the things that you might like don't grow inside of me Tried as he might, Ryusuke just wasn't able to get used to it. He was no stranger to odd Pokemon - hell, most of the ones Ryusuke knew growing up probably qualified as such to others and it had really become more a matter of subjective opinion. Treecko was a perfect example of that. Stubborn and too clever for his own good, and more liable to ignore commands he didn't like than do what was asked. To a point it was much the reason that he'd adopted his mother's style of battling in the first place. Let the Pokemon do what they wanted, with training more often focused on teaching them what good judgement calls were so they were self sufficient in fights. Leave the bigger picture to the trainer, and the overall strategy to them while the Pokemon handled the tactics and moment to moment judgement calls. Not a style that worked for everyone, though. It required a certain degree of trust from both parties as a single wrong step could wind up costing the battle, and if neither party trusted the other then at least one would try to micromanage. It was a tricky balancing act, but one that Ryusuke had found a fair amount of success making work. At least bar one Pokemon. Ryusuke's first encounter with Rotom should have gone well enough. The Pokemon had been beyond friendly - his initial approach wasn't a challenge or a battle but rather an open greeting. No ill intend whatsoever, at least as far as Ryusuke and Treecko had been able to tell. Where trust became an issue, though, was the fact that the Pokemon's first attempt to help the trainer had also involved telling him to outright walk into traffic, and after that Ryusuke would've been very surprised if anyone didn't have a bit of issue trusting the little spark. Especially considering it had refused to leave his PokeNav after infesting it and the Pokemon Center had to effectively remove it by force, leaving Ryusuke stuck with the Pokemon. At least now, though, he had options. "Hello?" Ryusuke called out, voice kept low as he stepped through the door of the shop, Treecko riding atop his shoulder as per usual. The place was filled with Pokemon, and business evidently had been going well as there were several other people already inside the shop ahead of him. Keeping Rotom's Pokeball held in one hand, Ryusuke stepped further into the store as he began to mill about, waiting for one of the people working there to become available. @tag |

PERSONALITY — This Rotom is a particularly talkative and friendly pokemon, even to humans (although they probably can't understand it). Rotom is not particularly assertive, but constantly attempts to persuade its pokemon peers to go along with its ideas, however indecisive it might be. However friendly it may be, it has a tendency to come up with the worst possible ideas in any given situation, which can put it and others in danger. The tragedy of this is that it was a pokemon specifically raised with this in mind. It was a Rotom trained to be a saboteur by a sinister organization into trying to shut down a rival by infecting its computer systems to make their company make the worst possible decisions and get fallen out of business. However, Rotom simply can't help that, and is genuinely affectionate and friendly to those it sees as its partners. However, if Rotom enters a machine of significant power, it is rather highly corruptible, and can easily go out of control unless its trainer knows what they are doing.
