do is identify the Gym Leader and challenge them to battle.
The Gym Leader is new, so their identity is known by few, if any. But surely it shouldn't be hard too locate the gym leader of a Fighting type gym. Right?
Right.
The gym Leader will Always start the Gym battle thread themselves. You challenge them through this thread here, and once they've accepted the challenge, they'll make the thread as soon as possible.
The battle takes place under the Gym's Temple like structure, in a large underground chamber that can only be accessed through a hidden passage. The chamber appears to be supported by rows of massive, finely engraved columns that appear to resist even the most powerful attacks. There is a single opening on the ceiling from which light of unknown origin projects into the chamber. It is otherwise illuminated by what appears to be luminescent stones etched over the walls, as well as a thousand candles lighted around a single, circular body of shallow water. A top of it, a golden, draconic statue reminiscent of a Kommo-O's head faces the surface of the water, with the single badge trapped in its maw.
