| D ay two of Ganziko's hunt for Pokemon! This time he was on his own, exploring the area surrounding Cyngi City without any form of direction. It was an exciting feeling to strike out solo like this! Normally whenever he was out and about he had very specific directions that he needed to follow, with rules that his father somehow always knew if he broke. But today was different! Today he was doing things his way. Or more accurately, today Ganz was going to figure out what 'his way' actually was. But looking at it that way just made him more nervous, so he would have to do his best to keep a more positive outlook. He had to stay strong for his team! They needed to see that he was a solid rock of a trainer that whose wisdom they could trust in the heat of battle.
As usual during these expeditions Vengence was hovering nearby, casually floating around and keeping an eye out for potential captures. Meanwhile Venom, the newest addition to the team, lazily clung to the back of her new trainer's scarf. As invigorated as she usually was, all of this pointless wandering was getting rather boring for the spider. So rather than waste her precious time she decided that this would be a good time for a nap. This had been grating on the gaseous Pokemon's nerves the entire trip, knowing that he was the only hard at work to assist Ganz in his search. It just wasn't fair. After a while Ven was sick of it and decided he had to act. The ghost slowed down a bit, allowing his trainer to pass so he could sneakily get behind him. Then he stared down at the Spinarak, who was dangling just a few inches from the ground. His mouth curved into a wicked smile as his large tongue slowly unrolled, slowly moving in to give her a rude awakening.
It was about this time that Ganz glanced over his shoulder, curious of what Ven was up to back there. His brows furrowed at the all too familiar sight of a Gastly about to give one of those dreadful licks. "Don't even think about it." The ghost's tongue suddenly retracted back into it's mouth as his gaze quickly shifted to Ganziko. With a frown he quickly floated forward again, clearly displeased with his trainer's leniency. (I don't see why she gets to sleep while we do all the work.) Ganz gave his Poke-partner a weak smile and a shrug of the shoulders as he responded. "She's just resting up. She's not used to training like you, so just let her get her strength back and be ready for battle."
As if on queue the two of them would hear a rustling in the bushes. They immediately stopped in their tracks, turning to face the source of the noise. Ven quickly moved between Ganz and the source of the noise, the trademark Gastly smile returning to his face as he waited for his opponent to make itself known. Meanwhile Ganziko would glance over his shoulder, wondering if he should wake Venom up yet or just let her sleep. She was just too cute to disturb!

| SPECIES — Exeggcute TYPE — Grass/Psychic ABILITY — Chlorophyll HELD ITEM — None GENDER — Male HEIGHT — 1 ft 6 in WEIGHT — 6 lbs MOVE LIST — Barrage, Uproar, Hypnosis, Leaf Storm PERSONALITY — Since Exeggcute is actually a collection of six minds working in unison, it's tough to describe his personality. Each egg is an individual, and they each have their own thoughts, opinions and personality. However they all defer to the central egg, which is the one that does all of the speaking for them. The largest egg of the group is very stern and serious, and takes his job of leading his brothers very seriously. Since they communicate with discreet telepathy, he is able to address his brothers in private. He usually does this before making any sort of decision, as he wants to do everything that he can to maintain order.
Order is something that is highly valued by this collection of Pokemon. They all believe that it is best that the most capable of them take the lead, as it has served them well thus far. However they are also rather arrogant, as they believe that being able to pool their minds and thoughts together makes them intellectually superior to other 'single minded' beings. Though this isn't the case, since they are in fact rather childish despite their generally serious personality.
T here was a tense moment as Ganz and Ven prepared for battle, as they both braced themselves for whatever could have been lurking in the bushes. They may have known that it wouldn't be a particularly big Pokemon, but that didn't mean it couldn't be something dangerous. All of the pressure quickly faded as a cluster of pink eggs bounced out from the bushes, a sight that was much less intimidating than what Ganz was initially picturing. Vengence however didn't drop his guard, carefully eyeing the Exeggcute as he waited for signs of aggression. There was a pause as both parties stared at each other, the silence quickly making Ganz uneasy once again. During this time each of the eggs were independently surveying the situation, looking between the trainer, his Pokemon and their surroundings.
After a moment the egg at the center of the group would lock eyes with Ganziko as he initiated telepathic communication. (You have invaded our territory. Leave, or we will call upon the horde.) The trainer squinted at the egg, the sensation of these words appearing in his head only serving to make him more uncomfortable. He had to take a second to get over it before he could even react. He looked around the area, only seeing a couple spread out trees and some bushes along the beaten path. "Horde? What are you talking about? We're the only ones here." Ven glanced towards Ganz as he spoke, his tongue rolling into itself as it slid back into his mouth. Damn telepathic eggs. He always hated obnoxious psychic types. (If you're gonna talk, say it where we can hear it. The guy understands us, you know.)
Half of the Exeggcute's went wide eyed at this, quickly looking between the Gastly and his trainer as they all huddled closer together. There was another pause, which left Ven and Ganz in a state of confusion. Were they talking to each other somehow? It would make sense since they didn't have any trouble contacting his mind. But it was still...weird. Eventually the central egg would look to the one eyed trainer again, this time speaking aloud. (You understand us? Then perhaps you are worthy. But you should know that we are but representatives. There are countless more of us watching you at this very moment.)
Ganziko went wide eyed at this revelation, once again searching the area for any signs of more Pokemon. "What!? Where!?" Even his trained eye was unable to see any other signs of life. Were they really so sneaky that they such a large number of them could escape his detection? As his trainer frantically looked around Ven simply stared at the bundle of eggs with an unamused expression. Honestly it was a little saddening that his trainer was so gullible that he would simply believe their words without a second thought. (You're bluffing.) Suddenly all the eggs turned to face the floating Pokemon, the bunch making for a mixed bag of emotions. Some were angry, some were frightened, while the central egg simply stared into the gaseous creature's eyes.
The scarfed trainer looked between the two Pokemon in confusion, Vengence's words managing to calm him down a bit. As upsetting as it was that he didn't think of it first, he had to admit there was a pretty strong possibility that they were full of it. Ganz crossed his arms as his eyes settled on the silent eggs, lips curling into an irritated frown. "Yeah. If there's more of you, show us some proof." The cluster remained completely still at this point, though some of them turned to look at Ganz as they conversed with each other. Eventually the center egg would turn back to the human, still wearing it's stern expression.
(You have passed the first test, human. We are impressed.) Were they being serious? At this point even Ganz was sick of this crap. It was pretty obvious they were just attempting to cover up their terrible attempt at a lie that he totally wasn't falling for earlier. He let out an irritated sigh as he turned away from the wild Pokemon. Whatever this second test was it couldn't have been worth standing around for. "We're wasting our time Ven. Let's just keep looking." The ghostly Pokemon nodded in agreement and turned away as well, the two of them starting to walk away from the group. They weren't about to stand around and play games with a Pokemon they weren't even interested in capturing.
This Exeggcute left in shock, all of the eggs staring at the human as he simply walked away from them. They all turned toward the center egg, mentally clamoring at him in anger and humiliation. While their words were all different their thoughts were one in the same. The human had shamed them, and such transgressions would not stand. (Do not walk away from us, human. We are not done with you!) As they spoke all of the fallen leaves in the area slowly started to rise from the ground, all gathering over the Exeggcute to form a massive green cloud. Ganz looked over his shoulder toward them, getting ready to make an annoyed remark telling the Pokemon to just leave them alone. But that all changed the moment he saw the leaves starting to gather. "Look out Ven!"
Vengence turned back just in time, catching the attack just before it was launched. The two of them immediately moved to jump out of the way, hoping to at least avoid the brunt of the attack. The sudden movement was enough to finally wake Venom from her nap, her round eyes snapping open as she felt herself being jerked around. The rude awakening left her shock, causing her to release from her grip on her trainer's scarf at quite possibly the worst time possible. She was left in the middle of the pathway, which put her in the most vulnerable position. She could only watch as the Exeggcute launched it's Leaf Storm At the group.
The massive onslaught of razor shop leaves was too big to completely avoid, resulting in Ganz still taking significant damage. Ven and Venom, on the other hand found the attack was not very effective against them, especially in Venom's case. Even after a direct hit she had only taken minor damage. Though that didn't mean she wasn't pissed that they woke her up from her well earned nap. (You're going to regret that. I'll suck the yolk out of you!) Without a thought she charged toward the now exhausted Exeggcute, ready to crack their shells with her own two mandibles. Vengence followed close behind her, letting his tongue roll out once more as he prepared to carry out his namesake.
Meanwhile the human sat on the ground with clenched teeth, his body covered in deep cuts and scratches. A direct hit from a move like that and he wasn't sure he would have survived. That thought alone was enough to change his mind on the situation. After pushing himself off the ground he would make his way back to the road where he would find his two Pokemon already charging toward their attackers. "Be careful you two! We're taking them home with us." He couldn't allow a Pokemon with such a powerful attack to be free like this. There was no telling what could have happened if they tried a stunt like this on someone who lacked the reflexes to avoid the attack.
Venom didn't care much about what was being said to her, as she was far too focused on getting her payback. She lowered her head as she got near the Exeggcute, who were too busy looking to their leader for guidance to see the danger that was headed their way. Her horn made a direct hit, piercing one of their shells with a Poison Sting and pumping poison into it's body. The attacked egg let out a cry of pain, causing the rest of them to turn to face their opponent, their eyes reflecting a mixture of surprise and terror. Ganz carefully walked forward, reaching into his satchel and pulling out a Pokeball as Vengence moved in to make his attack."Give them a Poison Lick."
As he said that the toxic fumes that surrounded the Gastly started to concentrate onto it's tongue, forming a thick fog around it. The fog would then condense, coating the pink surface in a toxic purple liquid. The ghost would then brush the drenched tongue across multiple eggs as he floated over, the poison seeping into their shells and causing causing their panic to reach new levels. All of them could feel the poison coursing through their bodies, and they were too exhausted from their attack to properly fight back. They had to retreat if they were going to live to fight another day. They immediately turned toward a nearby bush and started bounding in it's direction, but their efforts would be fruitless.
Ganz pulled his arm back and tossed the Pokeball in their direction with precise accuracy, the red and white sphere bouncing off the center egg before enveloping them in a red light. Inside the weakened creatures struggled to escape, causing the ball to wiggle back and forth on the ground. The three of them moved closer to the ball, getting ready to strike if they managed to break out of the ball. No matter what, they couldn't just let this Pokemon be free. It was too dangerous.
