"Gastrodon! Gastro!"
"S-S-Slow down, Gastrodon-- I... I c-can't keep u-up!"
Cooper was running as fast as his short legs could carry him. Even with an occasional gust of wind from Cheerie and his extra stamina from his Morph side, this sea slug was REALLY fast in the river beside Cooper. Conch breached out of the water behind the Western Gastrodon Cooper had met moments earlier, with Cyto flying behind- Chip was perched atop Conch's head, having the time of her life on the Wailmer. He had little time to glance behind to make sure his friends were keeping up, especially with the apparent urgency the Gastrodon had.
Only a few minutes ago, Cooper had bumped into another bug morph named Edrian. After butting heads for a moment, they'd run into both Leon and Kaid, whom found a panicked Gastrodon by the riverbed. One thing led to another, and now the group of four were chasing after the Pokemon that seemed to need help- and quick.
Finally, the sea slug began to slow down, calling out to the group behind. A small treehouse of sorts could be seen above- but it seemed to be rather high-tech with all sorts of funnels, gutters, and gadgets prying out and flashing with a multitude of colors every now and then. Cooper flopped onto the ground to catch his breath, his Pokemon soon crowding around. Conch wailed from his spot in the river, earning a sigh from the Solosis.
"...I--I guess t-t-this is where it w-wanted us to go?" Cooper spoke, pushing himself to his feet, should his friends catch up. The boy eyed the mailbox beside the outcasted treehouse- "DR. LOGAN" it read. Some sort of doctor, like Kaid? Cooper tilted his head, turning to the others and gesturing to the building. "W-Well, l-l-ladies first." He spoke with a tinge of sarcasm, earning a smile and chuckle from Cheerie. Now that he was getting to know some of these guys, Cooper had began to come out of his shell.

"Where is this guy even taking us?" Edrian asked aloud to the group. They had been following a Gastrodon for quite a while now. At least it felt like quite a while. It felt like not two minutes earlier, Edrian had run into another bug morph, around his age too. That being said, the two went at it slightly, until running into yet another morph name Leon. Three morphs in one day, one of them a fellow bug, what were the odds? However, the Servine morph wasn't alone, he was with another man, Kaid, this one completely human. They said they found a Gastrodon close by looking very shaken up. So now here they were chasing an oddly fast blue slug. Edrian while slow normally due to his lack of sensical feet, was keeping a good pace with the others, who besides Cooper, all had longer legs. All the while, Fennika was prompting Edri to go faster, though the teen wanted to save his energy in case this Gastrodon needed help fighting off a predator or something of the sort. That, however, didn't seem to be the case, as the recently formed group came to a tree house the name "Dr. Logan" on the mailbox. "Oooh," mused Edrian. There was all sort of metal tubes, gizmos, and gadgets poking out of the house, none of which Edrian knew what they did. Still, he was fascinated. He then tripped over Cooper, too busy staring at the house to watch his step. After pulling himself to his feet, Cooper noted this must've been the place. "Yeah, I guess so," he remarked. The two bug boys waited for the others, then Cooper offered for the ladies to go first. "Wait, but we're all guys," Edrian pointed out. His argument was shot down when the Yanma smiled and made its way in. "Oh." Fennika stared at Edrian a while, head cocked to the side as if to ask if her trainer was even thinking right now. "What?" She shook her head and gave the joltkid a quick peck before following the other female pokemon. "Guess I deserved that." Edrian laughed before moving to follow his Fletchling inside.

Fetch Quest Leon Solis Party - Ember Lvl 8, Choco Lvl 5, Nocturne Lvl 6
Today was turning out to be quite the hectic scenario. First, Leon found Kaid with a Gastrodon shaking like a freezing Sewaddle, then he found the “Bug Brothers” busting knuckles and had to divide them up, and now he was on a high speed chase with the previously mentioned Gastrodon. Leon was just trying to wrap his head around the Gastrodon’s story. “He needs help!” it kept crying, but the boy was confused as to who HE was.
The boy, being a Servine Morph, was able to run at high speeds with ease, as long as he was around sunlight. Leon jumped over logs, avoided obstacle and managed to keep up with the Sea Slug with surprising ease, all while holding his three pals with his vines. Ember was holding on for dear life, Choco was swinging about, joyous as ever, and Nocturne was… well, he was sleeping. No surprise there. He’d been doing that since he reached the gift from his hometown. Daylight, dead as a doorknob, night sky, unbelievable energy and battle spirit. Leon had mixed opinions over the small owl pokemon, but he still enjoyed him.
Upon arriving to a small treehouse, Leon looked at the bug friends, the Joltik one tripping over the Grubbin one. Leon looked up at the highly sophisticated treehouse and began to rub his chin, pondering what exactly was going here. Leon examined the mailbox to see the surname of this doctor as Logan… Or was that his first name? Strange.
The man looked at Cooper with raised eyebrows. “So did the Gastrodon at least fill you in on what’s going on?” At “Ladies first”, Leon looked to Choco and set her down gently. The fluff ball only made a weird squeak as it flew up to starts, wagging it’s tail all the way up

Kaid had simply strode into the dense forest to give his pokemon some exercise. Weasley had been frolicking around in the stream that ran along side the dirt path cutting its way through the thick foliage. Rolo the Ralts was simply staying close to Kaid's side while trying to keep pace, only breaking ranks to smell a blooming flower or a Berry ripe for picking. Then there was Outoto, the freshly caught Larvitar. The bugger kept trying to take massive bites out of every boulder or tree that looked hard enough. One time Outo had even tried biting a Snorlax that blocked the path. That was an interesting afternoon.
At one point Kaid had found a Gastrodon in obvious distress and tried to commune with it. It wasn't long before Kaid had bumped into Leon. The two of them talked for a bit and Exchanged pleasantries and then the next few minutes passed in the blink of an eye. A few things happened and finally ended with Kaid, Leon, Cooper, and a new little morph named Edrian chasing after the massive slug pokemon.
Eventually the group came to a small house that a certain doctor lived in. Hmm. If memory serves right, Dr. Logan is a well-known geologist in this area. "Well, I suppose we should just introduce oursel-" Kaid had said before Cooper jokingly said 'ladies first'. Someone's pokemon had quickly burst into the room followed by another from the new individual. Kaid sighed and followed suit. He called into the small house. "Doctor Logan? We saw your quest are you home?" Kaid closed his eyes, feeling out for his Aura to see if he was trying to hide or something like it.

FETCH QUEST MISSION START!
As the lady pokemon of the group climbed or flew up to the treehouse, Cooper turned around to the group, whom had all caught up by now. Cooper shrugged, just as confused as Leon was when the question of what exactly was going on with the sea slug came to light. Regardless, the team would follow the slug into the building.
Cooper was one of the first to step in when the group gathered in front of the building. The desks and benches in the treetop laboratory could only be described as archaic. They were like something out of the 1950's. But all of the modern equipment in it was state-of-the-art. There were stainless steel centrifuges and PCR machines, a huge walk-in refrigerator and several water baths. There was a double door autoclave and two enclosed areas with flow-hoods, and a walk-in shower for chemical decontamination and several canisters of gases. Cooper's guess was that it was some kind of biological science laboratory. He had seen similar when his loyalties were elsewhere.
"Oh, thank you Dorian-- just in time, and..." A tall man spoke to the Gastrodon that had escorted the four trainers to the treehouse. The doctor was forty-something human man with grey streaking through his peppering hair and a lifetime of wrinkles and scars telling a story of ruggedness, adventure, and too many close calls to count. Cooper tilted his head, making brief eye contact with the aging man. "I apologize for Dorian here interrupting your dalliances, trainers, but we are in urgent need of assistance." The man looked to the side, dejected. The Gastrodon, Dorian, whined in concern. "W-w-with what? Y-y-you have an e-evolved Gastrodon, t-t-though, and most of us are just b-beginners..." Cooper began.
"That's exactly it. Come, if you would." The man gestured to the group to follow. Should everyone follow suit, sometimes manuvering and ducking beneath numerous pipes flowing with strange liquid. Cooper was the first to enter the back room, a soft gasp escaping his lips at what he saw. The room had a strong smell, as if it were cleaned several dozen times with disinfectant. A bed sat low to the ground, the frame baring the signs of rust, yet the mattress was thick, with several blankets piled atop a pale, shivering Quagsire. "This is Melody- she was my first Pokemon, and still my most trusted pokemon. I've had her since she hatched here in our lab." The man explained, Cooper's expression sinking with some sympathy.
"...In the winter, a virus tends to go around in the jungle, and I'm usually tasked with curing pokemon and keeping it in check from spreading." Cooper nodded along, glancing down at the water Pokemon once more. There was a little more exposition to be had, however. "...Now it's beginning to hit humans as well. Most of my co-workers fell with a milder version of it, and now they've had to leave. I specialize in Ground Pokemon, so going into the forest myself to get the needed herb to cure Melody is..." A pause. "...Difficult."
"The sickness is already on day three, and I... I can't stand to see my partner like this. I understand if I'm asking too much, but... I need someone to go into the deep jungle and fetch me the plant I need to make a cure." The doctor pleaded, an air of hopelessness still around Cooper. The boy glanced back to the group, determination crossing his expression. Words weren't needed from the Grubbin Morph. Surely they'd help, right?
"The pokemon in the region the Otredil herb grows is surrounded by hostile grass and posion-type Pokemon." The doctor continued, finding it fair to warn the team what they were getting into before it was too late. "While it has great healing properties, it's pollen can agitate the wild Pokemon in the area. I've tried and tried again to get it with my team, but I can't get near it." The man sat down, a hand on his head.
"...Y-you guys thinking w-what I'm t-t-thinking also?" Cooper blinked, turning and looking back to the group. Cheerie chirped with a fierce glare, ready as her trainer was to tackle the jungle and perhaps save the ill water Pokemon's life.

Snapped out of his intrigue with the sci-fi tree house, Edrian swiftly made his way up the tree, hoping to beat Cooper inside. Apparently he hadn't completely let go of their previous debate on the better bug, and obviously, Edrian being first inside would mean Joltik was the superior. Agin Edrian was taken aback by the combination of old and futuristic feel as if a space show like Poke-Trek or the Star-Mons movies came to life. This time Ed couldn't take a second to take in the environment, as Fennika was already poking her beak in everything she could find. The bird was quickly scooped up by the blonde bug. After retrieving his bird friend, Edrian made his way back to the rest of the group, finding them already talking to a tall middle-aged man, no doubt Dr. Logan, who was in desperate need of help. Edrian's usual grin popped up, always up for helping those in need. Cooper, however, did bring up a valid point, if this man had a fully evolved Pokemon, how could a group of beginners help. The team followed the doctor for their answer. The room they were brought into had a very strong smell in the air, eliciting a cough from Edri. He knew that smell, it was the same as when his dad would clean the house with all sort of sprays, only multiplied by ten. They then came across a sickly looking Quagsire. For once, Edrian's bright smile subsided, listening intently as the doctor told his story about the virus going around infecting people and Pokemon alike. He looked over at Fennika, thinking how heartbroken he would be seeing his partner like that. This brought on a small wave of tenderness, causing the joltkid to give the Fletchling by his side a gentle scratch behind her neck. She kept her own eyes focused on the sick Pokemon, but still ruffled her feathers appreciatively. Soon the reason for relying on a different team came up. The place where the root for a possible cure grew was surrounded by hostile wild Pokemon, and grass and poison types at that. Judging by the doctor's seemingly water-centric team, and likely not wanting to leave Melody alone for too long only made sense. It worked out double well, at least for the two bug teens. Flying and Bug types tend to deal with grass types rather well. "Hell yeah I am!" Edrian cheered in response to the Grubboy, trying to lighten the mood and rally everyone else. Fennika gave her own chirp of approval, a rarity to say the least, usually able to convey everything with stares and pecks. Now both bug teens were looking to the other two for their responses.

Fetch Quest Leon Solis Party - Ember Lvl 8, Choco Lvl 5, Nocturne 6
Leon walked up the boarded ramp to enter inside after the two bug boys race for entry, making the Servine boy sigh. Upon his entry, Leon notes the crazy equipment scattered around the room. He was certain that some of his friends would most likely not recognize some of these machines, but Leon himself had a bit more computer knowledge than the others. There was a fossil analyzer, a supercomputer, a transfer station, and a really big machine that looked incredibly fancy. It had a touch screen and a dispenser. Some may not know this machine but Leon knew it well… It was a coffee machine… Though, this was not all that he recognized.
After entrance, a lot of answers became apparent. The Gastrodon’s name is Dorian, who was the doctor’s pokemon, a man in his fifties, sixties, maybe even seventies. He was seeking trainers to assist him in work that he could no longer do. That made sense, since it seemed he was out of hands to do it for him. What Leon didn’t expect was the sight of the Quagsire who looked so crushed and defeated in a bed. The noble’s heart cracked at the site and he couldn’t help but feel bad.
During the explanation, Leon could only think back to when he was younger, around the age of 17, when his poor Ember caught such a small little cold that stopped his fire. Leon was so scared it would never come back, so he slept in the nursery and waited for the second it did so the two could play again. Now, seven years later, he would do that again for any of his pokemon.
The Soon-to-be Gym Leader clenched his fists at the end of the explanation before throwing one up and holding it in front of his own face. “Doctor, me and my friends will do this. If not them, then I will.” He looked at the Quagsire and put his hands down. “If I were you, I’d be desperate for any help I could get to help my friend.” The Servine morph looked at Logan once more before bowing. “Please allow me to help you, as this is a personal matter I must prove.” The Morph stood up once more and looked back at his sleeping Rowlet, who had developed a bubble from his nose. Choco has a surprised look on it’s face, then suddenly started jumping with joy, as if this quest had suddenly become more interesting. Lastly was Ember himself, who was shaking in his boots, er, paws?
“Don’t worry, Ember, I’ll protect you” Leon picked up his fiery friend, placing him on his shoulder. “Alright, let’s get to work.” The trainer picked up the other two Pokemon with his vines, placing Nocturne on his shoulder and leaving Choco in the air, who enjoyed swinging from the vines with his tail. “I’ll return those Otredil herbs. Any idea what they look like?”
OOC: Finally, amiright?
