MEGA EVOLUTION AND Z-MOVES
MEGA EVOLUTION
Mega Evolution first requires a Key Stone. The Key Stone can be embedded in a bracelet, amulet, necklace or any other accessory or piece of clothing. Next, you will need to obtain a Megastone for the Pokemon that you wish to Mega Evolve. In order to learn the secrets of Mega Evolution, you must have at least SIX POKEMON THAT ARE AT LEAST LEVEL 30. Also, the Pokemon you want to Mega Evolve needs to be LEVEL 35 AND FULLY EVOLVED. Also, here on Stellara, every single fully evolved Pokemon has a Mega Form, whether it is in canon or not. If a Pokemon’s Mega form is non-canon, its Mega Form information will be added here when someone gains the Megastone for it.
When a Pokemon first Mega Evolves, it will be unable to fully control itself. In fact, it will go into an utter rage; the Pokemon will care about nothing other than destroying its opponent. Plus, the Pokemon will not heed simple vocal commands from its trainer. Most of the time, the trainer will have to use force if they want to regain control of his or her Pokemon. It takes time for a Pokemon to be able to control itself while it is in its Mega Form; with each Mega Evolution, a Pokemon gains more and more control over its mind until it masters its Mega Form. In order to master its Mega Form, the Pokemon in question has to Mega Evolve THREE TIMES. On the fourth time, it will have full control over itself while it is in its Mega Form.
There are a few more rules regarding Mega Forms:
- Mega Evolution is a power boost to the Pokemon who Mega Evolves. While it does not increase a Pokemon’s level, it does make the Pokemon stronger than Pokemon near its level of strength (within three levels).
- Only one Pokemon on your team can Mega Evolve in a single thread at a time.
- Mega Evolving takes up an entire turn to finish. On the turn you Mega Evolve your Pokemon on, you cannot attack in any way.
- Having multiple Megastones is possible; you simply need to do a quest for every single Megastone that you wish to get.
- You cannot trade Megastones between members.
Z-MOVES
Z-Moves can only be used if the trainer has a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal. Also, to get a Z-Ring, you must have THREE POKEMON WHO ARE AT LEAST LEVEL 25. Pokemon can only use Z-Moves if its trainer has a Z-Crystal in his or her inventory. For Stellara, a Pokemon is not required to hold onto a Z-Crystal in order to use a Z-Move. Z-Moves can only be used ONCE per thread, and a Pokemon cannot use a Z-Move if it is in its Mega Evolution. All Z-Moves deal a DEVASTATING amount of damage upon hit.
HOW TO GET
Instead of making members do moderated quests to get Key Stones, Mega Stones and Z-Rings, we could instead do a storyline system to where you, the members, will have to create storylines of their own that detail how they obtain these items. Then, you will submit a request for whatever item you want, along with summaries and explanations of the storyline with links to the threads themselves. Your storyline should be at least four threads long, though it can be longer. Then, staff will review the threads and deem whether you have done enough to obtain the item you desire or not. If not, you will be given an opportunity to work on changes. You will have to do this every time you want to obtain a Key Stone, a Mega Stone or a Z-Ring. We require you do two social threads when you attempt to obtain any of these items. You can do solo threads, but do not do solo threads for the entire storyline. Plus, any solo thread that you do must be at least 2000 words long in order to count. When you are ready to have your storyline reviewed, post it in your PC, and put a request up in the Mod Request thread.
When you do these storylines, you can come up with anything that you want so long as that it makes sense. However, to be sure that it is acceptable, it is preferable that you bring the idea up with staff so that it can be reviewed and approved. This way, you do not go through the storyline and then it has to be retconned because it is not acceptable. If you want an example of a storyline for these items, check below.

Amy and Ted meet in Saiph City after some time. They catch up with one another and discuss about their recent adventures as well how their Pokemon are doing. Then, Amy mentions that she witnessed two experienced trainers Mega Evolve their Pokemon in battle. She says that the battle was truly awe-inspiring and wants to learn how to Mega Evolve her Pokemon. Ted becomes interested in Mega Evolution as well, but the problem is that the two have little to no idea of where to start if they wanted to learn the secrets of Mega Evolution. After some brainstorming, the two decided to visit one of the Pokemon Labs in Cyngi City for some answers.

Amy and Ted visit the Pokemon Lab in Cyngi City in order to find more about Mega Evolution and the ways to achieve it. After speaking to the Lab’s head professor, Professor Morel, they learn that it is possible to Mega Evolve by obtaining a Key Stone and a Mega Stone. Professor Morel informs that it is possible to obtain a Key Stone from designated Stellara Pokemon League trainers who serve to test trainers to see if they are worthy of Mega Evolving while Mega Stones are spread all throughout the region. Some Mega Stones are owned by trainers; some Mega Stones are protected at sacred sites, and some are simply scattered all throughout the region in the most random of places. Professor Morel also warns that in order to handle the stresses of Mega Evolution, a Pokemon needs to be fully evolved and powerful enough to avoid getting destroyed. Amy and Ted recognize the risks and the work ahead of them and set to go about locating one of the League Trainers responsible for distributing Key Stones.

After searching through the Vaisera Mountains, Amy and Ted finally find one of the League Trainers qualified to grant Key Stones: Mark. After hearing about Amy’s and Ted’s desire to learn about Mega Evolution, Mark decides to test them. He tells Amy and Ted that there is a cave located deep in the Vaisera Mountains that they need to reach. However, the path cuts through hostile Pokemon territory, and the two will need to brave the dangers in order to successfully reach the cave. If Amy and Ted manage to reach the cave, Mark will be there waiting for them to give them their final test. Amy and Ted agree and begin making their way towards the cave using the directions that Mark gave them. However, their journey wasn’t easy, and they encountered plenty of Pokemon that wanted to do nothing more than beat them into a pulp.
[THREAD NAME #4]
Amy and Ted finally reach the cave that Mark directed them to. It turns out that the cave is called the Cavern of Power, and it serves as a special area for Pokemon and their trainers to learn about the secrets of Mega Evolution. Mark tells Amy and Ted that this is the last part of their test. Mark then sends out his Salamence and promptly triggers Salamence’s Mega Evolution, transforming him into Mega-Salamence. He then tells Amy and Ted that in order for a Pokemon to successfully Mega Evolve, it must be strong enough in mind and body to handle the stresses of the situation. He then challenges Amy and Ted to a battle with the Pokemon they intend to Mega Evolve. Amy and Ted’s Pokemon are both fatigued and outmatched; however, they both battle their hardest. While they may not have won the battle, they eventually prove to their trainers and Mark that they are strong enough to handle Mega Evolution. After the battle, Mark gives both Amy and Ted Key Stones as well as information on where to pick up their respective Mega Stones from the Stellara Pokemon League. With that, Amy and Ted finally learn how to Mega Evolve Pokemon!
