The Gala still burned on, even in the dark of night. The sun had crept down below the horizon and the moon had risen to replace it earlier, but even now, the fire of the Gala was still alight. Stark, nearly blinding neon lights lit up the world, an oasis of light, and the buzzing ran through the streets, halfway between symphony and static.
And in that crowd was Sol Chance, still enjoying the night life of his hometown. His father might not approve of the young man slumming it after dark, but his father didn't have any more power over Sol at the moment than any other random man off the streets. Sol Chance found himself in the square, a small crowd gathering around him, as they inspected his new Pokemon that he had just won by luck of the draw: a Porygon that he had named "Ante". It was. . . an odd duck, to say the least, but the presence of the Artificial Pokemon was enough to draw a crowd.
And Sol Chance just loved being the center of attention. It was like being the crown jewel in a set of gems, the kind of feeling that he lived for. But soon, Sol Chance itched to move on.
"Alright," he said, "that's enough. I've still got stuff to do for the night."
Slowly, the crowd begun to disperse, but some still hung around, curiosity demanding they look at Ante, either from up close or afar, as some people still milled about outside the circle, gathering the courage to approach. Though perhaps not all who might approach were interested in the Porygon. . .

As a freshly created artificial Pokemon, Porygon’s mind started off as a blank slate. There was nothing there, save for the most basic of knowledge and functions. Then, Porygon started to take a liking to the internet and started memorizing whatever it saw presented to it. It was amazed that there was a creation that allowed so much information to be available at one’s fingertips, and it decided that it would do its best to become as knowledgeable and versatile as the internet. Porygon was then sent to the Vega City Gala to hopefully become adopted by a trainer. Now that it has a trainer, Porygon offers its massive database for its trainer’s use. If its trainer asks its a question, Porygon will research it and try to find an answer. This is great and incredibly helpful … except Porygon will sometimes randomly start glitching out and turn into an “evil”, destructive version of its self that revels in causing mischief and mayhem. This change in personality will last until the Porygon glitches back to its usual personality.
