First and foremost, Sol Chance is incredibly prideful. He takes a significant amount of stock in himself and is incredibly confident in his own abilities, more akin to arrogant than any sort of healthy confidence. There is a also a certain cockiness to his character and he carries himself with something of a swagger. Simply put, he believes himself to be innately better. Any proof otherwise is met with a blush and an embarrassed denial or a quick change of the subject, followed by immediate resolve that he will not let it happen again.

In addition, Sol is somewhat harsh, as if reflected by his training style. The young man might be described as unyielding by outsiders. Pain, be it to him or others, is temporary and means nothing in the pursuit of his goals, of which he has many. Sol is ambitious, and his harshness feeds into his desire to excel.

At his core, Sol is still a kid. He very much cares what other people think of him. He wants to be respected or liked, though he has a habit of chasing away the people who might seek to give him either with his somewhat oppressive personality, especially those who get close. Those who maintain a distance will find a sociable, if slightly ill-mannered, individual.


Sol Chance is a young trainer hailing from Vega City, where up until becoming a wandering trainer, he lived with his father, Ilios. From an early age, it was just the two of them; Sol's mother left this world shortly after the birth of Sol, leaving the infant with no memories of her. This left him in the hands of his father, who, to his credit, was very interested in taking care of his young son. However, the elder Chance was very ambitious and sought to pass that ambition on to his son. Illios, prior to having a family, had been a Stellara League hopeful himself, having claimed enough badges to be considered a trainer of notable talent. However, due to Sol's occurrence, Ilios was forced to act as something of a family man, though Sol could often recount memories of his father talking about his League ambitions.

Ilios sought to pass those on to his son, who was displaying incredible interest in Pokemon from an early age, even claiming to be able to understand them in a deeper fashion. Early on, this sprouted into a kind of love for Pokemon in Sol, one that Ilios saw and sought to cultivate into a talent for training. What started was a near decade long training regiment focused on brutal tactics and getting the most out of one's Pokemon. Under the iron hand of his father, Sol slowly grew into the young man he is today, a harsh young man who has the same League ambitions his father does, and he has now eagerly set out to conquer the Stellara region with a gift from his father: Fae the Eevee, the offspring of one of his father's old Pokemon.

PERSONALITY — Fae the Eevee is much like her trainer in the fact that she is a dedicated, ambitious young Pokemon that is willing to push her limits. However, as opposed to her trainer, she is much more business-like and even tempered, thinking with a much more analytical mind as opposed to her training. Some would also say that she is a lot more lax, not paying as much mind to others as Sol does. From a distance, this Eevee seems strangely calm and mature, approaching matters of battle with almost professionalism. In addition, this Eevee can also be a bit stubborn, and sometimes butts heads with her trainer, though she feels it is for the best.
