HOLY SH*T
There are some things one just cannot prepare for. One such thing, for example, would be to find
exactly what you are looking for after great disappointment.
Currently, Douglas was going
exactly through that.
"
Holy SHIT!"
Screamed the boy in amazement as his eyes zoomed in on multiple tiny figures sitting just by the lake's shore, surrounded by multiple rocks.
That was a mistake.
Almost immediately, the tiny figures seemed to jump and begin panicking, all of them scampering around the rocky shore swiftly. Screaming in panic himself, the boy broke into a sprint towards, leaping for one of them just in time to face plant onto a boulder as it went inside the nest dug almost directly underneath it.
He was swift to recover though, pushing away from the boulder before leaping at yet another of the scurrying pokemon. This one managed to dodge him as well, leaping into its nest before the boy could so much as touch him.
Those two were the only ones the boy got even close to. Before long, the boy found himself standing alone in the rocky shore, surrounding by boulders and hiding Wimpods, but not much else. He panted, his lip curled down as he looked around.
"It's gonna be like that, huh?" He asked through pants, narrowing his eyes. "W- well... Whatever!" He shouted as he began to walk backwards. "That's fine, it's cool. I didn't even want one of you wimps anywa-
Woah!" He fell on his ass as his feet stumbled onto a solid, Wimpod-shaped pebble.
Wait a minute.
The boy and the Wimpod-shaped pebble that wasn't actually a pebble stared at one another in silence for a good few seconds, the boy in surprise, the Wimpod in mild amusement.
Blinking at the small bug, Doug moved his arms over his knees, cocking his head at the small thing. The pokemon mimicked him.
How... unsual.
Reaching into his pocket, Doug produced his PokeDex, scanning the small pokemon for its information. The machine gave him nothing he hadn't known before.
The behavior the Wimpod was showing in front of him was most bizarre for its kind.
"Well aren't you a unique little guy." Commented the child as he lifted an arm towards it. It did not make any visible reaction towards his arm, instead wiggling in place contentedly as if appreciating the comment.
"Most unique." He mumbled. "What do you think?" He asked his Joltik suddenly, the spider suddenly crowling out of his jacket. It burped soundly, having eating every single piece of the apple from before.
Doug snorted.
"Charming." He said as he reached for the little Joltik, plucking it off his shoulder before slowly placing it in front of the Wimpod. Once again, it showed no overreaction to the situation at hand, blinking at the little spider curiously.
For his part, Joltik was disinterested in the Wimpod, simply looking up at its trainer. The boy cleared his throat, looking at the Wimpod meaningfully before giving the Joltik a firm look. It didn't react at all.
Sighing in annoyance, the boy reached into his bag and produced an apple, tearing it in half. "Fine, but you'll have to share it."
The Joltik looked affronted for once, not quite refusing the meal but giving its trainer a testy look, munching on the apple while maintaining eye contact. The boy gave it a sardonic grin.
"Be nice. We are trying to make friends here." Drawled the boy, his spider narrowing its four eyes at him.
Behind them, the tiny Wimpod chortled, prompting Doug to join. Joltik twitched in irritation instead, jumping its trainer suddenly and crawling underneath his shirt, using its fur to tickle him all over.
The boy cried out in shock, before he swiftly found himself trying to choke back laughter. The Wimpod blinked at the interaction, before not so reluctantly latching onto and crawling up the boy's pant leg.
"N- not you too! Hehe-h- G- guys, come on, Stop, s- stop... GUYS!"
Wimpod
Level 4
gender, Male
Ability, wimp out
MoveSet,
Personality,
A Wimpod differing from its peers in its extremely relaxed nature. Where others are prone panicking and fleeing swiftly, he's slower to react to apparent danger, taking a more 'wait and see' approach to dealing with unexpected situations and circumstances. However, because it does not immediately shy from anything it does not know, it is prone to getting caught in situations and circumstances the average Wimpod wouldn't. The only time it's natural instinct to 'Wimp Out' kicks in is when it is directly harmed. As it is relaxed and passive, it is of a very docile nature when interacted with and represents little threat. It is playful and finds Doug and his antics amusing, which is the reason it has latched onto him.
