Veronika is a no nonsense kind of woman who currently has her mind set on one thing: cleansing the Lopes family name. The first step to doing this is to locate her father, a man she'd never met and doesn't know the name of. Just like any other member of the Lopes family, Veronika's father is running away from the law, and thus doesn't wish to be found. This season of Veronika's story is a sort of mystery on her father's whereabouts, and what he's been up to. She, along with her dear little friend Mabel the Minccino, will discover dark secrets about her father as well as other members of the Lopes family. Her journey will reach to the farthest edged of the family lineage, and perhaps even beyond the blurred line of the family tree. Will she be successful, or is she cursed to be just like her father and all of his fore fathers before him?

All seriousness aside, this is an incredibly laid back part of Veronika's life, so please feel free to give her as many relationships as necessary. Want a new friend? Sign right up, and I'm sure you and Veronika will get along just fine, as long as you don't mind the real serious types. Enemy? Sure! She's the daughter of people who badly abuse Pokemon, and even her own opinion on Pokemon is a bit blurred. There are plenty of reasons why she can be your enemy. Rival? Ohoho! You're so on! Veronika tends to stick to her goals, and if one of those goals are taking you down, that's precisely what she intends on doing.
Lovers? Woah woah! Slow down there, pardner! You should probably go through this whole plotter before rushing in and making a rash decision like that.

Friends
Like I stated earlier, Veronika isn't the typical type of friendly that you may expect from a girl. Sure, she can be nice and smile at times, but she is extremely serious. She's more than capable of taking breaks from her goals, but at the same time she loathes wasting time. For that reason, she isn't a loyal friend to just anyone. No, her true friendship is earned. This isn't to be mistaken as her being someone who won't talk to you at all if you aren't her friend, she just won't associate you as a friend. She's not a sentimental person, so when she does take the time to let you know that you are her friend, then you've pretty much earned yourself a friend for life. That is, assuming that you're willing to take that kind of risk.
You see, with Veronika, or any Lopes family member for that matter, there's a bit of a disconnection from the rest of society. That being that Veronika has no idea what her own perception of Pokemon is. She made an action against her mother because of the reaction a Skitty gave her, but it continues to bug her that she hadn't done anything about it before hand, nor does she think she was necessarily wrong for not doing anything before hand. So, yeah, Veronika has a lot of ideals that contradict with people from both ends of the spectrum as far as how to treat them. And, there's always a chance for Veronika to turn from being a friend to an enemy. After all, how do you suppose Veronika would view Pokemon if they treated people as badly as her mother had that Skitty?
Enemies
Veronika is just as capable of making enemies as she is friends. She's a one track minded individual, and if you're one that gets in her way regularly, you will be on this list. That being said, Veronika isn't the type of person who strikes without being stricken at first. She would much rather avoid serious conflict if at all possible. She avoids evil organizations, like Team Crux, as well as various organizations meant for the good of Pokemon. Basically anyone whom Veronika even thinks may react badly to her differing views, she avoids like the plague.
Still, if your willing to take her on, be warned! Veronika is not one to be messed with. She may look rather small and frail, but Ms. Lopes is quite clever when it comes to getting out of messes on top. She'd give Trainers every opportunity to turn back, but isn't necessarily afraid of fighting back. Her Minccino, Mabel, has Iron Tail and knows how to use it if the situation calls for it.
Romance
As far as being romantic goes, well... That comes with it's own risks, too. Unfortunately, Veronika's at a rather odd stage in her life, and romance is probably on the bottom of the list of her priorities. That's not to say it's not worth trying! There's always a chance that a guy might grab her attention and admiration enough to be interested in the notion. But, if you remember what was said in the Friendship section, she may not stay a decent person forever. Her views on Pokemon could switch on a dime, and that could be devastating to anyone who loves Pokemon. The same thing could be said for someone who abuses Pokemon. Seeing a Pokemon getting abused pushed Veronika to calling the cops on her own mother. A lover would be in the same boat if she felt they did bad enough.
That being said, Veronika would be quite the dedicated lover should it turn out her ideals doesn't contradict her significant other, and you know what they say! If your life can change once, it can change again. Nothing in life is set in stone.
Rivals
As far as rivals go, this is probably going to be the most stable relationship you could have with her aside from just remaining an acquaintance. It would be a situation where you wouldn't exactly like her, but you wouldn't hate her either, or maybe you might be a friendly rival who likes everyone. Either way, you'd be a necessity to drive her to completing her goals while at the same time getting in the way. You'd get under her skin, and she'd get under yours. One of her missions would be to outdo you in anything and everything, and that's just fine by her. Veronika is looking for ways to improve. She hates a stagnant life, and longs to have a goal to reach at all times. For this reason, for Veronika, the rival is probably the most important role in Veronika's current stage of life.
Others
Veronika's an extremely loyal person, and remains loyal to her family to this day. If it ever turned out that her family needed her help, Veronika would not hesitate. However, she is also someone who tries to do what she believes is right, and will stick with her morals first and foremost. Acquaintances are pretty much just like friends, only they're in a situation that poses less risks. She's less loyal to acquaintances, but she doesn't treat them badly unless they become an enemy or rival of hers. Her relationship with Pokemon, even her own, is a rather unstable one. On one hand, she'd witnessed a lot of bad things happen to Pokemon, and a part of her is completely shattered by the fact that she let it happen. However, another side of her absolutely hates Pokemon of any kind for the fact that her mother is in jail because of them. The ironic thing is that the best relationship she has currently is with her Minccino, Mabel. Mabel is a Pokemon Veronika adores so much that she spoils her rotten. Mabel is the only stable person within Veronika's life, and the young woman wants the Minccino around for as long as she can keep her around.
