to fit right in Elinda couldn't remember the last time she'd felt this cold. Truth be told, she couldn't remember the last time she'd actually seen snow at all. Living in Hoenn had its perks, and she'd be the last to complain about warm weather when offered it, and after nearly sixteen years spent living in the tropical region she'd grown accustomed to such environments. But the cold... where most people found discomfort, Elinda merely found herself reminded of previous places she'd been, the encounters and events that had transpired there. Sinnoh, Kanto, Johto, Tokai, Hoenn, Unova... she'd had a good run of it during her glory days as a younger trainer, and has seen a good portion of the world as a result. A great many different locales across all of them. But the mountains were something special, something she'd grown up with - and now, for better or worse, she was back again for what was probably the first time since her return to Tokai five years ago. Bundled against the cold in her long sleeved black travel clothes and the red coat over those, Elinda's only immediate complaint was the lack of fingers on her sap gloves - something easily fixed, however, with her hands having long since found their way into her pockets. Snow crunching under boot, the woman continued along one of the many narrow paths winding along the sides of the ice crusted mountains, Beldum in tow behind her. Beldum - Level 9. Take Down. to fit right in For several long minutes the only thing that would fill the air was the sound of shifting snow and gravel as Elinda continued along the mountain path, largely lost in thought as her mind wandered. Boredom was a terrible thing to have and monotony likewise did horrible things to the mind, but every now and then even she needed a time of peace and quiet to herself. Time to reflect, to collect her thoughts, to consider what would come next for her and how to go about it. After rounding another bend in the path, however, the trainer would feel a familiar presence vanish from behind her. Turning to look, Elinda would see that Beldum hadn't quite gone anywhere but was now looking upwards, single crimson eye scanning the cliffs above. "Beldum, something wrong?" The blond inquired, eyes settling first on the Steel type before moving up to search the area the Pokemon was so interested in. After several long moments, however, the Iron Ball Pokemon's attention would wane and it would hover back to Elinda, lightly bumping against her shoulder as it passed. Curious as to what had gotten her Pokemon's attention in the first place but more concerned with continuing onwards, the blond would merely shrug after a moment and move to follow her Pokemon on the path ahead. to fit right in These paths were apparently teeming with Pokemon - from the moment that Elinda rounded the bend after Beldum she found the other Pokemon halted, the blond very nearly colliding with the Steel type in the process. It didn't take long to see what had gotten his attention, either. While the Gurios Mountains were by and large mostly a collage of various shades of grays and whites with the occasional green of a hardy plant thrown in here and there, a few things managed to stick out like a sore thumb. One of which was the bright pink Pokemon on the path ahead, having stopped to look right back at Beldum as he had for her. Elinda couldn't honestly remember the last time she'd actually seen a Smoochum, but she knew what it was - Ice and Psychic, a fairly unique typing, and with a fairly powerful evolution in Jynx once the prerequisites were met. Not, however, Elinda's speed as far as Pokemon went. With the Ice type's eyes suddenly shifting to Elinda as she stopped behind Beldum the wild Pokemon would give a startled jolt and begin dashing off the path and into the dense bushes for cover. Not entirely looking for a fight, both Pokemon and trainer would continue on as if nothing had happened. Beldum - Level 9. Take Down. Ferroseed - Level 5. Growl, Tackle. Skarmory - Level 5.
