The din of the festival still rang about in the evening air, showing no signs of slowing as the day itself began to wind down with the sun slowly crawly downwards, towards the horizon as the skies darkened and turned the deepest shade of evening glow orange. The streetlights flickered on in anticipation of the coming dark, each forming a tiny island of light in the streets, illuminating the throngs of people who passed under them for just a moment. The mass of people rushed either which way, stopping at random as people sought out the games, the food stalls, the vendors, the erratic traffic acting as the ill-maintained heartbeat of the city, yet it kept the city alive and well; Vega City was teeming with a life, quite unlike Dracul had ever seen before. Part of the crowd, the old gym leader moved about, strong arming his way through the people until he finally forced his way out at a noodle stall. The scent of the broth floated out over the street and took him somewhere else, a simpler time and place, away from the hustle and bustle of this foreign city, back to when everything was a lot simpler. The old dragon tamer settled himself on one of the stools, his robes dirty and wrinkled from being out and about in the festival. He patted himself down, finding the now familiar weight of Gelato's Pokeball, having stoppered the tiny dragon in the sphere when he was proving to get out of hand in the streets. "Stall keeper!" He said aloud to the young man who was tending the stall, his back turned in making himself busy, "One order of that veggie dish when you get a chance!"The young man looked over his shoulder and nodded. "Sure thing, pops!" he cried, "Just gimme one sec- hey, don't I recognize you from the news?"The man suddenly stopped and turned to look at Dracul in full. "Yeah," he said aloud, "you're that new gym leader out of Shaula. Drake, right?"Dracul coughed and smiled. "Dracul, actually," he said beaming, "but close enough!""Ah, right, sorry, sir!" he said, "I'll get started on those noodles for ya!"Dracul grinned and sat with his hands folded in his lap as the crowd bustled around him, unaware what- and who- it might contain. . . Ghost of a Chance Leon Solis - Disguised Form Party - Ember Lvl 14, Choco Lvl 8, Nocturne Lvl 10
Ah, the Gala.
Fond memories beheld this place, for it was a good experience for everyone.
Leon Solis knew Vega City as if he had lived there his entire life. Here is where he had his first sip of wine, his first time hosting a fashion show, his first time making a fortune. The Gym Leader was wondering if he got to work early, if he could enjoy all three splendors. They were the things he enjoyed the most… Well, not the fortune part, he could care less about money, he cared more about the work he could be doing. All the dressed, the professional suited tuxes… The masquerade… Yes, the masquerade, that’s it! That shall be the theme of the fashion show!
As usual with Leon, he was holding his pokemon close to him. Ember resided on Leon’s arm, Choco hugged the Morph’s leg and the Rowlet? Well, he slept on. No surprise there. The owl was as stubborn as a Charizard when it came to sleep. It slept through rain, shine, battle or not. Maybe if Leon used the pokedex on Nocturne, it’d come up as a rock type, or better yet, a Snorlax! Leon giggled at the idea, which earned a look from Cyndaquil.
Leon had been out browsing shops, as he usually did, but now he was upset. His favorite store he visited every year was closed down shop, as it only made reservations for the first few days of the event and Leon made the mistake of traversing the desert before turning around for the Gala. With such disasters happening, he realized that it’d probably be best for him to start purchasing plane tickets, maybe even the subway? The rails travelled far, even to other regions, so there was no point in NOT taking it. Plus, maybe he could find this battle station he had been hearing so much about?
Dusk was approaching and lights were starting to turn on. Shops, restaurants, streets, all aglow with the radiance. It was infectious, taking over the crowded streets in seconds. It was a beautiful site to see, especially if you knew where to look. Leon found it best to stare at the buildings from afar, watching as the men and women of the world wake themselves up from a dark home, whether they be relaxing or working. Vega City was a marvel at every turn, even as some place as simple the parks.
Time was passing fast and the man was walking slow. The Cyndaquil was starting to look gloomy and the always-so-peppy Swirlix looked out of it. Hunger was striking. Time for a pit stop! Luckily for Leon, there was a ramen shop very close to his current position. It looked rather nice for place on the outer streets, so maybe it would be worth a try? In not, he could always just survive off of a beer and a breath mint.
The Gym Leader made his way through the thickened crowd, his servine shaped hood over his head nearly falling off in the process, but luckily, he manage to slide out with his blonde form still intact. The morph stepped up the bar-like booth and sat down at one of the stools, placing down his pokemon on the bar to choose their seating. Ember chose to sit in place while Choco took the stool beside his trainer, hopping up and down slowly. When a young man walked over to take his order, a order of beef ramen and another of veggie came to fruition from his pokemon, while Leon ordered a shrimp flavor for himself, along with a whiskey after some strange misunderstandings. After all was said and down, the hooded man laid his head into his arms, missing the figure who sat to his right.

A hooded figure slumped forward into a seat, unceremoniously dumping itself right next to Dracul, quickly relaying its order to the young man tending the stall. The hooded man's Pokemon soon piled into the stall after him, suddenly transforming the once near-empty dining place into a practically bustling diner. Soon, the staff deposited Dracul's own bowl in front of him, chopsticks slickly slid next to the pull. Humming to himself, Dracul broke them apart with a sharp snap and turned his gaze on the hooded figure that was now face down on the stall's bar. Dracul quickly shoved a mishmash of beef and noodles in his mouth, swallowing quickly before setting his chopsticks aside for a moment, turning slightly in his seat so that he might have a better view of the hooded newcomer. Slowly, he stroked his beard and looked at him with parental curiosity. "Say, young one," he said happily, "what's got you down in the dumps? Lose all your money on the games? Sweetheart break up with you?" Dracul gave a wide, fatherly grin, amber eyes closed tight in mirth now. "Or have the festivities and your Pokemon worn you down, eh?" he asked, "Don't see very many people in your state this early into the night." Leon Solis

Ghost of a Chance Leon Solis - Disguised Form Party - Ember Lvl 14, Choco Lvl 8, Nocturne Lvl 10
As the trainer finally managed to collect his thoughts from the rush of the nice, a voice called out to him. It was gentle and kind, a man of wisdom, hope. The Gym Leader raised his head, looking at the figure who called to him, seeing Dracul in all his glory. As a gym leader himself, Leon would certainly recognize that face. He knew the older man hadn’t been a gym leader for much time himself, so maybe he didn’t recognize Leon, especially now that he had his blonde hair for display.
The Servine Man crossed his arms and smiled, shaking his head to Dracul. “No sir, I have no lady for myself and I’m actually pretty good at betting. I’d have to say I missed this place, but it sure can run me down!” The Servine smiled, offering a curious hand from his crossed arms. “Say, what is a man like you doing all the way out here? I’d never expect to see the ever-so-positive Dracul exploring the Gala, whether that is be by chance that I met you or not.”
Whether the man answered his question or not, Leon would eventually give his hand to greet instead. “Leon Solis, Trainer, Clothier, Gym Leader.” The Servine man greeted himself, just as his food arrived.
OOC: Sorry for the wait!

Dracul gave a sideways grins as the boy ever so casually dropped Dracul's own name into conversation. It seemed as if he was going to get recognized everywhere tonight. "What can I say?" he asked with a cheerful shrug, "Even old folks like me need to get out and about occasionally and have some fun. The Gala is a good place for it."And a flash of recognition flashed through Dracul's eyes as the young man revealed his own name: Leon Solis, Saiph City's gym leader. He had recognized the name where the face failed him; it came up occasionally in emails and other communications from the League. Quickly, he extended his own hand, eager to meet the boy's greeting, shaking it fiercely. "Ah ah," he said happily to the blonde boy, "I was wondering when I would get to meet my colleagues. Perhaps fate has brought us together tonight."Dracul grinned, enjoying the hammy aspect of the idea of fate bringing the two of them together. No, thought Dracul, he did not believe in fate. He had lived through too much to actually think that there was some cosmic force pulling the strings. "So," he continued, "let me ask you a question, Mister Solis: what brings the Saiph City gym leader out here? Enjoying the festival, I take it? Or business?" Leon Solis

"Well, a gym leader holds high honor, you know! You holding that spot means that you're quite the fighter! You AND your pokemon!" The trainer praised before being turning to his bowl and taking a couple of bites. Their conversation steadied until Leon's reveal. "Ah, yes, I'm not the Servined man in the pictures you may have seen. This is my state in which I get around, for it's easier to avoid..." The boy went silent for a moment, then cleared his throat as he downed another portion of his vegetarian. The Cyndaquil to the man's side grew conscious to the scene and nudged his trainer. "Quil?"(You okay, Leo?) It chirped, which was answered with a hand gesture for "Just fine". The Cyndaqui gained a stubborn fire, but turned away quietly.
Leon didn't notice the man's hand outstretched to him for about a solid 30 seconds now. The boy grabbed his head and shook the man's hand, his body being tugged by the force of the shake. Was that his wave of on ignoring him or was that just how Dracul was? "Fate indeed" Said the blonde boy, who was removing his hood from his face. With the removal of the hood, Leon moved on to remove the hoodie itself. When it came off (after a struggle with the tail), Leon was in his usual outfit. His blonde hair had changed back to it's natural shade in mere seconds. The last thing to remove were the green gloves he wore, which revealed his leafy arms, which were covered by his sleeve soon after. "There we go"
"Fate sounds a little childish, though... But as it may or may not exist, I say that it is what it is." Leo closed his eyes as Dracul questioned Leon now, a small smile developing over his face. "Honestly, I'm looking for fun, work, and maybe even love. I doubt that I will find the one, though..." A long sigh escaped his mouth. "I wish I knew where the perfect one was... I feel like I've known them for a millennia, but I've never seen their face..." Spoke the Gym Leader, his chin now having wrapped fingers along them. Maybe there was no "perfect one"? It didn't seem impossible, but maybe there was hope yet...

The Morph boy shook hands and took to removing his hoodie, revealing the boy's true form. A disguise of sorts, thought Dracul, for some reason or another. A handsome young man like himself has to have fans, reasoned the dragon master, perhaps that was why: to avoid unwanted attention like that. It made sense. The conversation took a philosophical, intimate turn, and Dracul nodded his head slowly, taking another bite from his bowl as he listened to what his young associate had to say. Was the boy. . . troubled? Matters of the heart struck at the core of every young man sometime or another. And it just so happened that Leon was a rather pensive young man. The urge to give fatherly advice quickly came over Dracul, and he once again set his food aside to speak. "Well, Mister Solis," he said, summoning his parental voice, "I don't really believe in fate, as convincing as it might be sometimes. I believe we make our own ultimate destination. Be it love, battle, fortune. So, you just need to keep looking. When I met my wife- rest her soul- I think I fell in love with her right then and there."He cleared his throat. "But! That might not be the case for you, young man. Sometimes, love is a slow burn. But even a slow, small fire can turn into a bigger one. Almost all fires start small and grow after tender care. Do you catch my meaning?"Dracul folded his arms across his chest, satisfied with his lecture. Leon Solis

Ghost of a Chance Leon Solis - True Form Party - Ember Lvl 14, Choco Lvl 8, Nocturne Lvl 10
Leon’s finger began to tap on the counter. Soft, little pitter patters as he rolled his finger nails in a rhytmic pattern. He wasn’t impatient, no, but he felt uneasy. He had had the worst feelings about this Gala in particular that made his stomach churn inside out. He didn’t know if that was because his luck was running low or if this would simply be a bad year. By now, he’d usually have his business up and running, but he had taken his time on getting it set up. Maybe he was nervous about not gathering up enough funds? It seemed so…
A few seconds passed and Dracul slid his bowl to his side, almost like a father before giving a life lesson. Leon knew the feeling far too well, but at the same time, not enough. When the elder began to speak, Leon tried his best to listen on the topic of love, but his mind wanted to ignore it. Leon looked over at the Rowlet, who had finally woken up and was spinning in circles with an odd dance while he sang small melodies for the ancient forests. Leon imagined it was a song from back home, but he hadn’t been there in so long, that he did not recognize the words of the owl.
(Once long ago, We cherished our Earth. Water and wood, Soil and sun, We bring love to it, Tell it our hellos Pray it our goodbyes.)
Leon turned to the Cyndaquil, who was half way through his meal before the chocolate Swirlix began to gobble down at full speed. Ember didn’t seem to care much, for his belly was already full, so now it was was all Choco’s. Leon turned back to the wise sage and tilted his head to his words. Leon nodded to Dracul’s question, his eyes still sad. “I do. I just don’t know if I’ll ever kindle that flame…” The boy leaned over the counter and folded his arms inward, his thoughts travelling as he thought more and more on the elder’s words. “Say, Dracul…” The boy swallowed and watched the workers cook another meal for a boy who sat on the opposite end on the bar. “I know it’s… not really the right time to ask, but…” Another sigh, this one nervous. “How did you meet your wife?” The boy looked over, his eyes full of curiosity behind their saddened droop.
OOC: aaaaaa i changed the music to meet more fitting even thought its literally the same song but slower
