CALM BEFORE THE STORM
(Have you tried to convince him to buy some armor, perhaps?) Cinder quipped, earning a small flick on the ear for his trouble courtesy of Vincent's finger.
"Don't be mean now, Cinder." Vincent reproached the Fire Cat Pokemon, earning a roll of his eyes from Cinder as the cat was disinterested once more in the current conversation. "Thinking about how to cover up your weakness is a good asset to have as a Trainer. While is true that Fire is a primary weakness, there's also the Ground- and Fighting-Type to worry about..." After a bit of thinking, the stern looking male shrugged his shoulders. "Then again, a Pokemon can't be expected to counter everything thrown at it, it is how we adapt as Trainers that shows the bond with our Pokemon, the will to succeed against all odds, the determination that course through our veins that keep us pushing forward!..." As he continued his speech, Vincent seemed to get more riled up and passionate until he caught himself and trailed off before a faint dust of pink showed upon his cheek, the male looking to the side as he brushed the back of his neck.
"W-well, that is what my Father taught me while growing up." He shook his head though as he spotted what seemed like a Pawniard appear from the foliage and carrying leaves upon its handblades. While he couldn't understand the Pawniard, he could get a few bit and pieces of what it meant to do, and then there was Cinder ready to fill in the gaps.
He watched with an interested gaze as Titanium -or rather Ti as he preferred- battle the Dark/Steel-Type Pokemon. While it was clear the Pokemon wasn't one hundred percent in tip-top condition, it still put quite a good fight until the end. After it was over, Vincent patted Titanium on the back, slightly misjudging his strength as he did so but he didn't seem to notice as he grinned ferally at the young man.
"Nice catch, seems like we got lucky today even with the rain, eh?" Speaking of the rain, it still seemed to have no end in sight, but it wasn't as strong as before. "At least it seems to be calming down a little." He heard a huff beside him, and he didn't need to check to know that it came from Cinder.
(Not enough for my taste.) He retorted, earning an eyeroll from Vincent.
