Cold they may be, these mountains were gorgeous. And they were full of unexpected things. She met again the trainer she took a quest with the other day, and found some unexpected Pokemon. They were like people, in a way, making their homes where you might not expect to see any. That was fine by her, especially since while looking for something specific she found new and unexpected friends. Honoka had put her Pokemon back in their Pokeball for now. It was a little colder than was comfortable for most of her Pokemon to be out for long; most weren't accustomed to chillier temperatures like these, even if she herself was fine. They didn't have jackets and such like she did, and while she could probably get some made for them, not all of them would be able to wear them, and they might not even work for all types, depending on the Pokemon. That's why she had their Pokeballs, and them them under her jacket, despite the metal of them being cold against her skin. Those warmed up eventually, she could deal with a little bit of cold metal when taking out and putting back her Pokemon. She tilted her head up to the sky, wondering if it was going to snow, or if any of those puffy clouds were what she was looking for. She wasn't even sure if she would find what she was after out here, but who knows, right? It was always worth a look, and maybe she'd get lucky. At this rate, though, she was considering upping her team count from a max of 10 to a max of 15. She got out enough now that she could do it reasonably and they'd all get a fair amount of time out with her equally. She'd just have to wait to see where that went, and what she found that she could get lucky with, as well as if she could even find the Pokemon she had in mind. @tag - words: 342 - notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

The sky is not where anything came from however. As Honoka was gazing at the clouds, a ball of whitish tan fluff would drop into the powder snow in front oh her, creating a great big puff of snow that covered her head to toe. She gasped, hands moving in front of her belatedly in an automatic reaction, and stared at the spot the puff of fur had dropped from. A Mankey climbed out of the snow, chittering excitedly, and ran back up the cliff to do it again. Honoka found herself laughing as she brushed the snow off of her hair and jacket and pants. What a goofy Pokemon. It didn't take notice of her at all, either, it just jumped from the probably 4 foot cliff side into the snow banks, sending up more and more puffs of snow. Honoka shook her head and chuckled in amusement, dislodging a little bit more snow, and decided she would move on from that spot. She wasn't interested in a Mankey, and it clearly didn't care about her being there, either. Passing on the Mankey @tag - words: 188 - notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

WILD POKEMON SPAWN SNEASEL Level 6, Male/Female, Keen Eye or Inner Focus Scratch, Leer, Taunt, Ice PunchSneasel is a mysterious Pokemon. Not much is really known about him/her, and he/she avoids informing others about his/her past as much as possible. It’s hard to tell whether this is because Sneasel is trying to hide something that he/she did in his/her past or if his/her past was tragic and Sneasel just wants to not remind himself/herself about it. Whatever the case may be, the dark-type is gracious to find a trainer that is willing to take him/her in. In a way, Sneasel sees this as a new start for him/her and as a means for him/her to grow and develop into a better Pokemon all around. Despite this, Sneasel can be quite the troublesome Pokemon, prone to picking fights with his/her fellow teammates and other Pokemon. He/she takes pride in his/her thieving abilities and uses them to frequently steal from others, whether it be personal belongings, food, valuables and much more.

The Mankey now behind her, Honoka would walk the mountain path, entering a grove of trees. She was just walking, hoping to spot something, when something ran into her from behind. She stumbled forward a little bit, feeling almost like she'd been pushed, and a little grey blur would dart past her. It would stop several feet in front of her, crouched low, a bag in hand. Her bag. Wait, her bag? She reached down to her side and found her leg pouch missing, the little Sneasel in front of her now going through it. "Hey! You little thief, give that back!" She'd growl at it. The Sneasel just kind of ignored her, still rummaging through her bag. She marched up to it, having not fallen from being pushed, and snatched the bag right out of its hands. It had been so caught up in seeing what she had that was worthwhile that it hadn't noticed her walk the few feet up to it. "Seriously, was that necessary? If you're hungry, you could have just asked, you know. Stealing isn't a good way to go about things, effective or not. In this case, not." She glowered at the Pokemon, reattaching her leg pouch. It watched her idly, kind of almost with disdain or disinterest, but there was a certain glint in its eye that said otherwise. "What? You thinking of trying again? Cause I wouldn't if I were you." Honoka reached into the bag and pulled out a pokepuff, tossing it casually to the Sneasel, who easily caught it. "See? Stealing won't do much for you except get you into trouble. I don't carry many valuable things on me while I'm out anyway." She patted the belt under the waist of her jacket. "My Pokemon being the one exception. Those are very valuable to me."Those words made the Sneasel stop and look up from munching on the puff. It stopped chewing and stared at her, mouth still full. She met its gaze steadily, making a point with her gaze after what she just said. The Sneasel looked back at the puff, still not chewing, and then back at her, and back at the puff again. It swallowed then, seeming to be considering something. Some Pokemon were just looking for a home, and this Pokemon seemed like maybe it had had one before. Sure, sometimes Sneasel were notorious for being sticky fingered, but those that weren't raised with trainers still knew how to forage for themselves. This one seemed to be resorting to stealing from travelers and trainers, making Honoka think that maybe it had had somewhere to call home before. Maybe it just needed a new one, but didn't know how to go about it. Anyone that would abandon a Pokemon that didn't want to leave was trash to her anyway. "I'm no psychic, but I'm willing to get you're not used to living out here. Or maybe you are, but you didn't get used to it by choice." She crouched down, bracing her folded arms on the tops of her knees. "Whether someone left you out here, or you ran away from a crappy trainer, or whatever, if you have to resort to stealing to find food, this wasn't where you grew up. Though you seem to be pretty good at it all the same." She reached into her jacket and pulled out a Pokeball. The Sneasel had stuffed its face with the rest of the puff by snow, and was finishing chewing as it stared at the little orb in her hand. "How do you feel about a fresh start? I'm willing to look past the fact you tried to steal from me. You were only trying to survive, right?"The Sneasel regarded her with guarded curiosity. Could it? Could it go back to a trainer to risk being abandoned again? Part of it wanted nothing more than a shot at a second chance. It still hurt that its last trainer had abandoned it, and frankly, it didn't know how it felt about this one seeing right through it. The past was a painful thing for it, but still. There was that one golden chance it had stopped thinking about, sitting right in front of it, ready for the taking. The Pokemon would creep forward, obviously still considering, and would tentatively reach out a hand to the Pokeball. Did it dare take the chance? @tag - words: 745 - notes MADE BY VEL OF GS Catching the Sneasel
