Well, life is too short, So love the one you got He'd almost forgotten what it was like to just take a day off. It'd been easily a couple of years since Ryusuke had left home to start his career as a trainer - a life of travel and work in exchange for what was generally seen as an incredible degree of freedom. And, honestly, not a decision he probably would've gone back and changed given the opportunity. If nothing else it was a valuable set of experiences that had made him self sufficient and allowed him to grow as a person, and the ups and downs of the lifestyle balanced each other out pretty well. That said, though, all experience shaped who you were and that included everything that came before an arbitrary point in time - namely when he became a trainer. Put lightly, Ryusuke had always found it difficult to turn off and stop working at things. Some called it being stubborn, others viewed it as a positive quality and labeled it "tenacious". It was a good quality to have as a trainer since it meant that commitment to projects lasted and effort almost always paid off, but fact was that everyone needed a breather now and then. All the more so after something like Vega. Ryusuke had managed to avoid getting caught up in the uglier bits of that mess but the stress had gotten to him and been largely the reason he'd left the city as soon as he'd been able to. The other half of that had been a simple self preservation instinct, but that was neither here nor there. Bottom line was that a break was needed and it was hard to say "no" to the idea with how much progress had been made since arriving in Stellara, and of all the cities they could've been in Cygni seemed a perfect fit for that. "So, what d'you think?" Ryusuke asked, eyes drifting upwards to a green blur just outside his field of vision. Dressed in his usual black and laying on his back in a pool of crimson that was his coat resting between him and the stone bench he was on, Cygni's park offered a calming place to regroup, as close to the greenery that Ryusuke was used to as possible in the city limits. Held up in a gloved hand was his PokeNav, screen lit up an presenting a map of the city with the various points of interest displayed as tiny icons barely visible to the eye - one of which would soon be obscured as a small, green hand extended from the blur in Ryusuke's vision to point. Treecko's voice would be more of a mutter than usual as the Pokemon spoke from his perch atop the blond's head, and he was pretty sure he knew why. "You're joking, right? We ate just a half hour ago. Something else for a change, we can do that anywhere." Ryusuke retorted, although all he got in reply was a grumble from the Wood Gecko rather than another suggestion. After the debacle in Vega the Grass type had been unusually unwilling to leave his side again, especially as Treecko's antics had almost gotten them separated shortly before things went to shit. The major downside of the new development, though, was that the Pokemon was getting bored more and more frequently - and when he got bored that usually meant one of two things, eating or trolling others for his own amusement. "Seriously, try again. Place has got dozens of museums. Movie theaters, whatever. Plenty to do, might as well make the most of it before we keep going north." Treecko - Level 21. Overgrow.
