That said, the Pokemon can't ignore his nature and all but lives for battling, and when the fighting actually starts the apparent slowness of the Pokemon seems to disappear. Quick to act and incredibly cunning for what many assume to be just a Bug with a meathead, Rocky nevertheless tends to prefer the direct approach to fights, taking and dishing out punishment in equal measure. While he feels pain in very much the same way as anyone else does, for Rocky it serves as a motivator more than a deterrent - a challenge to see how much further he can go and how much of that beating he can return to his opponent.

That isn't to say that the Pokemon isn't without his strong points, however. A predatory species by nature, Nibbler's combat instincts are usually much more acute than that of other Pokemon which is largely what allows him to take such a laid back approach to things, and the Pokemon himself is usually quite well mannered when calm and able to focus.

As a result, Duskull had developed an additional move to his current pool, which allowed him a sort of parting shot before he'd black out from all of the blows he was dealt. This Pokemon has accepted that there is little reason to fight back if he could not win, but that could change once he is introduced to more formal battling. He is not used to kindness and being taken care of, so he can be wary of both people and Pokemon. Nevertheless, once he decides to let his guard down, Duskull is an intuitive Pokemon that is very much eager to learn about the world outside of the dark alleyways.

Occasionally he gets overwhelmed by multiple, complex instructions, freezing up in confusion and panic. This was because he was kidnapped by poachers when he was very young, so he does not know who his parents or siblings were. He tries not to dwell on that thought too much though, preferring to focus on the now more than anything else. If trained properly, he can easily become a powerful threat. He has a lot of room to grow both in battle and in maturity, but the trainer that gets him would need a lot of patience to draw this out.

In a way, you could say that Riolu doesn't really know what its limits are, so it's doing everything it can so that it can truly see the true extent of its abilities itself. However, when making any sort of challenge, Riolu will be as loud, extravagant and extra as possible. For example, it'll scream at the top of its lungs that it'll attempt to do one hundred push-ups, so that it gets some sort of attention and then proceed to do said push-ups. As such, Riolu can easily get on people's nerves with his constant showboating; plus, he makes no distinction between when it is approrpiate to be a showman and when to really be serious. At least Riolu is determined and focused and sticks with his beliefs and principles. That has to count for something, right?

So, Bergmite is very self-conscious of its training regime and diet. For example, it'll only consume healthy, high-quality food, and it demands to stick to a strict training routine with no deviants. It is a disciplined Pokemon who is not afraid to help others when it needs to. However, it is incredibly discriminatory towards fire-types; it deems them hot-headed, destructive and full of unbridled rage. It refuses to associate with any fire-tpyes, and if pitted against one, Bergmite will do everything in its power to cause as much harm as possible to the fire-type. Bergmite is incredibly blunt, and it is not afraid to speak its mind, which can get it in plenty of trouble.
