A Chance Meeting
The stern-faced looking young man looked around, an air of curiosity and interest crossing his features as he and his partner walked across the shore, admiring the beautiful scenery before them in silence. It didn't last for long, as his traveling partner perched itself against an outcropping bank and yawned. Vincent chuckled good naturally at his Pokemon's silent way of asking for a small rest, and dutifully made a small camp and began to prepare something to eat.
"I know, I know. You're tired, lazy cat." He derided without much heat, earning a disinterested flick of the ear from the Fire Cat Pokemon. With a snort, he continued his duty, soon enough having a small pot filled with stew, a delicious aroma emanating from it, no doubt also attracting the attention of Wild Pokemon nearby, but he didn't care as he was confident that between him and Cinder they could take care of them if they got too close.

“Pttthffewwww…” An exasperated stream of air danced along the lips of the young Researcher, flowing upwards to clash against the long strand of hair that draped over his forehead. His eyes watched as the tuft fluttered with the interference from his mouth while, very unenthusiastically, clutching a fishing rod in between his fingers. Meanwhile, the Land Shark Pokemon known as Crash, AKA a Gible, danced about on his side of the boat. He playfully gnawed on the end of his fishing rod, his sharp fangs easily shredding the stick to pieces in a matter of seconds. His teeth cut through the wood and plastic edges like a hot knife through butter, causing the end of the rod to look like it had been to hell and back.
If it wasn’t already evident by the scene laid out above, the duo had cast themselves out to the middle of Polaris Lake on a small rowboat in an attempt to catch some fish or Water-type Pokemon, to no avail whatsoever.
“What a slow day. The guy in Eridani said that this place was “hustling and bustling with all kinds of Water-type Pokemon!”, Tsch!” Locke mimicked the elder gentleman’s words with a mocking tone, eliciting a small fit of laughter from his partner. “The only thing hustling and bustling around here is the way you’re chewin’ up that fishing rod. We do have to return these, you know?”
At the mention of having to return the borrowed fishing rods, Crash’s face went blank. His jaw slowly opened, allowing the pole to clang against the bottom of the dinghy. Locke simply waved the now saddened young dragon off with the palm of his hand, offering his partner a gentle smile. “Bah, don’t worry about it, bud. We’ll just tell him we ran into a Gyarados or something, and that you valiantly fought it off to get the rod back. Sound good?”
Crash seemed to brighten up as he had expected a scolding from his trainer, however that was not the case. Just as a smile started to appear on his face listening to Locke speak, his eyes traveled upwards towards a large dark figure rising from the water behind the blond human. At first it looked like a fountain or geyser of some sort sprouting from the water’s surface. However, as the cascading H2O descended back to its home, it gave way to a dark and shadowy figure that spelled out the duo’s ultimate demise. Fear soon set into the Land Shark Pokemon, causing him to hurriedly scurry backwards until he hit the edge of the boat.
Locke had been too busy talking to notice the large monster creep up from behind them and only when Crash’s jaw dropped and he garbled a warning to his trainer did Locke actually register the situation they were in. A few droplets of water crashed into his lap, and the massive shadow that enveloped their boat wasn’t lost on the researcher. The terror finally settled upon the young man’s soul. It was like a scene out of a movie as he turned around to bear witness to the creature that was about to ruin their day.
He couldn’t make out exactly what it was as the cascading water works obscured its identity. All Locke could see was a dark shadowy figure and two… menacingly terrifying and ominous red eyes that pierced straight through his very soul. He had no clue what the fuck it was, and at this point he did not want to know. He wanted to get the hell out of here as quick as possible.
Just when it seemed like the monster would chomp, Locke turned his ass around, grabbed both of the oars and hauled ass. He rowed with the strength of a thousand men, putting his neck, his back, his arms and his crack into the action. Not a single motion ounce of strength was wasted on getting him and Crash the hell out of dodge. He didn’t even pay attention to what was in front of him, he was just booking it. Crash on the other hand, held on for dear life. He latched himself onto one of the wooden planks strewn across the boat to act as a seat and did not let go.
Locke didn’t even take the time to look back and check to see if the thing had been chasing him. It didn’t matter what was happening in reality. In Locke’s head, that monster was right on his ass jutting its teeth out like a half-brained Mudsdale in attempt to acquire some fresh booty meat. Unfortunately, both Locke and Crash were not on the menu.
Just when the edge of the lake seemed so close and Locke’s hopes and dreams in that very moment were coming true, his world came crumbling down. He could feel less resistance as his oars danced uselessly through the air, no longer being burdened with the weight of the plentiful water below. The treeline before him had just disappeared, seeming as if everything else had dropped off the face of the earth. All Locke had to do was peer over the edge of boat to realize that was not the case. Instead of everything else falling, he had been sent flying upwards.
He wasn’t very high in the air, maybe a good fifteen feet or so, but it was high enough for the boat to look like a soaring missile overhead. It was quite the freeing experience, feeling the cool breeze rush through his hair, free of the nagging fear that the creature trailing them would take a chunk out of their asses any second.
This respite, however, was short lived as the ground came back into view. Not only did the land enter his field of vision, but a small camp which, from the small glance he got, looked to be currently inhabited. Whoever was down there was in for a rude awakening as Locke’s boat basically nose-dived straight for it with him yelling out in the process:
“LOOK OOOOOOUUUUUUUTTTTTT!”

Level 50, Male, Torrent Agility, Crunch, Hydro Pump, Ice Fang, Chip Away, Scary Face Cannot be caughtThe water before the two teenagers rumbled and bubbled before a pair of bright yellow eyes poked above its surface, blinking before staring at the crashed boat and the startled humans. Then, the eyes moved closer before it became clear who the eyes belonged to: a massive and very angry Feraligatr. The reptilian beast lumbered onto land, stopping just a few feet short of the group. ( You damn humans and your stupid boats! ) the Feraligatr shouted. ( Every time I see any of you, you're nothing but trouble! Haven't you trashed the lake enough?! I can't swim two feet without running into your filthy human trash! ) To be fair, pollution had been a problem for Polaris Lake as of late, and efforts had already been taken to reduce and eliminate waste and litter in and around Polaris Lake. However, Feraligatr wasn't having any of it. Humans had done nothing but bring him and the rest of Polaris Lake's Pokemon a whole bunch of unnecessary trouble. Oh, but that was going to stop today, and Feraligatr was going to be the one to make sure of it. ( I think I'm going to need to make you two an example, ) the Feraligatr mused. ( If I trash you punks, then perhaps the other humans will get a clue about what happens to those who disrespect our home! ) Then, the water-type snapped his enormous jaws threateningly, sharp, white teeth glinting in the afternoon sun. ( So, let's see if you're as good at fighting as you are fucking up this lake! )FERALIGATR WANTS TO FIGHT AND HE IS NOT TAKING NO FOR AN ANSWER!

A Chance Meeting
Vincent was just done cleaning his kitchen utensils and packing it away when he heard it, the cry of some sort of dying Walrein sounding from way up high. Looking up, both Trainer and Pokemon paled at the sight of a boat sky-diving over their location!
With haste, they spread out, wincing at the crash of wood on the floor as splinters flew everywhere, and so did his rage. "What the hell are you doing, you idiot!" Vincent snarled, his stern face looking murderous as he shook a clenched fist at the young man and his Pokemon. "You could have killed us!" He went on, only to fall silent as Cinder growled threateningly at the rising waters from the shores.
Soon enough, Vincent was looking up at the scary visage of an enraged Feraligtor, and while he couldn't really understand what he was saying, he got the gist of it pretty quickly when it clenched its fangs shut. They had invaded its territory and now they were gonna pay the price.
"What did you do to make it so mad!?" Vincent questioned as he looked at the newcomer and his Pokemon with a glare.
Cinder growled at the Feraligtor, not liking that this brute was comparing his trainer with all the other Humans. (Hey! Just because some humans have polluted the lake doesn't mean you can go around bullying others!) The Fire Cat Pokemon looked like he was ready to pounce, the fact that he was at a severe disadvantage notwithstanding, yet he was still shaking slightly with fear as he could feel how strong this Feraligtor was. (Your plan won't work, anyway! If you anger the humans you'll just endanger yourself and your home! They won't take it nice that you hurt one of their own just because you had a hissy fit!) Level 50, Male, Torrent Agility, Crunch, Hydro Pump, Ice Fang, Chip Away, Scary Face CANNOT BE CAUGHTThe Feraligatr glared at the Litten mouthing it up. ( Shut up! The humans can as angry as they want; they'll finally have a taste of our own rage for a change! ) The blue gator took a threatening step forward. ( And since you are so quick to talk down to me, I'll just have to take care of you first! ) Water surged from deep within the Feraligatr's gut. It flowed up through his chest and to his throat before bubbling in his mouth. Then, he opened his mouth, aiming to blast Cinder to smithereens with an anger-fueled Hydro Pump. But then there was a blur. Something burst out of the surrounding area and rammed right into the Feraligatr. The water-type let out a startled scream, and the Hydro Pump intended for Cinder fired completely off target. It rocketed through the woods, snapping the tops of trees completely in half and sending brief shockwaves cascading outward. The Feraligatr fell on his side, yellow eyes blinking in stunned confusion. ( Who the hell did that?! ) he yelled frantically. Vincent and Cinder would be the first ones to discover the newest arrival. It was a Sceptile, one that was about an inch or so taller than the already massive Vincent. He gazed at the downed Feraligatr and rolled his eyes. ( Are you back at it with this whole revenge scheme? ) he asked. ( Yeah! What of it?! ) the Feraligatr spat. ( I thought I told you to stay out of this! )( This vendetta you have is really dumb, ) the Sceptile said, scratching at his neck idly. ( It is not dumb! I am saving the environment and our home! ) the Feraligatr retorted. ( You have a good idea. You're just doing it in the stupidest way possible, ) the grass-type said bluntly. ( Fuck you! Now, let me take care of these intruders! )The Sceptile moved in front of Vincent and beside Cinder; he then brandished the blade-like leaves on his arms defensively. ( Oh? So, you want to fight too?! You do know I'm stronger, Sceptile! ) the Feraligatr boasted. ( Doesn't matter, ) the Sceptile replied before turning to Vincent and Cinder. ( While humans can be annoying, you don't seem too bad. Just don't make me regret helping you out. I'll work with you, but you should let me do most of the work. ) The Feraligatr roared impatiently. ( Enough talk! ) Then, he lunged forward, scale-plated fist rising to slug Sceptile right in the face. The Sceptile bared his fangs before parrying the blow with his energy-surged arm-leaves. It was time to fight. Level 40, Male, Overgrow Fury Cutter, Leaf Storm, Night Slash, Agility, Leaf Blade, Quick Attack CANNOT BE CAUGHTFERALIGATR WANTS TO FIGHT! SCEPTILE HAS COME TO HELP YOU OUT! A Chance Meeting
The Fire Cat Pokemon tensed as the Feraligtor looked ready to unleash his most powerful Water Move upon him, the small cat literally almost stopped breathing as that beam of water zeroed in his direction, only to blink twice as it suddenly swerved erratically and instead of hitting it, the beam of water cleaved cleanly through many trees in its path, raising great clouds of dust in the air for a few moments.
Cinder breathed a sigh of relief, feeling like he had run a marathon as most of the adrenaline left his system after his life stopped flashing before his eyes. (Holy shit.) He said, with feeling as Vincent watched what was unfolding in front of him. So they had an ally in this battle now? It just so happened that it was a Pokemon with Type Advantage as well, which was lucky for their part but depending on certain circumstances it wouldn't be that much of a game changer if the other powerful Pokemon took him out first.
"Understood, I'll be sure to give you some backup," Vincent said, looking down at his Pokemon and saw the determination shining in his eyes, slightly clouded by fear and uncertainty for a few moments. "Think you can help him, Cinder?" Shaking his small head to clear it, the Fire Cat Pokemon nodded. (Y-Yeah, I can do it no problem!)
Together, both Human and Pokemon would watch the battle unfold, making sure to stand back and not get in the way of the two titans in from of them. Once it seemed like there was an opening to act, Vincent would take it with a cry of, "Body Slam!" Ordering his Litten to lunge and strike against something soft and vulnerable on the Feraligtor's body so it would feel it instead of striking any hard surface.
Almost immediately, should it work or not, Cinder would dart out of the way of fire in the case of any retaliation coming his way.

Level 50, Male, Torrent Agility, Crunch, Hydro Pump, Ice Fang, Chip Away, Scary Face CANNOT BE CAUGHTThe two fully-evolved Pokemon traded blows with each other, each one carrying a tremendous amount of force behind them. It was awe-inspiring and terrifying watching the two fight; for Vincent and Cinder, it was a display of what kinds of Pokemon were awaiting them as they both became more experienced and stronger. It was no longer simple Tackles or Embers; no, both Feraligatr and Sceptile had the power to cause all sorts of damage, and the fact that Cinder was barreling right towards the very beast that could tear him apart without a second thought made Sceptile widen his eyes in disbelief. The little cat "body slammed" into the Feraligatr's head, causing the Feraligatr's head to jolt a little to the side. The water-type sputtered in confusion. ( Who threw that at me?! ) he shouted, just in time for the Sceptile to slash him across the chest with a well-placed Leaf Blade. The Sceptile's elongated, arm-leaves sliced into the Feraligatr's scaly hide, and the water-type let out a roar of pain and anger. He stumbled backwards, clawed hands gingerly tapping at the clean cut on his chest. ( Damn you! ) Feraligatr screamed, yellow eyes glaring angrily at Cinder and Sceptile. With that, the Feraligatr suddenly lunged right at Cinder, armor-plated hand curling into a tight fist. He then swung downward at the Litten, hoping to flatten him with a blow. Sceptile growled and tried to reach Feraligatr in time to intercept the blow, but he was too slow; even something like Agility wouldn't have helped him any. ( Watch out! ) the grass-type warned. He was sort of hoping that the Litten would instead attack from range rather than getting all up in the Feraligatr's grill, but he supposed that he was only following his trainer's orders. ... His trainer should've known better. Sceptile could only hope that the poor Litten wouldn't get straight-up pancaked as a result. A Chance Meeting
Litten knew that the moment he connected with the enormous head of the Feraligtor, that the next moments would bode poorly for it. At least his impulsiveness helped to open the Water-Type's guard for Sceptile to deliver a powerful and not to mention super-effective Leaf Blade across the male's chest.
He looked up at the large Water-Type, eyes widening as he saw that great fist aimed right at him, his body locking up in fear and surprise, the Fire Cat Pokemon unable to dodge something quite that fast. Thankfully, he had someone to help him there. "Cinder, return!" Acting fast, Vincent took out the Pokeball keyed to Cinder's signature, the red beam of energy was admittedly faster than the large Feraligtor, touching the Fire-Type's fur and transforming it into energy that was quickly sucked inside the Pokeball, just in time too as that fist slammed against the floor with all the force of a tsunami crashing on the shores.
Just as quickly, Vincent called Cinder out again by his side, the Fire-Type appearing no worse for wear besides how his fur was standing on end at the scare he just received just then. ( Okay, next time, we attack from a distance. ) Cinder spoke as he aimed a glare aimed at his Trainer, the tall human having the decency to at least look contrite. "Right, my bad."

Level 50, Male, Torrent Agility, Crunch, Hydro Pump, Ice Fang, Chip Away, Scary Face CANNOT BE CAUGHTIf Vincent hadn’t recalled Cinder in time, Cinder would have been a flat, bloody pancake. Feraligatr’s fist slammed into the ground, making a fist-sized crater on impact. He snarled when he realized he missed; he wanted to pulverize that mouthy, little Litten. ( Coward! ) Feraligatr yelled at Vincent, leering at him with bright yellow eyes. Sceptile visibly sighed with relief; he was glad that Cinder didn’t get splattered. ( You both really need to be more careful because you probably won’t get a chance to do that again, ) Sceptile told Vincent. When Cinder was released from his Pokeball, he was rightfully pissed at Vincent for tossing him into close-range with a massive, powerful Pokemon that could easily destroy him with a single hit. Sceptile grunted at Vincent. ( Stop trying to kill your friend, ) the grass-type said, reassuming his combat stance. ( Just let me handle most of the fighting. Stay at range. Don’t get close. ) Sceptile didn’t want to be rude, but Cinder’s effectiveness against Feraligatr was severely limited. He wouldn’t say that Vincent and Cinder were entirely useless, but they were pretty close. Feraligatr was starting to get annoyed. He should have already defeated both of the two weaklings who dared tried to stand up against him. Psychic-type energy surged through the crocodile’s body. It increased his speed and agility, making him even deadlier than before. ( Fools! No matter what strategy you have, you will never defeat me! ) Suddenly, Feraligatr charged. He moved with a quickness that even caught Sceptile off-guard. Ice swirled in the Feraligatr’s mouth. He then opened his mouth and sent several jagged beams of ice from his fangs. They pierced into Sceptile, forcing the grass-type back. ( Eurgh! ) It was a powerful attack, a super-effective one no less. As Sceptile tried to recover, he noticed ice spreading all throughout his body. Worry settled in his eyes. He was becoming frozen. ( Hahaha! Do you like that?! ) Feraligatr taunted. ( Hope you like being an ice block! ) Sceptile growled; there was really nothing that he could do to prevent himself from becoming entirely frozen, but perhaps Vincent and Cinder had something in mind. Surely enough, after a couple of seconds, Sceptile’s entire form became encased in a solid block of ice. Feraligatr then set his attention onto Cinder and Vincent. ( Now, I can deal with you two without him interfering! ) Level 40, Male, Overgrow Fury Cutter, Leaf Storm, Night Slash, Agility, Leaf Blade, Quick Attack CANNOT BE CAUGHT OOC: Feraligatr used Agility to boost up his speed and then used Ice Fang on Sceptile. Sceptile got hit and is now FROZEN! Vincent Valentine
