HAND ON HEART, PROMISING I'LL NEVER GO On the road for a year now, Damian originally hails from Fortree in Hoenn. Having finished with a degree in aeronautical engineering (with an associated minor in space development), one of his ultimate dreams is to travel to the stars. Well, at least until one factors in the fact that he’s also got the power of Aura—which he normally won’t reveal unless specifically asked (but then again, who’d believe him when he says that he can see those hazes around both human and Pokémon?).
Unlike most who’ve been travelling since the age of ten, Damian only started his journey a year prior at the age of twenty. Put it down to him wanting to get his life together and finish his studies for that, as he values knowledge first and foremost. Now that he’s officially a year out in the world, everything is still a learning process for him.
FRIENDSHIPS On the friendship side of things, he misses the company of the two idiots, Michael Carter and Arthur Vossler—his best friends who’d stuck by him through thick and thin back when he was still in Hoenn. When it comes to making new friends, Damian’s a bit on the guarded side—because with his own Aura abilities, he can pick up intentions that are emanating from a fellow human being.
Once someone, anyone, gains his trust, he’ll be there through thick and thin. That’s already happened with the two idiots, so topping that would mean that he’d have to get involved in some kind of major occurrence for that to happen. While he’s not mistrusting by any means, it’s more on the fact that he prefers to err on the side of caution.
If you meet him at a party, however, be prepared to face another side of him: one that only emerges after he’s had quite a number of drinks. Strangely enough, he has a rather high tolerance for alcohol, and has witnessed so much shit going down when others are drunk, he’d make a perfect secret-keeper, sober or not.
HATESHIPS It takes quite a lot to get on Damian’s bad side, due to his seemingly infinite patience. But the saying about those who smile the most are the scariest when angry is also true with him—nobody’s seen him lash out violently. At least, not yet anyway.
Pray that nobody ever finds out how scary he is when he’s really, truly, very angry. Not on a spur-of-the-moment kind of violent reaction, the kind that’s been simmering for a very long time and is just waiting for the right (or wrong?) time to explode outwards.
LOVESHIPS Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Damian’s afraid of broaching the topic when it’s brought up. He didn’t know that he’d be left behind in the dust by his ex-boyfriend… well, it was more like a summer love fling, to be honest—but he’d fallen rather hard for the guy in question.
He’s also gotten a reputation (back in his university at least) of being a heart breaker; but only because he’d politely rejected so many girls who wanted to be “more than friends” with him. He finds the idea of being romantically involved with a girl somewhat strange, if not outright alien—his preferences are definitely more on the same side of the gender spectrum as he is.
Although, with that summer love fiasco, he’s not sure if he’s ready to be in a relationship again. That, and he’s a demiromantic; on the off-chance that he does love someone, it’ll be only after an emotional bond’s been formed.
