He’d put up two separate ads for two of the companions that he’d recently acquired, as he was in the market for some Flying-types (preferably).
He’d somehow lost one of his empty Pokéballs when it had accidentally fallen from his grasp as he was securing them into his jacket pockets—and after chasing said empty containment unit, he was more than a little shocked to see that the white button was glowing red—a sign that something had somehow, inconceivably, found its way inside it.
And when he popped it open to check what had crawled inside…
…his nose almost did a triple somersault backwards and had landed rather violently in the nether regions of “nope” when he saw just what had emerged. After whipping out his Pokédex and checking what it was, the very first thing that he’d done was recall the Trubbish back inside, before securing it with several layers of masking tape.
Not even that helped to blanket out the powerful odor that was emanating from it.
Out of desperation, he threw up several ads online; and hoped that someone would come and take it from him—all of his companions had eventually approached the Riolu and had conveyed their unanimous disapproval of the malodorous stench and to ‘get rid of it as fast as possible’ to Damian, and he couldn’t help but agree with all of them.
Hell, even he was starting to get migraines from hanging around the taped-shut containment unit.
Eventually, someone had responded to the ad that he’d thrown up and hoping that this individual was a little saner in the head when it came to dealing with Trubbish, communicated with the interested party, and explained that he was all the way in Lacaille dealing with business of an unavoidable nature.
Hoping that they would understand the necessity for the trade to take place in this particular city, he waited for an answer, secretly wishing that it would be favorable.

It was over coffee that Zhee came across the ad while scrolling through her phone. The girl felt a thump of excitement in her chest as her eyes scrolled across the words. A Poison-type! And a ridiculously cute one, at that! Zhee wondered why anyone would want to give up such a treasure, but then again, Rin was handed off to her like she was nothing... Maybe there was a way to save this unwanted Trubbish, too.
Unlike how she got Rin, this person wanted to trade. Tch, this guy didn't even want this perfectly good Poison-type, why should she entrust another one of her own Pokemon into his care? Then again.. Most people didn't appreciate Poison Pokemon the same way she did.. So by giving him one of her Pokemon that he did like would ensure that both Pokemon would be well loved and looked after. With that in mind Zhee reached out to the person who posted the ad.
After some brief communication, he seemed genuinely interested in the little Litwick she had recently captured. It was a fragile little thing with no confidence in itself, and would need to be nurtured. She made sure to include this information and was glad to find that this didn't discourage the other trainer. with that the trade was set!
Now all she had to do was make it to Lacaille City to meet in person for the trade... Where was that again?
Zhee and Rin had set off soon after, the little weasel keeping up with Zhee's determined (and somewhat excited) pace. She made sure to keep in constant contact with the trade partner named Damian with updates on where she was and such. Every message exchanged seemed to be filled with a bit more desperation to make the trade happen, so Zhee did her best to hurry on. Deep down she worried he would simply abandon the Pokemon and call off the trade, but thankfully that did not happen before Zhee reached the city.
Finding the city wasn't the hard part. Finding her way through it was another thing entirely.
Zhee: Hey Damian, I've made it to Lacaille. Where would you like to meet up?
NAME — Rin LEVEL — 5 SPECIES — Sneasel TYPE — Your Dark/Ice EGG GROUP — Field ABILITY — Keen Eye HELD ITEM — none GENDER — Female HEIGHT — 2' 11" WEIGHT — 59lbs MOVE LIST — Scratch, Leer, Taunt, Crush Claw PERSONALITY — Rin is a Pokemon with a heart of ice. She seems to dislike everything that moves, even her own trainer. She always has a nasty comment to make, and is very quick to anger and fighting if insulted. Underneath it all, Rin is a Pokemon that has been rejected time and time again. Her nasty attitude has sent her jumping from one trainer to the next and she has no trust for people, after all, all they've ever done is give up on her. Rin does not make friends easily, but if a teammate is a good fighter they will at least have Rin's respect. This Sneasel is not a fan of Zhee's endless affection, but she does find it very fun to egg her trainer on into making bad decisions or hurting other's feelings. NAME — Oz LEVEL — 5 SPECIES — Horsea TYPE — Water EGG GROUP — Water 1 & Dragon ABILITY — Sniper HELD ITEM — none GENDER — Male HEIGHT — 1' 7" WEIGHT — 20lbs MOVE LIST — bubble, smokescreen PERSONALITY — Horsea is a spitfire of a Pokemon (it's funny because he spits water, ha). Always ready for a challenge and to prove himself. He dislikes the stigma that Horsea are considered cute and trains hard for the day he can become a more intimidating looking Seadra. He dislikes Pokemon that are all talk and no action, and has a tendency to act before thinking. Horsea would rather ask for forgiveness than permission and may even disobey his Trainer if they are taking too long to make a decision. As he gets stronger, he thrill of battle will never fade, but perhaps enough loses will teach this Horsea that it isn't always about winning. Still, with his ultimate goal of evolving ever in mind, this Horsea always gives it his all. Damian Moreau
