SHARP AS STEEL. STOP FOR NO MAN. YOU'D BETTER BEG AND KNEEL. After a little while and that one incident with that person, Raoul was ready to give the mansion another time. This time he was doing it properly at night, though he still didn't have any back-up with him. Mostly because the only back-up that would be willing in his current small circle of friends is not in this region but was probably doing their own thing in Johto. The others would balk and run away if he mentioned going into one of these again after the last time they entered one with the mass of Gastlies and the stray Phantump child and the ghost grandfather that made the request.
So with flashlight equipped and his aura senses on high alert, he went through the front door again. A front door that was more easily opened than the last time than he had come here. Actually... he smelled oil on the hinges now that he thought about it.
Someone had been here since he was gone. Not that it was a surprise - the house seemed like a popular destination for the occult-oriented thrill seekers, but for them to have greased the hinges...? There was something else going on here.
Something else that he couldn't quite pin on. He hoped it wasn't another goddamned lab - he had enough of those secret underground ones in Kalos. So who was here...? He felt at least one living aura signature now that he was in the dusty old foyer, but who...?

forever - me Hotdog | Male lv5 Early Bird | Ember, Leer, Howl, Thunder Fang |
Hotdog gnawed on the peace of jerky, chewing, licking, and even playing with the food. He would have liked more, but his trainer said that they were going to cook sometime soon. So he'll have to settle with just a small piece of jerky. The Pokemon looked up at his trainer as he did so, to an inexperienced eye it would appear as though he was glaring, but it was more of a sign of begging for affection. Thankfully his trainer understood, reaching over and petting him on his head before a nice gentle rub under the chin.
"This place is perfect some inspirations," Cecile commented, sitting on a rickety old chair she had dragged to the entrance from another room. It might seem odd for a lone woman to be sitting on a chair, her back facing away from the entrance. It didn't bother the woman though, her focus on her current task in hand, a small little bow with a pair of frills. The colors reflecting the manor quite well, with a dark striped design. She was so busy on her little job that she failed to notice the other's entrance.
Her Houndour responded though, jumping to his feet and letting out some warning barks. They weren't meant to be threatening, but his appearance made it seem otherwise. Cecile looked over at her Pokemon, patting him on his head to calm down. She didn't bother addressing any presence, instead wondering about what to make for lunch today. There were some fresh ingredients from the swamp, so perhaps she'll make some stew? Hotdog looked at his trainer with concern, lightly biting down on his hand to indicate possible intruders, but it was to no avail.

SHARP AS STEEL. STOP FOR NO MAN. YOU'D BETTER BEG AND KNEEL. Was that... barking?
Raoul blinked as he stepped inside and closed the door behind him, the scent of oil still strong as the door shut with barely a sound. His eyes flickered down to the traces of aura on the floor for a moment before they went to the area where the barking had come from and there was definitely a trail there with the same auras.
Interesting. Someone was definitely here. Someone who knew that he was already here if the dog barking -or well, he hoped it was a dog and not something strange, he had enough of those for a while- was any indication. Still, he supposed that spoiled his attempt at stealth for this try already, so with a bemused sigh he simply decided to walk further into the manor. He followed the trail without bothering to disguise his footsteps and he soon arrived in front of a room with an open door at one end of the foyer.
From what he could see, there seemed to be a small black dog with white accents alongside a person sitting on the chair. Female from what he could tell of the aura, and calm unlike the more alert dog.
"Hello? Is there any reason as to why you're seated there within an abandoned mansion?" Raoul couldn't help but call out.

Hotdog became alert once again, especially when the stranger you were trying to warn your trainer about had entered the room. He began to bark, desperately trying to convey the idea of an intruder or danger to his unsuspecting trainer. It didn't work quite as he expected to, considering the petting that he got once again. It certainly calmed him down, but it didn't eliminate the possibility of danger. Instead, he tilted his head and lightly bit his trainer, perhaps this time attracting the woman to pay attention to their surroundings instead of becoming absorbed in her work.
"Now what is it Hotdog?" she asked, glancing down on the Pokemon, stopping on one of stitches. She picked up the Houndour, placing him on her lap before showering him with even more attention. Hotdog let out a whining noise, climbing onto her shoulder to face the stranger at the doorway and let out a growling sound. Cecile took this as an attempt for the Pokemon to try on the new bow, which she happily obliged, placing the cute little accessory on one of his ear. It was then that he heard the man speak up and for the woman to realize that she wasn't as alone as she was. Sure, ghost type Pokemon were expected, but another human. Who would have thought the world was such place, surely not her!
"My good fellow, I say there is plenty of good reason! Do you not see such wonderful decor, here and there," she began, indicating with her hand to point at the torn curtains and then the crooked faded painting, all the while she still had not bothered to turn and face the man;
"You have to enjoy and learn from the finer things in life. That is exactly why I am here, well that and finding a good place to cook up lunch. Breakfast? Or would it be dinner now?" Cecile remarked, placing her Houndour down on the ground before properly checking her watch. It was late into the night apparently, so that meant it would either be an early breakfast or late lunch. She had been so preoccupied with her crafts that she had lost track of time. Perhaps that was why poor little Hotdog was desperately trying to get her attention. Properly meals were important to remain healthy after all!
"Would you care to join sir? I have plenty of food to go around," she offered, getting off the chair and finally turning to meet the man face to face. The light from the fire place and light filtering from the outside the only source to help the two party see. All in all, it was still extremely suspicious from someone looking in at the situation, but Cecile was being honest about it all. A meal was even more delicious with another party to join in.
