BUNEARY
Level 4, Female, Klutz
Frustration, Defense Curl, Splash, Pound, Foresight, Power-Up Punch
Personality:
When it came down to things, this Buneary was the most unreliable of them all. Perhaps it was due to her lack of pride or a simple case of being indecisive, she never seems to get anything right, in her eyes. No matter how hard she tried, she ends up making a mess and a fool out of herself. Deep down, she still thought that if she tried hard enough, then she can do things right like the other Bunearies. Just maybe, they would stop making fun of her. Due to her sensitive nature, she always reacted badly to insults or anger, always curling up into herself. She made it difficult for others to approach, but she really did want to be pampered, even a little bit for her efforts.
Lili kept on bouncing and rolling, even when this area was called flatlands, she kept going in one direction. Just because something is called flatlands it didn’t mean it was perfectly level. Each time she hit a bump, it caused her to keep going. Lori simply followed close behind, careful not to lose the little ball of pink in the sea of grasses. Her partner’s roundness always seemed to make life a game of catch. It was only after hitting a particularly bad patch of land did Lili completely careen off in one direction like a bullet.
Buneary was having a grand ole time all by herself, crying about messing up the play date. It was all her fault that she knocked the other person into the dirty puddle. After getting berated, she proceeded to stay out of the other Pokemons way. That meant keeping her head down in the grass and finding a quiet place to contemplate. It wasn’t so bad being alone, not that anyone will come find her. That was why it was all the more surprising when a ball suddenly smacked her in the face. It was a soft ball though, so it didn’t hurt, just startle the Pokemon.
(Sorry! I didn’t mean to hit you!) the ball said. Buneary tilted her head in confusion, she never heard a ball talk before. It wasn’t until the thing turned did she realize that it wasn’t a ball. There was another Pokemon here.
(It’s okay I wasn’t doing anything important anyways.) she sniffled a reply, composing herself at last. She tottered over to the Igglybuff and helped it roll over onto their feet, at least what she assumed to be feet.
That was when Lori burst out of the grass as well, surprising the Buneary once again. A human! Was it the Igglybuff’s trainer? She looked between the two, thinking that they looked rather similar in a way. Perhaps it was the demeanor the two had, that sort of air of positivity or carefreeness.
“Good job Lili, we found a Pokemon! Let’s catch it!” Lori grinned, taking out a spare Pokeball from somewhere within her oversized coat.
(That’s rude Lori! You shouldn’t just try to catch the first Pokemon you see, what if they have their own trainer?) Lili chastised.
“Then we take them anyways if we have to!” Lori exclaimed, making the casual statement of stealing another’s Pokemon rather innocently. Though Lori would rather not have to, but if orders came she’ll do it by any means reasonable. This only made the Igglybuff shake their head, but not really correcting her either. All the while Buneary was just watching the exchange with a tiny bit of envy. It was obvious they cared for one another. She wanted to be part of that, even for a little bit.
(You don’t want me, I mess everything up.) she explained towards the Igglybuff.
(I’ll just be a nuisance.) she sniffled remembering how she ruined the play date.
“Nonsense! If you make mistakes, then that mean you’ll just have to train more. If you train hard enough you can do anything!” Lori called out, throwing up her arms to the sky. The Igglybuff did the same thing, mimicking her trainer. Buneary was just taken aback by the fact that the human understood her. Than again, she never really met one before.
(E-even me?) she asked, tears filling her eyes at the sound of hope.
“Yes even you! It won’t be easy, there is lots of hard work and you push yourself super hard, but if you’re willing to do it, you’ll reach your goal,” Lori proudly explained. The way the girl said it was simply so sure, so positive, that the Buneary thought that just maybe, that was true. Perhaps the reason she hasn’t improved was because she didn’t train hard enough or didn’t know the proper way to train.
(If you want to give Lori a try, then I’ll be happy to welcome you.) Lili offered, moving over to the Buneary and offering her little hand.
The Buneary cautiously looked at the hand, wondering whether to take it in the end. She had heard stories about Pokemon getting trainers, some good and others bad. Even some of the others had been captured and never heard from again. What accepting the offer meant was leaving her old life behind. This made her consider whether there was any merit in her life right now. All she ever did was make others angry at her. She didn't feel wanted and perhaps they won't even notice she was gone. In the end, it was her choice to leave though. There was something genuine in the way the trainer approached things that gave her hope.
The Buneary looked from the Igglybuff to the trainer. She was being welcomed and invited. Quite frankly she always accepted an invitation when offer. She had weighed in on the offer. So, she nodded, using her ears as a means to shake their hand. The trainer looked nice enough, she even listened to her Pokemon. The fact that they understood one another made her feel that it'll be easier to connect. If there was even a tiny bit of chance for change then she’ll take it!
That was how the bunny signed a deal with the devil. [/ul]
