CALM BEFORE THE STORM
(I just want to say, this is all your fault.) The Fire Cat Pokemon said with feeling, shaking his body to get most of the water out of his fur, hissing at his damp pelt before he meticulously tried to get it dry and clean now that he was on moderately dry land.
"Don't nag at me..." Vincent muttered under his breath, sitting down on the bench and sighing deeply. "How was I suppose to know that the weather would change so suddenly?" Thunder rang in the background, and lightning light up the sky momentarily as the raindrops fell over the roof of the gazebo.
In hindsight, he should have expected it to be honest, as Baltis City and its surrounding area was common ground for notorious rainstorms and thunderstorms almost all the time.
He just wanted to grab some supplies from the Pokemart, perhaps even catch a Pokemon along the way, but not a cold or something because he was out in the rain for too long. Even with his raincoat jacket on and his umbrella, standing out there for too long wasn't good for your health.
'Mother made sure to put that lesson into my head many times when she caught me out training or looking for Pokemon while out in the rain whe I was a child...' Vincent reminiscened of times long past, sighing contently at the memories as he closed his eyes for a few moments. |

This Elekid is also keen to start rivalries on its own team, which may be good for training purposes, but might get tiresome quickly. Though he seems rude and aggressive on the outside, Elekid cares for his Trainer and teammates deep down and will put his life on the line for them. It’s possible for him to change, it’ll just take a lot of time and patience. |

CALM BEFORE THE STORM
(Huh?) Litten blinked twice as he heard what seemed like a weak groan coming from behind the gazebo, almost too soft to catch for normal human ears, not to mention the rain and thunder hanging in the background, but he caught it just the same. He jumped with the ease of a feline on the bench and then the edge of the gazebo and looked down, his eyes widening slightly as he spotted the bruised and drenched form of an Elekid laying on the muddy ground. (Vincent! Come quick!) Cinder looked back at his Trainer with an urgent gaze before looking back at the hurt Pokemon before him.
"What's up, Cinder?" Vincent asked, having noticed his partner's movements but didn't pay it much mind until he seemed to be looking at something outside of the pavilion. Standing up, he approached his Pokemon and looked down, eyes widening as he saw what got his Partner's attention. "That's an Elekid!" He stated the obvious, and that was when he spotted the bruises.
Not caring that this was a Wild Pokemon, he vaulted over the fence separating the wooden building from the outside world and gently cradled the Elekid in his arms, not even bothered by the mud and grass clinging to his clothes as a result as he sprinted back inside the building, laying the Elekid on the wooden floor and began to take out the health kit from his bag.
Soon enough, the Elekid was scrubbed clean from the dirt and muck covering him, while bandages covered the places where it was hurt the most. "There, that should do it." He even went as far as to use a Potion to speed up the healing process, so the Elekid should be fine now.
"Now if only the weather would calm down a little." Thunder was his answer, making him wince in aggravation. "Damn thunderstorm." They sat in silence for a few seconds, watching as the Elekid slowly seemed to come to, blinking his eyes open and looking around confusedly for a few seconds as he tried to regain its bearing.
He saw the Human and the Litten close by and spotted that he wasn't feeling as hurt as before, and came to the logical conclusion. Slowly, a malicious smirk twitched at the corner of his lips before it formed into a grateful grin. (Oh, were you the one who helped me?) He asked, looking at Vincent with wide innocent eyes.
Vincent couldn't really understand the Elekid all that well but he could get the gist of what it said by the look he was receiving. "Yeah, I helped you heal." He nodded to the side where Litten sat, the Fire Cat Pokemon watching the Elekid with a curious expression. "He found you, though, be grateful to him."
Litten puffed out his chest self-importantly, and the Elekid slowly got up and approached the Fire Cat Pokemon, extended a hand for a handshake. (Hey man, thanks for that! I really appreciate it.) Cinder lifted a paw to shake hands with the Elekid, completely missing the evil smirk crossing the Electric Pokemon's face.
In the next second, Litten gave out a yowl of indignation as he felt a current of electricity course through his body, his fur immediately frizzling out in all directions as the Elekid used Thundershock on him. "Cinder!" Vincent cried out in alarm, standing up as his Litten fell to the floor, twitching sporadically. "Why did you do that for?!" He glared at the Elekid, receiving a glare back in reply as the small Pokemon clenched its fist.
(Why? Why!? Because I never asked for your help! I'm not weak, and I don't need your pity!) Sparks jumped from the plug-looking horns adorning his head. (Take this!) Another Thundershock was discharged, and Vincent barely evaded in time. "Oi! Litten, snap out of it!" Cinder shook his head at hearing his partner's voice and sprung up with a threatening Growl, looking no worse for wear. "I don't know what your problem is. But if it is a battle you want, a battle you shall get! Cinder, use Body Slam!" The Fire Cat Pokemon took a pouncing stance before he lunged forward, striking the Elekid right across the face and sending him flying outside the gazebo.
It was still tired because of his injuries, even though he had been nursed back to working condition, he wasn's still in tip-top shape to fight. But would that mentality stop him? No Siree! (You little... Thundershock!) Electricity danced in the air, aimed at Litten who stood there as he waited for a command from his trainer. "Counter with Ember, Cinder!" Taking a deep breath, small pellets of fire shoot out of his mouth and collided with the electricity, creating a small explosion of smoke and dust that quickly enveloped the battlefield.
The Elekid snarled and looked around, trying to see through the thick fog but having no cigar. (Where are you, you little runt!) His answer came back quickly. "Use Body Slam again!" The Elekid tensed, ready to dodge if necessary, but since he couldn't see he didn't spot the Litten having walked until he stood behind him and paid the price as pain exploded across his face, sending him reeling forward towards the ground with a yelp of pain.
Seeing his chance, Vincent quickly unclipped a Pokeball from his belt and threw it at the downed Elekid, the capsule ball making contact and sucking the Pokemon inside. The Pokeball struggled and shook for a few moments before it finally calmed down with a small pinging noise that strangely sounded seething for some reason.
Picking up the Pokeball, Vincent stared at its shape for a few moments before sighing under his breath. "He's going to be a handful, isn't he?" All he received from Cinder was a disinterested snort, the Fire Cat Pokemon seemed to not care about the rain anymore now that he took out his frustration in the battle.

(("I don't like thiiiiiiis")) Tada called up to his trainer doing his best to scurry between Ti's legs as the two of them dashed through the rain using his trainer as a sort of makeshift cover from the rain, Ti groaned as hopping a bit as he ran every time he was nearly tripped by his tiny companion (("Ti can you carry me?? Just until we get somewhere dry??")) the Aron called up to him hopeful that Ti would agree "Tada you weigh about as much as I do there's no way I'm lugging you around" (("But I'll RUST")) "Then how about you go back in your ball, its dry in the ball" (("I dont LIKE the ball")) Tada whined earning a sigh from his trainer.
"Then keep ru-" Ti was cut off as his foot caught on Tada, while the average pokemon of Tada's size would likely have been chucked forward as Ti ran and perhaps caused Ti to stumble unfortunately as Ti had just said his companion weighed in at over a hundred pounds and so Tada felt a light thump on his backside quickly followed by his trainer tumbleing forward into the soaking wet ground.
(("Uh oh.. Ti are you ok?")) Tada asked squirming out from under his trainers leg and scurrying over to his now mud coated face "Just wonderful Tada..." Ti muttered with a groan wiping the muck from his face, and giving the Aron a pat on the head. A person tripping him up like that would never have gotten away without a series of infuriated insults, but Tada was a friend and Ti's first proper Pokemon, he'd dealt with others before but they had all been general family Pokemon, most of them belonging to his father.
(("Oh! I think I see a person! I'll go get help!")) and with that the little Aron scampered off in the direction of the Human he spotted eager to help Ti even if his trainer had no interest in help "No Tada thats not- and hes gone..." Ti said with a heavy sigh hefting himself to a sitting position grimmacing slightly at the pain in his foot from hitting into Tada.
(("Hey hey, can you and your trainer help me! My trainer fell and hurt himself!")) Tada said slowing his approach as he got closer to the Litten, he was a bit apprehensive about approaching a fire-type but since the fire cat clearly had a trainer and he was not wild it was PROBABLY safe enough, and the risk was worth the possibility of getting Ti the help he needed!
Meanwhile Ti had already gotten back to his feet and moved to pursue his wayward Aron with only a slight limp, unfortunately he arrived just after his companion made contact with the trainer, Ti let out a low groan before approaching "I'm fine Tada, it was just a fall." Ti said with a sigh stopping at his Aron's side "Sorry about him, hes a bit overeager." Ti said turning his attention onto the trainer.

Almost too soon for comfort, the duo was approached by what seemed like a wild Aron, but the Litten relaxed when it mentioned that it had a trainer with him and that they needed help. Seeing how his partner wasn't reacting with hostility, Vincent also relaxed his tense muscles. (Uh, my human can probably help your trainer, he's kinda like a Doctor?) Cinder mused, earning a raised brow from his Trainer. "I have some knowledge of first aid, Cinder. But I am not a Doctor." Right on cue, the Trainer of the Aron walked towards them, albeit slowly and with a limp in his steps.
"It's fine. It just goes to show that he cares about you." Vincent extended a hand for a handshake. "Name's Vincent Valentine, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Tilting his head to the side, the stern-faced trainer nodded at the man's leg. "Do you need help with that? I can probably give you something to alleviate the pain." |

(("Oh! Doctors are good, hes made of fragile stuff so he might need one of those.")) Tada said nodding enthusiastically, it was a bit difficult for the Steel type to comprehend that despite not being made of metal others were more than capable of taking a few bumps and bruises without needing immediet medical attention. Tada remained primarily focused on the Litten 'Cinder' rather than heeding the words of the Doctor.
"Yeah, he does, perhaps now that care will extend to not using me as an umbrella hmm?" Ti said casting a glance down at the Aron who simply looked up at his trainer with an expression that clearly showed he did not actually understand that he had played as much a role in Ti's injury as Ti had.
"Titanium, but I prefer Ti." Ti said briefly hesitating before extending his hand to accept the handshake, at least so far Vincent had not been particularly offensive so perhaps there was not a need to go in with shields up, even if his strong build DID remind Ti just a bit too much of his eldest brother.
The handshake would likely help determine just how long Ti stuck around, if it was one of those 'try your best to break the other guys hands' things then it was off into wilds. To Ti's surprise however the handshake was just that simple and friendly no testing each other.
"Er.. It's probably fine, I mostly just tripped over Tada it doesnt feel like anything too bad. It really probably wasn't ideal to push through this mess, I was hoping the rain might flush out something interesting but so far its really only managed to drive Tada nuts"
(("Water is bad for us Arons")) Tada said with a nod looking to Cinder expectantly, surely the fire type could understand the dangers of water?

CALM BEFORE THE STORM
(I don't know, dude. Your trainer seems to be made of some pretty rough stuff.) Cinder quipped almost sardonically, a deadpan stare being levelled at the Aron. Though his focus soon shifted to the two humans interacting with one another.
The handshake was firm and short, perhaps even friendly if you choose to look at it that way. Tilting his head to the side with a raised broTitaniumoung man blinked at Titatium with a curious expression. "Well, this kind of climate is ripe for Water or Electric Pokemon, as most are attracted by the rain and the static charge in the air." He tapped the Pokeball clipped on his belt that contained the form of the Elekid.
"I caught an Elekid just some moments ago after healing it... it showed his thankfulness in a strange way..." A bead of sweat trailed down the side, of his face, and beside him his Litten growled vehemently.
(We healed him and even made sure he wasn't hurt too bad and he throws that right in our face, the nerve of that guy.) He harrumped and looked to the side imperiously, licking a paw and rubbing it against his head. Though he quickly purred in contenment as Vincent rubbed the back of his neck with a firm hand. "He seemed to have taken quite the beating, perhaps whoever hurt him might not be too far away." The male deduced before giving a shrug of indiference, so long as the Pokemon that hurt him didn't try to hurt him or his Litten he didn't really care where it could be now. |

personality made by staffTitanium Pawniard is a warrior. He finds a master and is undyingly loyal to that master. However, the master must first prove his worth in battle. Pawniard fights as honorably as possible, showing great amounts of chivalry and restraint. He takes meticulous care of his hand-blades, which he uses to attack quickly and precisely. He is a formidable fighter, having spent long hours training with the other members of his colony. He is relentless in battle, refusing to stop until he has no energy left. Outside of battle, Pawniard is surprisingly kind. He will tend the wounds of those he defeats in battle and is surprisingly gentle with his hand-blades. He is a strong Pokemon to have on one's team. |

((“I guess, but he's not even got any metal on him to keep him safe! I keep trying to get him to buy stronger clothes at least.” Tada said with a shake of his head.
“Yeah, I figured a water type could be useful to my team, or that perhaps the rain would flush out something that isn't particularly fond of it. I mainly work with Steel types so having a water type to counter fire would be pretty ideal” Ti raised an eyebrow at how Vincent described his encounter and capture of his new Elekid. It appeared that he was not the only one that happened upon Pokemon with strong personalities.
As if on cue, as Vincent mentioned the likelihood that whatever had beaten the Elekid might still be around a Pawniard came scurrying into the area carrying some large leaves but ultimately halting as it noted the distinct lack of the Elekid and the presence of two humans with Pokemon. It had intended on providing a bit of aid to the Elekid but it appeared that either it had been captured or fled from the humans.
Ti broke his attention from Vincent at the Pawniard’s arrival raising an eyebrow at it, he had certainly not expected to find a Pawniard out in this storm but he was most certainly NOT going to pass up a chance like this “Not to be rude but I might need a few moments, If I’m lucky I believe I’ve found an excellent addition to my team.” Ti said tilting his head in the direction of the Pawniard who was still for the moment warily watching the trainers.
Many young Pokemon’s first instincts with trainers was to either attack first or flee, but Pawniard had an active interest in Humans, she knew to a vague extent that Pokemon with a Human often flourished in power if that Human was capable. Perhaps one of these Humans could be her key to becoming even greater, to give her a path in life other than simply hunting and surviving.
The more lanky human was the first to approach quickly followed by the Aron at his side, neither seemed overly fond of the rain not that Pawniard was fond of it herself “Hey there, I’m Ti and this is Tada” ((“Hi!”) “usually I’m the one that stumbles on a Pokemon, what brought you here?”
((“I returned to assist the Elekid, it was injured”)) Ti was surprised that the Pawniard was going out of its way to help a Pokemon it had beaten “Was he a friend of yours? I think he’s joined up with the big guy back there, he ended up helping him out” Ti explained earning a slightly relieved look from the Pawniard who then dropped the leaves she was carrying knowing she would no longer need them to aid the Elekid.
((“No, he was just an opponent. He was strong but brash, having a trainer may help him find calm”)) Ti raised an eyebrow again, it wasn’t often he heard a wild Pokemon speak quite so positively of capture, usually they were pretty neutral on the matter. “Well while you don't seem in need of calming you could probably work pretty well with me and my team. Plus we could find you a center to get you fixed up from your battle” Ti offered, the Pawniard looked to be mostly fine but had definitely not escaped her fight with the Elekid unscathed.
The Pawniard took a long few moments to look over Ti and Tada who had remained mostly quiet while Ti chatted with her simply giving friendly looks clearly a bit excited by the idea of a new friend. ((“Perhaps, if you show me you are strong enough.”)) Pawniard said taking a few steps back and brandishing her blades making her intent quite clear.
“Heh, alright then. Tada you ready?” Tada gave a quick nod and scurried in front of Ti his distaste for the rain at least briefly forgotten in the face of a battle! “Alright Tada lets start this off with a tackle!” Tada charged forward but before he could even properly gain any momentum the Pawniard was right there in front of him and swiped at him with a jab just a bit too quick for Tada to avoid.
“Whoa, Sucker Punch? Thats a good one. Keep going Tada you’ve got this” Tada recovered shaking himself off before leaping at the Pawniard smacking his head into her midsection to send her tumbling back. “Good job Tada, get ready for the big one” Tada nodded and braced himself digging his feet into the ground a bit to make sure he wouldn't slip on the next attack.
Pawniard returned to her feet the Aron hit rather hard and unfortunately she was not fully recovered from her last battle, still though she had no intention of simply letting herself be defeated! With that in mind she dashed forward closing the distance and swinging a couple of quick swiped at the Aron the last of wish was a fully powered Scratch!
Tada was NOT particularly excited about what was to come but considering how quick the Pawniard was and how slick the area around them was he was not likely to be able to properly avoid her attack, so instead he would do what any respectable Steel type would do in such a situation. Tank it! Tada braced himself and took the scratch just as he heard Ti’s order “Alright Tada, Head Smash!” Ti shouted, it was rather unfortunate that the most ideal move to use for the moment was actually one the Pawniard would resist, hopefully the tackle from before would be enough though.
Tada already quite prepared for this focused his power and lunged forward slamming his head right into the midsection of the Pawniard again, as he’d not moved to avoid her attack and just let the Pawniard move up to him they were close enough that the hit landed squarely knocking the wind out of her and sending her flying.
“Ah damn, that hit a bit harder than I expected” Ti said breaking from his position and moving over to the Pawniard once it became clear she was not immediately getting back up “Hey there, you alright?” ((“I think perhaps I would like to take your offer to help get me fixed up.”)) The Pawniard said shifting slowly to a sitting position. “Then you wanna join the team? I’ll help you out either way mind, it probably wasn’t great of me to go for a battle when you weren’t at 100 percent” ((“I made my choice, I wanted to see if you could be the one to make me strong. I think you will be”)) “Then lets get you caught and patched up” Ti retrieved a Pokeball from his belt and before he could decide the best way to catch Pawniard in her current state the steel type simply reached out and tapped the button herself. “Well, that works.”
