MAYBE IT'D BE FASTER IF THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED WAS ME.
Arthur felt that it was high time that he should start acting like a more proper trainer and fill up the slots on his personal team. While he could easily just get Pokemon from his family members, it wasn't exactly a fulfilling experience. And he supposed there was some fun in the randomness of it all--what Pokemon was he going to find next? How would they be like? It was certainly a challenge to encounter Pokemon that were clearly not suited for the kind of battling that he desired, but he supposed some good things can come out of it too. He would like to believe that he could learn from it.
Well, all of those reflecting thoughts came into a halt when he was in the forest itself. It wasn't a jungle, but he still felt uncomfortable being in a perceived wilderness. He only had two Pokemon with him that he had yet to properly train, so if they encountered something particularly strong, he wasn't sure if they'd be prepared for it. Sure there was his powers as a last resort, but...yeah. He'd rather not think of what would happen if he were to faint out here. That one time when he wanted to test the limits of his strength took a heavy toll on him, and he remembered that he couldn't get out of bed for a few days. Nope, not again.
"(So what kind of Pokemon are you looking for, Master?)"
"Preferably not a flying type." he said, which was the first thing that came to mind. Right now both of his Pokemon were of the same typing, so if they encountered a Rock type or an Electric type, that would be disastrous. He needed to balance the typing better, so he figured that a Grass Pokemon might be a good start.
