INDIANA DOUG
Client: Archaeologist Henry
Objective: Escort Archaeologist Henry through Helos Ruins.
Location: Helos Ruins
Difficulty: ★★★
Reward: 20 PD [/ul]
He really should have been trying to focus on his goal of defeating the gym challenge. Unfortunately, traveling around Stellara, and indeed, training pokemon, was not a cheap task, even when you were walking or cycling everywhere yourself.
As such, it was rather often that he found himself taking on odd jobs or strange little challenges just for the sake of making some much needed cash.
One such odd job was this escort mission.
Tasked with accompanying a young Archaeologist into Helos Ruins and seeing to it that he safely made it out of there, Doug was not particularly phased by his mission. He knew what he was doing; some wild pokemon living inside dumpy old ruins wouldn't stand a chance against his team, he was sure.
"So what exactly are we looking for, Doc?" Asked the boy with his hands both in his pockets as he stood besides the Archaeologist at the ruins' entrance, Joltik resting on his head lazily.
The Archaeologist , something of a young man that hadn't quite hit his 30 years old yet, smiled as he typed away at a wrist mounted device.
"I'm glad you asked, Mr. Freeman." He said politely, pulling his face away from his device. Doug simply tilted an eyebrow in response, not at all used to being referred to that way. Even his father wasn't usually spoken to like that.
"You see, these ruins are all that remains of one of Stellara's most ancient civilizations. Their culture, their livelihood, their way of life. Everything is etched within the walls of these magnificent, ancient structures, records left for the future generations to learn from both their successes and their failures." The young archaeologist reached up to readjust his glasses suddenly, a smile on his lips.
"It is my job, nay, my duty, to see to it that these information they left for us reaches this generation."
"And it's my job to make sure you get to do this." Stated the boy as he stepped forward, his pokemon twitching on his head but otherwise not doing much else.
"Precisely. Now, lead the way, Mr. Freeman. I leave my safety in your surely capable hands." There was no sarcasm to be found in either his voice or his body language, surprisingly enough.
"Haha... Oh boy." Hopefully, he would be able to meet these sudden, high expectations... Oh, who was he kidding? He was going to rock 'em. "Well, follow me."
