Neos was strangely more adventurous now, and he didn't know why. Something traumatic like the Vega City Gala would make anyone shy away from travel. Neos was different. Instead of hiding away in his apartment, he wandered away from it. He still had Pokemon to train; he still had learning to do; he still had to become a somebody. His injuries were healing slowly but surely. The claw-caused cuts on his neck didn't ache as much, neither did the bruises on his face and chest. The mental stress was still there though. Neos rubbed his face with an open hand; he definitely needed some sort of break. Once he pulled his hand down from his face, he noticed Vize staring at him. The Weavile had been watching him this entire time. Ever since Team Crux's attack on the Gala, Vize rarely took his eyes off of Neos. It was a bit unnerving to Neos to always have those blood-red eyes glued onto him. ( Are you okay? ) Vize asked, concerned. "Yes, I am," Neos replied. The pain medications helped a lot. He looked left and right. "Where's Romileus and Lune?"( Romileus went to go stretch his wings. Lune is meditating somewhere, ) Vize informed. He stepped closer to Neos and looked the human over. ( Looks like your wounds are healing well. )Neos nodded with a small smile. "Yeah, they are. The doctors told me that I should make a full recovery within a couple of weeks. That chokeslam though ..." Memories of a certain Riolu Morph flashed through Neos's mind. Part of him wondered where Toki was and how he was doing. "I'm surprised that alone didn't break multiple bones."( You're tough; that's why, ) Vize reasoned. ( I still want to find that piece of shit morph one day. )"He didn't have a choice in what he was doing, Vize," Neos explained; however, Vize wasn't having any of it. ( I don't care, ) Vize snapped with a growl. ( He could've killed you and then what? Him saying sorry wouldn't have done anything to bring you back. ) Now, Vize was speaking truth; Neos couldn't deny that. "I'm alive, and that's what matters," Neos insisted. Vize scoffed and rolled his shoulders. ( I still want to know what the hell Team Crux was doing there anyway. )“I can’t say that I know, but it must’ve been something important for them to attack the Vega City Gala of all things,” Neos theorized. “Besides, there were officers everywhere, and Team Crux was still able to stop the police and such from interfering with their plans.” Neos carefully adjusted his sunglasses, and Vize crossed his arms. “Just how strong is Team Crux?” Neos asked out loud. ---ZETSUMEI KŌKUSEKI--- "You cannot appreciate the light without understanding the cold embrace of the darkness first." The seductive aroma of nature surfed on the waves of the grassland’s cool breeze as the gangster plowed his way through an ocean of greenery that was dotted far and wide with red, yellow and blue colors. Like a fish out a water, Zetsumei Kōkuseki’s dark and grim appearance contradicted that of his surroundings, which made him reconsider for a moment why exactly he had stumbled out into the middle of nowhere. But he hadn’t ventured into the unfamiliar Breshno Flatlands by accident or to sight-see; his vorpal eyes scanning the open expanse from left-to-right, Zetsumei was on a hunt… he just hadn’t determined who or what would be his target yet. Born and raised in the slums of Vega City and rarely ever caring to tread deeply into the territories that were claimed by the wilderness, this was a strange experience for him, and just as the dangers of the streets came to teach him, he remained conscious and prepared for anything crazy to happen. Scouting in the distance ahead, the petite vulpine known as Luna the Zorua had zigged-and-zagged with her nose planted to the ground for the last ten minutes before she finally came to a stop, her towering ears perking up firmly, signaling that something had caught her attention. “Master Zetsumei!”, she called to him through a telepathic link once he was close enough, “I’ve found something! Right there… it appears to be a person and a Pokémon.”His devious gaze locked onto the obscure figures across the field, Zetsumei ran a hand through his spiky, gel-infested hair once as he cracked a meddling smirk. “Heh, about time! Let’s see what they’re up to…” Zetsumei declared as he strolled toward the destination. The closer he got, the more curious he became; there was a dark-skinned male who appeared to be around his age, but more intriguingly, a Pokémon he had never seen before. Approaching slowly from the male’s flank, Zetsumei had just barely heard the male’s last statement and thought it was ironically humorous for someone like him to have arrived at such an interesting moment. “Well, da’ answer to that question depends, you see…” Zetsumei spoke as he made himself known if either of them hadn’t already noticed. “You got da' pipsqueaks, and then you got da’ big guns…” Staring down the mysterious and grimace-faced Pokémon that stood next to the human, Luna remained on all fours, just a couple feet to the left of Zetsumei, and was ready for conflict, especially since she was no stranger to her master’s personality and… impulses. “Why, you lookin’ to pick a fight, kid?” Zetsumei challenged, relaxed and nonchalant of whether this acquaintance and his Pokémon was out of his league or not. Somewhat teasing the nameless male, that didn’t mean he wasn’t serious about his question. His team was still overbearingly under-trained, so if that meant provoking every trainer and random Pokémon he crossed paths with in order to gauge their capabilities and determine where they stood, then so be it. =============================================

Neos looked over his shoulder at the newcomer. He was a tall man with white hair and red eyes, odd clothing, painted toenails and an interesting manner of speech. It took a moment for Neos to understand what the stranger was saying, and even then, Neos couldn’t help but give the man a perplexed look. “I’m not a kid,” Neos said at first. “And--”( Who the hell are you? ) Vize suddenly interjected. The large Weavile gave Zetsumei an ugly look, one that made it clear that he did not enjoy Zetsumei’s presence at all. Neos stopped, looked at Vize before glancing at the white-haired newcomer. “I’ve already fought them. It’s why I look like this,” Neos said, motioning to the claw marks on his throat and the fresh bruise on his right cheek. He had more injuries, but they were hidden by his clothing. “Crux attacked Vega City yesterday; they crashed the entire Gala. I still don’t know why they did it. All I know is that law enforcement did not have a chance. I was told that Team Crux was powerful, but I didn’t realize that they were this strong. They have so many morphs in their ranks too, as well as strong Pokemon. I’m not sure how much longer Stellara can hold on before Team Crux breaks the entire region.” Neos frowned and looked at Vize. Vize was busy mean-mugging Zetsumei, keen on making sure that the thug didn’t try to pull anything. “Why did you ask if I’m trying to pick a fight?” Neos asked. “Are you Team Crux?” He didn’t know for certain, but Zetsumei sounded defensive when he questioned if Neos had any intentions of confronting Team Crux. ---ZETSUMEI KŌKUSEKI--- "You cannot appreciate the light without understanding the cold embrace of the darkness first." Etched throughout the nameless male's body as history's testimony of events that had passed, Zetsumei couldn't help but notice the scars and fresh wounds that the dark-skinned lad possessed, raising an piqued eyebrow, scrutinizing whether he had finally stumbled upon his first worthy opponent. He couldn't call it sympathy, but there was certainly something magnetic about crossing paths with those who were also riddled with the same disfigurements and remnants such as theirs. And he wasn't blind to the Weavile's defensive glare, only caring to glance at the creature when it dared to interrupt it's presumed master to question Zetsumei's identity. For a couple seconds, he initially fantasized about punting the little cretin to the other side of the flatlands, but instead he simply chuckled, retaining eye contact with the male as he continued to rant. Meanwhile, Luna slowly crept forward a few inches in front of Zetsumei and halted, securing a position between the antagonistic creature and her trainer. "Huh... is that right..." Zetsumei retorted, slightly annoyed that he had missed out on all the excitement of the Gala raid. While heavily drinking typically led to fun, the night prior he managed to drink himself into an unconsciousness that had completely stretched over the whole event. Consequently, it was just earlier this morning that he also received quite the lashing from one of his commanding officers for his absence. Of course, he didn't care even a little bit; a minor setback wasn't going to slow him down, and from the looks of it, it appeared destiny meant to have left him a piece of the cake after all. "Well, that's an unfortunate story, kid, but instead of all this bitchin', what are you gonna do about it? Just gonna roll over and accept defeat? Heh, pathetic." Zetsumei goaded, still cheesing subtly with a devilish grin. "You just hit da' jackpot though, buddy. You guessed it, I'm Team Crux. Name's Zetsumei Kōkuseki. Now, after all that, I'm willing to bet you're primed for some revenge, eh? So, here's you chance, kid. How about you start your warpath right here... with me?" The mobster impatiently waited after had thrown the bait, and as he was quite aware of how motivating anger could be, he hoped the little fishy would take it. PHARAOH LEAP.

So, Zetsu was Team Crux. It wasn't much of a surprise, and it was equally unsurprising that Zetsu wanted a fight. Neos wasn't sure about how skilled Zetsu was as a trainer, but the Zorua that accompanied him didn't look too powerful from a first glance. Vize watched amusedly as the fellow dark-type shifted positions, moving to place herself between him and Zetsu. ( Maybe we will start with you, ) Vize said, shooting Zetsu a dangerous look. ( Team Crux is an incredibly powerful organization, true, but ... ) The large Weavile looked Zetsu up and down. ( You're pretty foolish if you think she will be able to protect you from me, ) Vize said, motioning towards Luna with a pale-furred paw. Neos frowned slightly. "Vize, not now," he stated firmly. However, Vize simply gave him a look. ( I'm sorry, but did you just hear what he said? He wants a fight, so let's give it to him. He's Crux after all, and this is the only way they learn. Tell him that if he fights then I will tear her apart. ) The statement made Neos wince slightly, but he figured it was the only way to get the message across. "Vize says if we fight, he will tear your Zorua apart," Neos relayed to Zetsu. "And he's not kidding. He doesn't care much for mercy when it comes to battles like these. I'm not saying this just to scare you; you really shouldn't try to battle him. It won't end well for you." While Neos explained, Vize continued to stare at Luna and Zetsu, his blood-red eyes burning metaphorical holes into the two's skulls. He honestly wanted a reason to rip and shred the two worthless beings before him, and truthfully, he already had a perfectly sound reason to do it: they were Team Crux. However, he didn't want to do it with Neos against it, but if it got to a certain point, Vize would have to overrule Neos's discomfort in order to make sure that Zetsu's bold ass realized just how outmatched he was against Vize and Neos. ---ZETSUMEI KŌKUSEKI--- "You cannot appreciate the light without understanding the cold embrace of the darkness first." Luna’s relentless scowl intensified as the Weavile threatened her master, her fur pricking outwards like a porcupine in response. “Grrr… what’d you say?...” she growled as she flashed her two microscopic yet razor-sharp fangs. Beforehand, she was hesitant to combat the trainer and his Pokémon, but she couldn’t help that the Weavile’s insults managed to cut through her ability to remain chill like a hot knife. “I don’t care how strong you are… I won’t let you lay a finger on my master!” Though she was originally somewhat afraid of challenging the duo, as time passed that fear slowly began to change into anger and the conviction to pounce on the enemy with every ounce of strength in her body. Zetsumei, on the other hand, maintained his overly-confident posture, not being able to understand the Weavile but still being proud to hear that Luna was prepared to throw up the gloves in a heartbeat. However, it wasn’t until the trainer spoke and reiterated his Pokémon’s words that he finally understood and sympathized with Luna’s sudden temper. Silence filled the air for a moment as Zetsumei digested what he just heard and how to properly respond. Despite the fact that he could feel the sincerity in the male’s warning, instead he simply closed his eyes and nodded, a sturgeon-like expression plastered on his face. “Listen here kid, you must take us for some kind of pansies if ya’ think we’re just gonna turn tail and book outta’ here, ‘specially after a comment like that!” Not once since his conception had Zetsumei ever ran away from a confrontation, because on the streets, he knew that displays of weakness meant a hard-knock life. Devoted to this ideology, he came to be the one who would instigate conflicts, single-minded to prove his fearlessness, even if he was vastly overestimating his chances of victory. Without saying another word, he turned his back to them and calmly walked approximately fifteen meters away before stopping and returning his stance and eyesight back toward the opposing team, Luna eventually mimicking his exact movements once she was aware of what he was doing. “So, let’s see if that ugly-ass Pokémon of yours can back up all that big talk!” Zetsumei antagonized, which also served as the command for Luna to stand ready for battle. PHARAOH LEAP.

( Of course you two are weak. Do you know why? ) Vize asked with a sneer. ( Because it's the truth. ) Unlike Neos, Vize cared little for diplomacy when it came to Team Crux. They were utter trash to him, and his hatred for them intensified after Crux's attack on the Vega City Gala. He wanted any sort of reason to pummel Luna and Zetsumei into the ground. Then, it seemed as though Arceus answered his prayers. Zetsumei and Luna wanted to fight. A wide, sharp-toothed smile appeared on Vize's dark-furred face. ( You want to fight?! You're weak AND stupid! ) Vize claimed as he readied himself for battle. "Do we have to do this, Vize?" Neos questioned; he wasn't in the mood for confrontation. ( Yes, we do, Neos, ) Vize affirmed, red eyes hovering over Zetsumei. ( This so-called trainer is fine with having his own Pokemon suffer if it means his ego remains intact. ) The tall Weavile took a few steps forward. ( Just so you know, I don't have anything against you, ) Vize explained to Luna. He motioned at Zetsumei with a pale-furred paw. ( Only your stupid trainer. ) He then shrugged his shoulders. ( But let's try to have a good fight, alright? ) The statement appeared friendly ... until Vize let loose a devious smile. White energy surrounded the Weavile's form, the beginning of a Quick Attack. He burst forward in a dead-on sprint towards Luna. His right leg cocked back when he got close, and he lashed out with a vicious football kick towards Luna. If things went his way, Luna would go flying several meters into the distance. Zetsumei Kōkuseki
