What lies ahead
Last time they've been here, there wasn't much to speak about, besides their meeting with Sol Chance and his Pokemon, Eevee. Perhaps now that it has been some time, and with the dawn of a new day, this place could be filled with some Pokemon.
He needed to catch at least something from here, one or two Pokemon will suffice just fine, he didn't really care what kind of Pokemon he could catch here, to be honest, so long as they caught his interested he was fine with almost anything. This time he wasn't alone as before, as besides his trusty Starter walking alongside him, strapped two his belt were two Pokeballs filled with a Pokemon inside; an Oshawott he had caught in the fiasco back in the Lake of Ruins --he repressed a shudder, thinking back about that scary Feralgtor-- and the other after defeating him near Baltis City one stormy afternoon.
Perhaps he could let them out today if he managed to see a Pokemon, give them some training experience. A bead of sweat trailed down the side of his head as he remembered the two personalities of these Pokemon, and he sighed deeply. He'd have his work cut out for him trying to bring them around and work as a team, as one was the definition of a Pirate, boisterous and with a penchant for stealing objects, and the other is what you'd call a Tsundere and a troublemaker that didn't want anyone's help unless they wanted a fist in the face.
Still, he was confident in himself that he could bring them around and show them how to cooperate with each other. He was a Trainer after all, what kind of respected Pokemon Trainer goes around with a band of Pokemon that can barely coexist, let alone listen to their Trainer's commands?
Shaking his head, he kept walking forward, keeping his eyes peeled for any sort of Pokemon that might come around the corner or out of the woodworks.

What lies ahead
"A Carbink?" Vincent rose an eyebrow when he spotted the Jewel Pokemon not too far away from him, who eyed him curiously but didn't seem to do much of anything since he wasn't attempting to do anything to it. Even so, he took out his Pokedex to scan it just to have it in his encyclopedia for future reference. After it was done he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the page of this Pokemon. "It has slept underground for hundreds of millions of years since its birth. It's occasionally found during the excavation of caves." He parroted the text, his eyebrow raising with each word.
So it was a duo-typing, Rock- and Fairy-Type. A strange combination for sure, and one with many weaknesses to certain types. One such Type, the Steel-Type, made him remember a boy he met before, Titanium -Call me Ti- and how he specialized on Steel-Type Pokemon. Shaking his head, he gave the Carbink another once-over before moving forward to find another Pokemon, his Litten loyally still walking by his side.

WILD POKEMON SPAWN SABLEYE level four, male/female, keen eye or stall leer, scratch, foresight
This Sableye was clearly a clown in a past life. This Sableye will quickly find itself the 'class clown' of any group it finds itself in, and is fond of practical jokes and physical comedy alike. The trainer who comes to possess this Pokemon will find themselves the leader- and often unfortunate victim- of a particularly clever Pokemon with an eye for mischief, though it is important to note that this is not born out of any particular malice. Quite the opposite, actually, as the Sableye just wants to make people laugh and attention for itself. In fact, if it plays a prank on you, you might even say it likes you! In addition to pranks, the Sableye has a habit of miming other individuals motions and movements, almost like a shadow, and almost like it is playfully mocking them.

What lies ahead
An hour passes.
Since they passed the Carbink, Vincent and Cinder haven't really come across any other Pokemon thus far, and while the human was becoming slightly annoyed, the other was getting more and more bored as time went by with nothing better to do than sightsee or count the grass.
Right as they passed a broken stone awning, Cinder stopped moving for a few seconds as he thought he heard someone shushing somewhere nearby, his hearing easily catching the noise. Looking around in alarm, he soon spotted something shiny at the corners of his eyes.
Feeling like something was wrong, Vincent stopped and looked back, seeing Cinder looking at something into the darkness. He rose a brow in curiosity at this strange behavior. "Is there something wrong, Cinder?" He approached his Pokemon and looked to where he was seeing before he blinked again.
"Are those... gems?" Vincent asked, while Cinder just blinked his eyes twice in confusion, the Fire Cat Pokemon curiously approached the darkness where he could see two round-ish jewels twinkling merrily thanks to the small amount of light reaching the darkened room. Once he was close he stopped, sat back on his haunches and tilted his head to the side, seeing his image being reflected back upon those two gems. He lifted a paw next, reaching forward to try and perhaps touch and grab one of those gems, but stopped dead when a grin seemed to cut through the darkness below the gems.
He stared, eyes wide open as a chill settled down his spine as that grin widened until it looked like it could split a face in two, then from the darkness came two claws like protection aimed to grab him, and he screamed in fright before hightailing out of there, earning a loud bark of laughter from his Trainer.
If he had stayed, he'd seen the sun finally dipping to a low enough point to shine more light inside the room, and spot the perpetrator of such a prank. (Heh heh heh!) The form revealed itself to be that of a Sableye as he laughed his ass off at the retreating Litten. (That was hilarious!) He looked up at the human standing before him who was still laughing, and if possible the smirk on the Sableye's face turned wider at seeing someone that appreciated his joke.
He had seen the male looking annoyed, judging by the really awesome bitch face that he had crossed his features, and figured out that he could do something to make that frown change into a grin. He was pleased to note that his stunt had paid off, albeit with the Cinder being the center of his prank.
He'll make sure to apologize to the Fire Cat Pokemon later once he saw it again.
"Oh boy, it's been a long time since I've seen such an expression on his face." Vincent rubbed his eyes, feeling moisture gather at the corners since he was laughing so hard. Looking up he just barely caught the Sableye seemingly mimicking his movements. He snorted in amusement before kneeling down and grinning at the Darkness Pokemon. "So you like to commit mischief, eh?" The Sableye grinned then and nodded enthusiastically in agreement.
"But do you still like to battle?" Sableye frowned for a second before the Cherise grin returned to his face and nodded again. Of course, he liked to battle other Pokemon! Most Pokemon liked to do so, and it also was an excuse for him to act as mischievously as he pleased without any repercussions! There was also another reason, all the attention would be on him once he took the stage!
Winning or losing, he didn't really care about that, so long as he got to pull a few laughs all was right with the world.
Besides, it would be a good time to get out of this place, as most of the Pokemon here had started to get annoyed or bored with his antics.
He wasn't doing it out of malice or anything like that, he just wanted to make them laugh yet he barely got a snicker or two from them now, and they seemed more annoyed at his presence than amused by it now, so leaving wouldn't certainly be too bad.
That, and this human seemed to appreciate his mischievous nature, which was also a big plus.
Grinning wider, the Human stood up and unclipped an empty Pokeball from his belt, ignoring the incredulous look from Cinder who had finally managed to come back after a while and saw the whole thing. Was his trainer actually crazy to get such a troublesome Pokemon like that one?!
(Vincent, you can't be serious about this!) The Human turned to look at his Pokemon, but all he did was merely grin in amusement before turning back to the Darkness Pokemon, once again spotting him mimicking his movements, even going as far as to grab a random rock in a facsimile of a Pokeball.
"Welcome to the team then, buddy." He was. Cinder groaned in dismay as he palmed the side of his face with a paw, now he had to deal with a Pirate, a Tsundere and a Clown. Arceus help him, he'd get gray fur before he even managed to evolve to the next stage at this rate.
