White powder fluttered down from above Nair City on a mildly frigid afternoon, creating a thin layer of snow on the ground that very quickly littered the streets with the grimiest slush due to the plethora of citizens that trampled about. The albino gangster nonchalantly sifted his way through the town, baring little thought to deciding on what route to chose at every fork, nor did he pay any attention to the many confused glances from the townsfolk, who were intimidated by his maleficent attire, but were more so perplexed by his unsubtle, revealing clothing and negligence towards the weather. They wondered, did he possess some kind of supernatural immunity to the cold, or was he just that stubborn of a guy?

He traveled aimlessly, but truthfully he had come to the mountainous city as per order of Team Crux, instructed to assist the organization’s scientists in the city with investigating mysterious portals that were said to be popping up all throughout the Stellara region. Unfortunately, his commanding officer refused to allow him to travel by himself, and due to their previous mission achievements as a team, Zetsumei was forced to bring the pink-haired gremlin known as Lori Tsuka alongside him. Though she wasn’t aggravating all the time, she was enough of a nuisance that he preferred to just not to deal with her period.

Technology is a marvelous thing however, and thanks to a pair of shnazzy communication ear pieces gifted to them by the Nair City’s Team Crux research division, Zetsumei and Lori were able to maintain their distance from one another, but still be connected, to both each other and the research division, who remained at the hideout and were utilizing advanced technology to monitor for unexpected spatial disturbances. “Sheesh… you find anything yet, kid?”, he transmitted through the device to his teenage counterpart, his impatience growing as he continued to patrol the streets with nothing exciting yet to happen.

Zetsumei disdain for her would normally cause him to not care about Lori’s whereabouts, but in this case, it was pretty important, since something could suddenly materialize any second. Just as he let out a strained yawn, Zetsumei and Luna, who followed closely behind him, were caught off-guard by random spurts of people that seemed to be running hysterically from a specific direction. “Kokuseki, Tsuka; there appears to be something happening just around the corner from you...”, the voice said over the comms, but already briskly marching to the destination, Zetsumei responded with a gleeful expression.
