[X] Doug's feet tapped the floor in impatience as the Salandit finally engaged his Scyther, feeling like maybe they were wasting their time with these two. This fight had run its course as far as usefulness went, he felt. What was the point of watching two wild pokemon duke it out? None, really. He supposed it was good exercise for Scyther, but she wouldn't start listening to him if every time she just did her thing it worked out wonderfully for her. He yawned as he fiddled with his pokedex lazily, seeing if there was something else to the machine. There wasn't, but he hadn't downloaded any entertainment apps for his PokeNav, so he was out of luck in that regard. "Bit late, ass." Grunted Doug without looking away from his cellphone-Dex as his friend's rather useless warnings were suddenly thrown at the Salandit. Scyther wasn't nearly as distracted as both of the trainers appeared to be; bit hard to be distracted when someone was throwing fire at you. It hissed as it crossed both of its scythes in front of itself, its wings beating rapidly to swiftly put some distance between itself and the other pokemon. Mild burning damage had been left in the wake of the other pokemon's ember, drawing a pained growl out of the Scyther's lips. Her wings began beating faster as she crossed her scythes in front of her, narrowing her eyes at the other pokemon before- Suddenly she blasted off towards the Salandit, closing the distance in nearly the blink of an eye to try and bodily slam into her.
Scyther is using Quick Attack.

Dokuro was giving the final touches to his research paper, finally remembering he was in the middle of a pokemon battle and should pay more attention to it, even though both pokemon didn't seem to be listening to their trainers. But now that all his attention was back on track, it was time to develop a strategy to win this battle.
"Salandit, keep up the pressure with more Embers! Make sure to avoi---"
Just as Dokuro was about to give this command, Douglas' Scyther counter attacked Salandit at a blindingly speed. The force behind this attack was such, it sent Salandit flying back, falling even further away from where Dokuro and Mareanie were standing. The result, Salandit had fainted.
"Salandit!" Dokuro rushed to her side, holding her in his hands. "This is why you should listen more, Salandit. I'm gonna have to train you properly, but for now, you gotta rest." Dokuro recalled Salandit back to her pokeball, he was going to need to take her to a pokemon center soon enough.
"Well Douglas, it is regrettable, but I lost my first pokemon battle. But I guess is time I finished my research in here. I'll take you on that finding more pokemon suggestion though."

Battle Finished. Well, Doug could only be glad that was done and over with. Crossing his arms over his chest, the boy sighed as he approached his pokemon, the Scyther still standing where she had last rammed into the other pokemon, panting and and trying to catch her breath after the confrontation. Patting at his strawh at for any possible dust it may have gathered after he threw himself out of the Salandit's way, the boy placed it on his head before moving to stand besides the Scyther, looking at it with a tilted brow. "Well?" He asked while moving both hands to his jacket's pockets, leaning his weight onto one of his legs casually. The Scyther side-eyed him from where she stood, still panting but otherwise not offering him any response. Not that it would have mattered; Doug didn't speak Pokemon gibberish. "Not what you were hoping for, I take it?" Guessed the boy after giving her a once over, noting that she didn't seem all that pleased either. She was likely used to winning by now, what with being a survivor and all. As far as he could tell, she looked mildly disappointed with how smoothly everything went. Or perhaps she just wished her opponent had been more focused on the fight than on stealing his hat? "Guess that one's on me." He commented, drawing a curious look from the pokemon. "I'll find you a stronger opponent next time." Was all he said before he walked past her, leaving her to look at him with an unreadable expression. Doug for his part took to examining the damage their impromptu battle had accidentally caused to the farm. The Vacuum wave his Scyther had used earlier had seriously damaged the fences of the farm, and the poisonous gas Dokuro's Salandit had spewed all over the place had slayed more than a few future crops. Luckily they hadn't been planted too long ago. Unluckily, it would still set back the farmer quite a bit. Doug could only sigh. "Ugh, this'll come straight outta my pay." If he didn't just get kicked out outright and made to pay for the damage that is. As always, Dokuro was casual and somewhat graceful in defeat, leaving an annoyed Douglas in his wake. "Yeah yeah. Before any of that though. Let me go check in with the owner of the ranch. I think this fight may have been a mistake."
Mistake indeed. He had been made to pay for the damage done. Then he had been promptly fired. What a great way to start his day. Now he roamed the town with his friend and Scyther in tow, sulking as he looked around the place for some manner of work. He needed to make back all the cash he had lost. He had made cash before in this town... How had it been again? "The notice board..." Muttered the boy scratching his chin, before beginning to make a beeline for the board at the center of town, trusting his pokemon and friend to follow along. Though Scyther didn't care for anything he had to say in battle, it rarely left his side when out of its pokeball. It didn't even try to antagonize him, which was more than he could say for some other members of his team. He still hadn't figured out entirely just what her deal was. Battle Finished.

The battle caused more damage to innocent plants than Dokuro wanted. Well, it caused damage, which is something he definitely didn't want; but he could not disagree that at least this could prove to him this is definitely not the kind of poison that should be used in pest control for the props. But still, he wondered if he could take a sample from one of those dead plants to analyze better the effects of the poison on them. That thought faded as he saw how his friend got fired after that outcome. Better to not talk about that anymore.
He decided to just follow his friend around town for a bit as he had already been there for a while and knew the place better. It was certainly a different feel to this town than to Shaula. It really had that rural feeling to it. You could even smell very strongly the plants around it, that was sadly bathed by the stench of manure. This is both the reason Dokuro liked doing research on the field, and also the reason he liked doing research in more comfortable places.
"Well, this is a nice town and it was nice meeting you after a long time. I'll be on my way now, gotta continue my research"

Holla holla git doller. What?
"Where do you think you are going?" Asked the bug catcher to the other boy bluntly, ripping an ad off the notice board before turning on his heel to face Dokuro. "Do you know how much money I lost back there?" He asked the other boy rhetorically, narrowing his eyes. "The fence got me fired. The crops your damn poison killed cost me cash. " He informed the other boy, before jabbing his finger into his chest. " You are coming with me." He said, leaving no room for argument as he held up a piece of paper. On it, a request for assistance in acquiring some sort of plant was written. Said plant could apparently only be acquired on Tucana Rainforest, however, which resided on the southern part of Stellara. Or, to be more clear, on the entirely opposite side of where they stood currently. Bit of a trip to make, actually. "You wanted to go check out rare pokemon? Well, good! We are going to the Rainforest. You'll get your fill of poison types while helping me get back my money!"

Woops. It seemed that Dokuro's plan to continue his research was going to come to a stop. His friend was clearly angry about the outcome of the battle.
"Sigh..." Is not like Dokuro didn't feel sorry about it, but he always held his research above all else. This was just going to put a big delay on it, even though he had to do this for his friend. "Alright, I'll do it then... There better be something interesting there..."
Dokuro took a look at the request paper. A plant that only grows in the Tucana Forest? A light of interest sparkled on Dokuro's eyes. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea in the end; such a rare specimen would make for a really good research, and he could always learn some stuff from this Dr. Logan, the person who posted the request.
"Let's go, what are you waiting for?" Dokuro set forth to the Tucana Forest, suddenly being really motivated for it, even leaving out a small, barely audible chuckle by thinking of this rare plant. Maybe he could get some for his own too, or even study it together with the doctor. "Oh, right, wonder where this Forest is at?" Opening his map, he starts looking for... "Oh for the love of... DOUGLAS!"
It was going to be a long trip to the Forest, all the way in the opposite side of the region, and there was no way for Dokuro to back out of it now.

Holla holla git doller.
"I don't wanna hear it." Was all the boy said, cracking his knuckles as he reached into his pockets and pulled out his Pokenav, opening up its map. He knew they were in for quite a walk, but he wasn't a compass; hell if he knew which direction was north and which was south. "There will be, it's the friggin' Rainforest. Not like you can be picky; you ain't exactly packed with pokemon." He hoped his friend was lacking pokemon because he hadn't been travelling much and not because he refused to catch anything that didn't meet his standards. That would take quite a while to fix if so. He grinned as his friend called him. "Thought you didn't wanna come?" He said as she started running towards him, watching him reach for his map. Immediately, he broke into a sprint, passing by the other boy just as he got a good look at how far they were travelling. "Sorry not sorry!" He shouted over his shoulder, running at top speed just in case his friend decided to put a foot in his butt. [EXIT THREAD]

Good work, guys.
20 EXP to each of you, as well as 10 PD.
Both Pokemon that participated in the battle grew 2 levels, as well! Be sure to update that in your PC.
