The woman sighed irritably. “You three? Capable trainers?” She glanced at Honoka’s Dratini; one simple look was all it took for the woman to deduce the Dratini's strength. “I beg to differ. You’ll get your Dratini killed if you send it to fight,” she said with a shake of her head. “What’s happening right now is too much for any of you to handle. Do not try to be a hero.” She looked Elinda over before examining Doug as he furiously called his grandfather and mother. The woman waited patiently until he finished, but once he refused to follow her instructions, her brow furrowed in frustration. Whatever patience she had was quickly evaporating.
“Your mother and grandfather will try to escape the city if they’re smart,” the well-dressed woman said. “I’m not asking again. Get out of here. Now. If you don’t, I’ll remove you all myself.” It was clear that she wasn’t speaking empty words. She looked like she meant business, and she wasn’t afraid to act.
“You have ten seconds to leave the area; your time starts now.”

Something wasn't right, but Honoka still had no idea who these people were. They didn't seem like good people, though, if the fighting going on around them was any indication. She heard Doug mutter something that sounded like "Crux" but as of now that meant nothing to her. She'd run across her fair share of nasty trainers in Kalos, but never anything like this. She scoffed at the woman's dismissal of her Dratini, saying she'd get him killed. Both of them were plenty capable, having been through a fair amount already, but she didn't do anything. Instead, she watched Elinda. By now, she had a trust in the older trainer that stemmed from her being both reckless but competent. She'd watch Elinda and follow her lead, or well, try to anyway. The gloves were a curious additive. Why put them on now? And she seemed almost too calm for the situation, honestly, making part of the younger blonde wonder if she'd seen something siilar before or if she was just that calm ALL the time. It was still hard to tell with her, honestly. She listened to the older woman ask the lady in the suit a question; why did they have to leave, and presumably who were they. That was something Honoka now was finding herself wondering. They were starting to make it obvious that they weren't the good guys, and though she didn't have as many battles under her belt, she knew the sound of the threat in the suit's voice. And the fact she was alone meant she was really confident in her Pokemon, whether she was being overconfident in them or not. Her attention would snap to Doug, then, as he started to panic about his parents. A phone call later and they found out his father was ok but his mom was missing. Honoka became worried for him, even though they'd only really met an hour or so ago, and she hadn't even told him her name. Oh! Her name! "Honoka. Are your parents ok? Do you wan't some help finding your mom?" She forgot momentarily about the purple suit lady. She had a mother who was routinely ill, so she more than understood the worry, especially in this kind of chaos. "We'll find her, Doug, don't worry. Maybe her phone battery went out or something." Concern was etched across Honoka's features, and she found herself clutching her bag of leftovers with one hand to her chest in worry for him and his mom, the other arm wrapping comfortingly around her Dratini out of habit. Her whip would bounce idly against her hip from this motion, having previously been forgotten, making her remember it was there and making her feel like she wasn't totally powerless. It was part of why she had taken it up, after all. MADE BY VEL OF GS

We're painted red to fit right in Not good. While Elinda wanted to answer Doug's earlier question this was neither the time nor the place - the last thing she wanted was any of their names to be known to people perfectly willing to openly attack a city like this. She'd already had to flee one region to keep her family safe and that wasn't something Elinda was particularly looking forward to doing again. Unfortunately, though, that was where things got complicated here. The boy had his priorities straight, more than Elinda ever did in the past. He knew what mattered and wasted no time contacting his family, and it came as no small relief to the blond both to know that his father was both in good health and with a capable Pokemon to protect him if it came down to it. Volcarona were not Pokemon to be taken lightly, often requiring dedication and effort comparable to evolving some of the more powerful Dragon types - any trainer who knew what they were doing would think twice before challenging one and those who were unaware likely had a painful lesson coming their way. The fact that Mei wasn't responding to attempts to reach her, though, had Elinda frowning slightly. Given family history and more specifically the lessons her father had likely tried to instill in the woman the blond would've assumed her first reaction to all of this would be to try and get away from the conflict, dragging as many people to safety with her as possible. Mei had been strict but usually with a good head on her shoulders, not at all prone to the kind of rash action Elinda had been in the past nor the mistakes that came with it. So what was it stopping her from picking up a phone, likely knowing it was her family? Family that could be in trouble and needing her help, for all she knew? That said, it seemed that Doug himself was prone to such action as he quite clearly stated his intent before beginning to head deeper into the city and towards the ensuing chaos as the woman with Team "Crux" gave them ten seconds to leave. Which, of course, practically obligated Elinda to stay as she would've expected the same had the positions been reversed with Mei and one of her own kids. Oh, there were going to be words had with him if they made it out of here in one piece. "He will. You won't." Elinda said, words directed squarely at Honoka as the older blond kept her attention squarely on the other adult, Beldum's rapt attention focused on her as well. For the moment the blond felt somewhat secure in that she knew exactly why the Steel type was watching her so intently - the moment she made even a remotely threatening gesture nearly three hundred pounds of metal would rush her like a guided artillery shell, intending to either catch the woman's arm or render a thrown Pokeball useless by cracking it and trapping the Pokemon inside. This wasn't their first rodeo, and she doubted that this woman was expecting anything beyond a relatively fair street battle if it came down to them resisting - not many people ever considered anything more than that. "These people will not hesitate to hurt you given a reason. Get out of the city, I fully intend to do so myself once I know Doug and his mother are safe." Elinda continued, speaking quickly to try and get the point across before ten seconds had passed. She'd no doubt that Doug and Honoka were capable enough to look out for themselves and probably wouldn't find a single grunt or two more than an adequate challenge if someone picked a fight with them elsewhere, but this wasn't the time or place. None of them were ready for an opponent akin to a Team admin. That said, though.... Elinda was making a point to memorize every detail of the other woman as she hadn't been kind enough to provide her name. It was more than a little odd that the local police hadn't gotten involved yet from the sound of things in the distance, but she would make a point to find out who these people were and why they were here once this was all over.

What the f-? The reply came a little late, but Doug nodded regardless, storing the name in his memory for later. His lips grew taut at her offer for help, uncertain as to whether he should accept her help or not. The faster he could locate his mom the better, sure, but he city did not look safe at all; he had just met her, could he really let her risk her neck to help his family? Elinda took the decision off his (and Honoka's hands), and though the boy preferred to not have the girl risk her neck for him, he couldn't help but feel that telling her not do something wouldn't do much. That, and his pride burning in his stomach at the thought of being looked after. He clicked his tongue, trying to focus; who the hell cared, if the woman was determined to help him find his mom, good. He didn't know how effective her order to Honoka would be, but whatever, that wasn't his decision. If the girl decided to come along and help, good. Strength in numbers and all that junk. The lady in purple, however, was intent on putting a stop to any plans they may have. It was now that the boy was beginning to realize the woman wasn't just a bystander offering sane advise. She... was actually threatening him? The boy slowly turned his gaze towards the woman, his body swinging to face her. Axew growled lowly while on top of his head, having perceived the woman's threat. Blue embers flowed around her fangs as she bared her teeth at the woman. "I'll search for them anyways. Making sure, and what not." Was the boy's reply to the woman, his tone neutral as he waited for her to get out of his way. The woman gave them an ultimatum instead. " Ten. Move it." He said immediately while staring her down, height difference be damned. Axew echoed his words, blowing a puff of blue flares with a snarl.

“You are all fools,” the woman said before lifting her arm up into the air. A massive, draconic figure zipped through the sky before plummeting down towards the ground. Then, just before it hit the ground, it flapped its wings, sending powerful blasts of wind towards the group before landing on the ground with a resounding thud. It was a Dragonite and a very angry one at that. “Learn to pick your fights. If you can’t do that, you’ll do nothing but bring pain and suffering to your Pokemon, and you’ll never be able to call yourself a capable trainer,” the well-dressed woman stated before looking at the Dragonite. “Can you deal with them please?” The Dragonite nodded firmly and took an intimidating step forward. Her eyes burned with rage, and her fangs were bared in a vicious snarl. She let out a deafening, mighty roar. Her wings flared before swiping forward, sending a terrifyingly powerful blast of wind towards the group of three. It was strong enough to send all them flying backwards, Pokemon included, like ragdolls. It was an incredibly effortless maneuver on Dragonite’s part, yet there was still so much power behind it. Dragonite stepped forward afterwards, growling at the uncooperative group of trainers. “ This is seriously your last warning. Get out of here,” the well-dressed woman said, feeling oddly merciful. “Don’t even try to run deeper into the city. Dragonite will catch you.” Dragonite smirked toothily and gave an affirming nod. Honoka looked at Elinda, almost hard, trying to figure out what she knew, and why. The trainer had proved herself competent and trustworthy so far, so as much as Honoka didn't like being told what to do by people like the suit - or well in general - she was inclined to listen to Elinda on this. She didn't like it, and she was going to grill the older trainer on what was going on later, but she'd trust her all the same to make the right call. Especially as they got a look at the Dragonite that came blasting out of the sky. Or rather, as soon as they got knocked on their asses by the Dragonite that blasted out of the sky. This great big mean looking Dragonite flew down from...somewhere, she didn't know where, and the power of its wings threw them off their feet. Honoka landed on her back, legs bent, and her Dratini would follow her and slither a protective circle around his trainer as she sat up. She gave the Dragonite a deservedly wary look and put a hand on her Dratini, essentially calming him to prevent him doing anything without her say so. She looked over at Elinda and nodded slightly, and then her gaze returned to Purple Suit. "We're going, he doesn't need to bother." She wasn't about to return her Dratini to his Pokeball just in case, though. She stood, not bothering to dust herself off, and half turned, cocking her head at Elinda and Doug in a, 'Let's go' motion, and walked a few steps, making sure they were following behind. Judging from the other trainers fighting, and their initial resistance, Honoka had to wonder if they would be allowed to go free, or if the Purple Suit would send her goons after them, or what would happen there. On one hand, part of her was dying for a fight. On the other, as much as she was loathe to admit it, right now they were out of their league. A goon, though, yeah she could handle that just fine. We're painted red to fit right in This was very quickly going to get out of hand, Elinda saw that almost immediately following Doug's response to the admin's ultimatum. It wasn't something that she was necessarily not used to as much of her role in Obscuras had been reining in the less experienced and more hotheaded trainers with the goal of teaching them both self control and how to fight, but she would've never dreamed of bringing them to a situation like this one. It wasn't the kind of scenario you allowed anyone who was prone to snap decisions and rash action around, too many variables and too many ways for things to go wrong. Which was exactly what seemed to be happening here as Doug didn't take the woman's words as a warning - he seemed to take them as a challenge. At this rate he was going to get them all either hospitalized or outright killed, a sentiment that was only further hammered home by the next development. Raising her arm to the sky, the Crux woman's action would be quickly answered as any chance they may've had at resistance disappeared, a massive Dragonite dropping to slam into the street between the two parties. Elinda had been expecting the woman to be powerful as a trainer right from the start, but not to have a Pokemon that strong - Dragonite were not easy to raise and even more difficult to control. More importantly, though, the fact that it wasn't in a Pokeball meant this woman was more than brute force. She'd arrived to Vega expecting competent resistance and had planned for it in advance. Eyes snapping from the Dragon to Doug, Elinda began to approach the boy fully intending to physically drag him away by the back of his shirt's collar when the woman's Pokemon made its first show of force. Initially blown back by a couple of feet, Beldum rushing to press his considerable weight against her back allowed Elinda's feet to remain anchored in place even in spite of the hurricane force winds. Honoka didn't fare quite so well as her small frame was lifted and thrown back, Dratini slithering over to take a protective stance. The girl seemed to have arrived at the same conclusion that Elinda had as she stood up, undivided attention on the Dragonite. If nothing else it came as no small relief that the younger trainer seemed to be taking up the admin's relatively generous offer, all things considered - the woman didn't really have to bother negotiating with them at all. "You heard them. Your mom's not one to pick fights and they're letting people leave. If you want a full explanation you'll get it, but while we're leaving." Elinda started, nodding back to Honoka before turning her head around to look for Doug - or, presumably, where he'd been blown back to as the blond pulled the cell phone she kept for business calls out of a pocket and turned to begin approaching him.

What the f-? The boy's arms shot up to cover his face when a large, fat figure slammed into the soil between him and the pimp suited woman, tiny debris and small pieces of rock bouncing off his forearms as his gaze settled onto his new roadblock. And wasn't it a big, fat, angry road block if he ever saw one. "Figures." Muttered the boy as he narrowed his eyes, his teeth biting onto the inside of his cheek. Okay, a Dragonite. What could he do against that? The usual answer was run and don't look back, but the current circumstances made self-preservation a very low priority in the boy's list. Axew wasn't quite as driven however, her eyes wide as saucers as they fell on the massive dragon in front of them. What the hell. This was the first time she saw one a pokemon this strong outside of a gym, and needless to say, standing across from one that would eagerly blast you to pieces if allowed was nowhere near as cool an experience. She began to tug on her trainer's hair as if it were a joystick, trying to get him to move in the opposite direction, away from the thing. If Doug even felt the tugs, he did not comment or show signs of it, his eyes shifting between fat roadblock, skinny roadblock, and the path to the city. Then fat roadblock flapped its wings suddenly, sending them flying back without warning. Axew squealed in shock as they flipped across the air, hanging onto the boy's pink locks for dear life. I could shove my thumbs into its eyesockets. Those were never hard and if he did hard and for long enough it would definitely kill it. But before any of that he would have to close the distance between it and him, and survive whatever it could dish at close range in order to get to its face. Not promising odds, but it's an option.
The boy tucked his legs against his chest as these thoughts clouded his mind, his body flipping across the air again before he finally extended them, his legs touching the ground and scrambling for footing for a moment before finally settling. "I have so many better things that I could be doing right now." He hissed under his breath, lamenting getting trapped with this roadblock and her fatass, bigger roadblock. The woman that apparently knew him seemed to be keen on taking decisions for him; he did not appreciate it. "Put a hand on me and lose it." Snapped the boy harshly in anger, venom bubbling in his stomach as he stared at the woman in the purple suit acidly. If looks could kill... 'If fucking only.' He thought darkly as he turned away from the woman and her Dragonite, teeth grinding together as a vein pulsed visibly on his temple. Like he would believe anything a member of Crux had to say. " Fine. I'm leaving." He spat, shoving his hands into his jacket's pockets before falling in line behind Honoka, anger written all over his body. From his face, to his body language, to the visible veins on his temples, it looked like there wasn't a single muscle on his body that wasn't tensed. By contrast, Axew seemed to almost melt in relief when her trainer turned away from the Dragonite instead of escalating everything even further. Thanks every single god out there.

They said that they were leaving, but they had not left yet. The woman in the suit groaned and motioned to her Dragonite. "Get them out here," she grumbled. The Dragonite nodded and grinned evilly. Her wings flared again, and with a mighty roar, she conjured up a whirling tornado. It spun towards the group with unmatched speed, and it would inevitably crash into them. All three trainers would be at the tornado's mercy, and after being tossed and thrown apart for what seemed like hours, the tornado finally dissipated and dropped the three trainers in the middle of a destroyed park. Trash, debris, wrecked park furniture and more littered the once festive and beautiful park. All three trainers would be disoriented, confused and more than likely extremely pissed; it didn't seem likely either of them would be able to move for a couple of minutes after what they had just been through. Then, a floating creature zipped over to the group. It hovered over them, darting between Honoka, Elinda and Doug. "Are you dead? Are you dead? Are you dead?" it asked in a boyish voice. "Are you all sleeping? Why are you sleeping? There's a party going on!" It stopped and looked around at the destruction. "Well, there was a party, but then those mean people showed up!" It changed its train of thought quickly. "Do you need help? Do you need help? I can help!"OOC: Basically, Dragonite used Hurricane on all of you to blow you all away because you were all taking too long to actually leave the area. It's more of a non-lethal/damaging version of Hurricane, but there's still not much either of you can do against it. Either way, it looks like you three have a new friend!

Apparently, her word was not something this woman kept on a regular basis. They were leaving just like she wanted, but apparently that wasn't enough for her. She must have wanted them screaming and running as they left. Honoka couldn't think of any other logical reason for what the woman did as they were leaving. But on the other hand, they weren't exactly hurt. It could have gone much worse. That's what she told herself, anyway, as they were being tossed around by the Hurricane. And she may have been screaming a bit. What sensible person wouldn't? Her Dratini had wrapped himself around her as protectively around her as he could as they were falling...flying? What felt like a long time, but probably wasn't finally ended with them being dropped away from the festival and into an empty, destroyed park. Well, empty aside from refuse. Honoka landed on her side, her Dratini having been thrown from her and returned to his Pokeball for his safety so they wouldn't get separated. She groaned, bones aching at the landing, but nothing felt broken which was good. Just her pride, maybe. She rolled over onto her back and lay there a moment, letting everything settle. Before she could even start to get up, a voice called out to them. It was childish, kind of like a young boy, but changed tone quickly. She couldn't place what it was, and when she looked up and behind her, there was a strange Pokemon she had never seen before floating in the air. "A talking Pokemon?!" She twisted fast, yukata tangling under her, blonde hair falling messily over her shoulders, small twigs sticking out at odd angles. She eyed it with intense curiosity and slight wariness. "We're not dead, we're ok. What mean people? You mean the people that threw us out? Uh...yeah, we could use some help. Who are you?" She pushed herself up, sitting with her legs folded under one side of her, pushing her hair haphazardly out of her face. "I'm Honoka," she would offer, a little cautiously. MADE BY VEL OF GS

We're painted red to fit right in This was not going to end well. Elinda was getting the distinct feeling that Doug was going to harbor an intense dislike for her moving forward at the rate things were going, but to be honest she didn't particularly care about that in the here and now. There were bigger, more immediate problems at play - first and foremost being the boy's aggressive streak. The Crux admin was a secondary concern as she'd been quite open in her intent to let them leave. More alarming, though, was that none of this fit with what little Elinda could remember of the kid's parents. His father wasn't a fighter by a long shot, and while Mei didn't take shit she wasn't one to start fights, either. This was not the sight of someone who Elinda would have expected to be taught self control above all else given family history, and given her own history and the mistakes that went along with it the blond was extremely worried about the possibility that Doug might attempt something rash. It wasn't until Doug verbally announced his intent and turned around that Elinda found the knots in her shoulders relaxing and an audible sigh escaping her lungs. "Fair enough, and I did promise you an explanation." Elinda began, moving to follow the two younger trainers as they began moving down the street. As she did so, though, Elinda held her phone up as if to inspect the screen - at the same time activating the camera facing the user. While the majority of the screen merely showed the trainer her own face, though, what held her interest was the background over her shoulder and the two individuals they were leaving behind, a quick press of a button snapping a picture. Even as she did that, though, the image showed something else far more concerning as the Dragonite's wings began to lift and the Crux admin calmly spoke a handful of words. Beldum was the first to move, reacting even before Elinda had processed what was said and darting to his trainer's gloved hand a split second before she shoved the phone into a pocket where it would not be lost. The moment following that was chaos as the Dragonite's attack ripped through the street, lifting everyone present into the air. It'd been a long, long time since Elinda could remember directly being attacked in such a manner, but even prior experience didn't make it any less disorienting. The only thing that kept her from tumbling head over heels was Beldum, the Pokemon's magnetic body practically glued to the sap gloves Elinda was wearing and providing some small semblance of stability as the sound of roaring wind drowned out everything else around them. It was impossible to tell exactly how long it lasted, the only sign of the attack's end coming when the sensation of gravity returned - where everything else dropped, Elinda instead felt a sickening and painful tug of her shoulders as the rest of her body fell, yanking on her arms which were still being held up by Beldum. It was enough to make her eyes water and definitely something that she'd be feeling for days afterwards, but a quick glance of the ground several meters below made it an insignificant price to pay in comparison to alternative injuries. The only remaining question was what had happened to the others. While Beldum had managed to prevent what would've likely been far more severe injury he wasn't yet big or strong enough to keep all of her weight suspended in mid air for long, and after only a handful of seconds they both began to fall towards the ground - too fast for Elinda to really get a look at their surroundings but slow enough that broken bones were unlikely. Still more than a little painful as her feet hit the ground and her knees buckled under the sudden shock. Gloves released from Beldum's hold Elinda immediately found one of her hands automatically going up to a very sore shoulder and legs collapsing for a moment to regain their strength, but it was better than it could have been. Now that there was solid ground under her feet Elinda's sense of direction was starting to come back as well, and a flash of yellow in her peripheral vision along with an accompanying groan told her that Honoka was, at least for the moment, fine. Likely incredibly sore but there was no screaming or more obvious sign of intense pain, and she'd take what she could get. Taking a few moments to control her breathing and focusing on doing the same to her newfound physical aches and pains, the next line of business was making sure Doug had made the same trip along with them and was uninjured as well... until a third and very much new voice she hadn't heard before made itself known. Elinda's first and most logical thought was that some other bystander had gotten caught in the crossfire and sent along for a ride with them. Then Honoka spoke the strangest thing and Elinda's head snapped up in confusion. A Pokemon? More to the point a Pokemon Elinda had never seen before, and that didn't happen often. Nor had she ever heard of one capable of speaking human language. It was a small thing, but Elinda's initial instincts kept her wary - she wasn't sure why but something said this thing wasn't to be trifled with. By the same token, however, Honoka seemed to have the situation under control. The Pokemon seemed friendly enough and more interested in talking than doing much else, and if the younger trainer felt a connection there she could work with Elinda wasn't about to stop her. "Doug?" Elinda started, beginning to stand until a wave of dizziness halted all movement. Knees? Fine, but in pain. Arms? Also fine? Shoulders? Not so much. They didn't feel dislocated and Elinda had only minor difficulty moving her left arm, but the right one was numb and refused to obey her commands. Not at all a good development considering the situation, and Elinda had a feeling the night was only likely to get worse as it went on.

What the f-? A boulder practically dropped onto the pit of his stomach when the woman suddenly spoke again. "Oh you - biIIIIIIIIIIITCHHHH!" Hurricane? On three humans and three baby pokemon, really? Oh, this bitch had just touched his last nerve. He should have probably been screaming more, considering how they were flailing across the air like rag dolls in the tornado the damn fatass of a dragon had sent their way. But between trying to keep the contents of his stomach inside him, holding tightly onto Axew so that she wouldn't fly away, and the slew of very disturbing thoughts he had roaming around his head concerning the pimp woman, he found it very hard to add screaming to the list as well. It would be a long while before the damn tornado finally dissipated. Which naturally, wasn't exactly a good thing. When it dissipated, Doug found that he sadly still carried the same amount of inertia he had before. The tornado dissipated and the boy sailed across the air, practically bouncing off the soil like a skipping stone. That was easily the fifth worst fall of his life. Good thing children were made of rubber. Or more likely, that he had bounced off a soft spot of soil. Maybe what remained of the park's children's sandbox? It didn't matter. He was alive, his body didn't hurt too bad and the world was only spinning somewhat quickly. Time to get up. The boy jumped to his feet sharply; then face planted immediately after. "Fuck." He commented from the floor, his face firmly against the grass. He knew he was a bit dizzy, but he hadn't thought it would literally topple him over. Axew really didn't care one way or the other; she just wanted his heavy ass off her. With a growl, the small pokemon shoved at the soil underneath her, essentially pushing back against Doug and throwing the boy off, forcing them to roll over. The child found himself staring at the spinning sky, his breath shaky as he tried to prop himself onto his elbows. "I hope that woman steps on a lego." Hissed the boy as he tried to prop himself onto his elbows, finding himself still capable of supporting his weight. Okay, that was good. Now if only he could balance his weight, he could actually start getting somewhere. Before he could try to stand a second time however, he suddenly found his personal space invaded by a small, darting figure, dropping back on his ass. "Huh. Guess my landing didn't go as well as planned." He commented, rubbing at the back of his head with a little worry. He wasn't one of those dudes that could understand pokemon gibberish, and the thing darting between him and the other two trainers was most definitely a pokemon. He did not recognize it at all, though he supposed that wasn't important. "I ain't dead yet, so there's that." He said in response to both the pokemon's and Elinda's questions. "And yeah, we could use some help." Honoka seemed to want to get some info on the pokemon, but Doug was in a rush. "The jerks driving everyone away need to be taught a lesson." He growled as he tried to stand up again, his stumbling about on trembly legs. "They won't let me find my mom."
