Vincent an extrovert, preferring to let his emotions and actions speak for him than dream of what might be. While he can be social, he's more open to his Pokemon than some mere stranger he barely just met, as such he is able to understand what his Pokemon is saying, as the bond they nurtured and created allows him to connect with each other.

Logically, he isn't able to understand Pokemon that he hasn't bonded with, but he can infer what they're saying on a basic level, though sometimes there's an error in translation along the way, he makes do with what he gets.

He is someone that firmly believes in practical work than theory, as merely knowing the information about something can only carry you so far. It is that belief that he knows that even if a Pokemon is under a Type Disadvantage they are still able to come out on top with enough determination and force of will behind them. But the saying "Knowledge is Power" holds true in some regards, so he makes sure to be aware of what he's getting himself into before taking the plunge.

Which works nine times out of ten, once he gets his mind set on something it's almost a hassle trying to stop him to make him rethink his decision, but that's just a stepping stone for him to learn from his mistakes and get better next time when he tries again, as only by trial and error he believes that someone can evolve.

He's easily riled up when pressed or excited, and coupled with his bitchface it tends to push people away because they think he looks like a thug or something, which greatly depresses him... until he yells at them all to piss off as he continues on his way, earning baffled/scared looks along the way.


Born from the love of Gareth and Lydia Valentine, and oldest child of three. Growing up, it was clear that he took after his Father in almost all regards, from his appearance to even his tendency to lose his temper, yet if one cared to look they'd see that he shone with his Mother's nurturing hand when he took care of random injured Pokemon that stumbled upon their home, learning under him the basic of what it meant to be a Pokemon Breeder in the process.

As such, he's taken to going with his Mom on some impromptu field trips to learn more about Pokemon and how they interact with one another. Sometimes it was really dangerous, but sometimes it was peaceful outings. But there was one field trip that stood out clearly from the others. He and his Mother had been trying to track down a herd of Rhyhorn to study their migration patterns when he had felt something wrong in the air, the hair at the back of his neck standing up in alarm, and told his Mother to stop for a bit to rest, not willing to explain about his strange freak-out to her.

Not even ten minutes later, a small stampede of Rhyhorn moved past them at great speed, the rushing Pokemon not even stopping to regards the humans standing a few feet away. His Mother was shocked yet grateful at the coincidence of her son's request to rest, meanwhile, Vincent was eerily silent and offered no comment besides finishing the sandwich he was eating.

As he grew older and matured, Vincent already knew that he wanted to become a Trainer just like his Father and Mother were, but he didn't want to start his adventure in the Kanto Region where they lived nor did he want to do it when he was merely ten years old and not ready to face the world yet just like his younger siblings did, no, he wanted to start in a fresh place where not many people from his Region or otherwise had gone yet and with some knowledge and experience about the Pokemon World under his belt.

Understanding his son's plea, Gareth showed his son a brochure advertising the Stellara Region on his eighteen birthday, telling him that if he wanted to truly challenge himself that he should head there to begin his journey and as a birthday present, his Mother gave him a Pokemon Egg to take care of before he departed towards the Stellara Region. He wasn't bummed out that he wouldn't be able to start his journey until the egg hatched, in fact, he took that time to settle down in Rana Town after traveling for a few weeks, using his savings to buy an apartment and then get acquainted with what the Stellara Region had to offer.

Almost a year later, as Vincent used that time to learn how to become a Breeder while he was in town, his egg finally hatched into a kitten-like Pokemon with black and orange fur with yellow irises. It mewed cutely, saying Litten over and over. Thankfully he was in a town known for its repertoire of people knowing how to nurture and take care of Pokemon, with their knowledge alongside his hands-on approach, he managed to raise the Litten until it was old enough to finally learn how to battle and take care of itself.

Just in time too, as he turned eighteen years old years and finally started his journey alongside his partner.

PERSONALITY — Hotheaded at times and with a sarcastic streak a mile wide, this Litten will definitely make it know when you're breaching the boundaries of his comfort zone, and if you don't watch it he'd definitely make it aware by either Growling or Scratching at you from your transgressions, possibly both. That said, he likes to be pampered but not too much, as you don't come to him, HE comes to you for head pats and scratches under the chin. It takes time for him to open up to other people or Pokemon, but once he does you'll have a friendly companion by your side, so long as you can withstand his smug attitude as a cat, you'll get along fine with him.
