The starry night above was better than any software imitation from the many games Cooper and his partners played. There were lighter patches, clusters of faint and bold light, the constellations altered according to the time of year. These were the same stars that greeted the ancients, the same ones that would be there in millions of years. Cooper sat back against the cool sand below, his head to the skies above, sprawled on his back. What was a few minutes in untold reams of time?
The Grubbin boy just wore a pair of swim trunks and a set of oversized goggles with a snorkel now. Nobody came to this secluded corner of the beach at night, and the passing cars behind him on the highway paid no mind to the tiny speck of a morph on the beach. Beside him laid a sleepinch Conch, fed and content for now with a bubble inflating and deflating upon his nose. Cheerie was bright-eyed and busy-tailed as per usual, now building a sandcastle of the sort... Though it was just a pile of wet sand at the moment.
Today had been a hectic day. He tried to find some peace at the Vega City fair, which didn't go well, and neither did the forest. It was nice to finally get some peace for once... Still, Cooper groaned. With his luck someone would come in only a matter of time now. He looked down at his stub hands, regretting the foolish choice to leave his coat back at his hotel room, thinking he could get some peace of mind out here.

(Kaid it's too dark out... We should go back to the house...) "Can't you see in the dark? Plus just look up. You'll see why we're here." Rolo looked up and let out a small gasp. A sky filled with small twinkling lights. Kaid heard the small gasp as she looked up at the sky. She laughed excitedly and ran onto the open Beach, bouncing once she reached a small open area with some moist stand. She stood there with an open mouth just staring up at the gleaming sky before suddenly darting towards the water to splash around in the gentle ocean. Kaid laughed and wrapped the scarf around his neck tighter. Shoving his hands in his pockets Kaid walked over to where Rolo was splashing around and getting dirtier by the second. Kaid scooped her up and pulled the towel out of his satchel that he'd brought for this eventuality. "Guess you're getting another bath... Ugh." Rolo flailed and then fell limp in defeat as Kaid cleaned her up a bit before simply setting her back on the ground. "Try not to get too dirty right now. We're just here to relax".
Kaid laughed as Rolo simply sat down and started playing with sand in defeat. He joined her on the ground with crossed legs and closed his eyes. It had been a pretty uneventful day at the Health Center besides a massive Gyrados had come in due to a belly ache. The unexperienced trainer still claimed she had no idea how part of a damn car had ended up in her pokemons belly. He shuddered, remembering how hard it was to induce vomiting in the 20 foot carnivore... Kaid focused his Aura and suddenly felt another presence nearby. A familiar one. If memory served him right, this was the energy of Cooper, the small friendly morph he'd met in the forest recently. Calmly he picked up Rolo and Walked over to where Cooper was sitting. He hadn't noticed him yet. Kaid poked his shoulder to get his attention, hoping not to startle him. "Long day?"

Sink or Swim Leon Solis Party - Ember
Calming waves rolling past… No people to bother you… No traffic for a good mile... These were the proper conditions for relaxation. Leon and his partner, Ember, were walking (Well, Ember was riding) across a silent beach, perfect for the cool temperature. The soft crunch of sand under Leon’s boots made him feel at home, back in Saiph City… but it was missing something… What was that feeling? Leon shrugged his shoulder, making sure not to knock of his sleepy buddy. “Sorry for dragging you along, Ember.” Spoke the man, his voice gentle for a change. “I just thought you’d like to see the stars. I know you enjoyed them last time and well..”
Leon pick up his friend and held him in his palms, looking up to the sky. “They’re really shining tonight. It’s beautiful…” The tiny pokemon sat up and gaped and the beauty of the night. It truly was a masterpiece. Leon looked at his friend, smiling big. “Say, you look just as beheld as I thought you might be. Now, why don’t we go enjoy this afternoon?” “Quil! Quil!” Barked the small Cyndaquil. “Yeah, I agree. Some dinner sounds great. Let’s find a good spot to set up camp!”
Leon set Ember onto his shoulder once more and walked down the silent beach, expecting not to see anyone, but as he passed a herd of trees, he found multiple figures in the sand as well. “Oh? Some other people taking the backroads?” The Servine Morph walked to the group and bowed slightly. “Evening, travellers. My name is Leon” The boy did not put up his protective layer to conceal his leafy body through his suit, for he saw no need. The child seemed to be a morph as well, a Grubbin one by the looks.
OOC: By protective layer, I mean he can morph his body to look more like he’s wearing a servine hoodie. Pretty neat, huh? |

COOPER USED DIG!
With a jolt, Cooper quickly tore out his little claws and dug into the sands, shivering like a leaf. Cheerie glanced over and chirped cheerily to Kaid, zipping over and tapping at the top of Cooper's dome-head that was partially covered in the sand, still shaking.
The boy raised his head out cautiously, calming down at the sight of Kaid. He didn't know much about the Ralts' trainer, but hey, he didn't pry about his morph-ness and was generally nice and NOT part of Team Crux, so those were all good points in his favor. "U-Uh... Yeah. Long d-day." Cooper spoke with a tentative nod- his day sure had been long and exhausting.
Soon there was the arrival of another figure that looked awful big- probably since Cooper was at literal ground level. "Eeep!" The boy croaked, the grown Grubbin would gasping and diving into the sands, his legs briefly kicking up as he dove under. Cheerie sighed, prodding at the sand, but her friend didn't emerge.
Conch rolled over to his side, still fast asleep. The ground seemed to rumble as he rolled over, earning a brief shiver from the Yanma. The Yanma took a few steps towards Leon with a hand on her chin, eyeing the individual... Was he a Morph like Cooper? It sure looked like it. With a cheery chirp, the Yanma would zip in circles around Leon before flying back to the shaking ground Cooper had dug under, clawing at it as best she could with her two stubby digits, glancing from the ground to the two trainers. Hopefully her message got across quick.

Kaid's small friend started and immediately started grabbing at sand to bury himself. He'd succeeded rather well in his disappearing act, as well as encasing Kaid nearly entirely in sand. He shook himself off and turned his pockets inside-out to alleviate the new weight in every corner of his clothes. "It's just me buddy." He turned his attention to Cheerie who was buzzing around the lump in the ground rather exasperatedly. Kaid laughed and closed his to concentrate and talk to the Yanma. "It's ok, just give him some time friend." Eventually Cooper popped out of his hole again. He explained that it had been indeed a long day.
Kaid was about to help cooper out of his sand coffin when Leon walked up behind him and introduced himself as such. Kaid sighed, only to be recovered in a thick layer of sand. Cooper sunk into the soft earth and now another large amount of sand had fallen onto Kaid. He sighed and started dusting himself off again. Jeez Cooper... "Friend you gotta stop getting too freaked out all the time. I know a counselor if you need help.. Anyways," He said turning to the new comer. "I'm Kaid. It's nice to meet you Leon." Kaid looked at the small pokemon with Leon. "Hey, Nice Cyndaquil. I've never seen one before." Kaid closed his eyes and a faint blue hue traveled over his body. He spoke to the cyndaquil personally. "Hello little one."

Sink or Swim Leon Solis Party - Ember Lvl 5
Upon approaching, the boy with grubbin-like horns flew into the ground, not doing so well to hide himself as the top of his head was poking out. Leon wanted to say something on the matter, but he didn’t know what. “Uhm… Hey kid, you uh… You need some help?” His face was a stone cold smile, not because he was angry, but because he felt offended, now that he thought about it. “Look, just because I'm a morph, doesn't mean I'm Crux. I can tell you're trying to hide because someone might pick on you, or worse, report you, so…. Just come out.”
Before Leon could approach, he was stopped by Kaid, a friendly face who made his own introduction. “Ah, well it's an honor to meet you, Kaid.” The Servine boy watched as the Doctor started to gather a glow. Leon crossed his arms and looked at Kaid with an unsure look. “What the-?” “Quil…?” (Hi… Ghost Man?) Squeaked the Mouse pokemon, unsure himself. “Hey, that's not a nice name” “Cyn cyn quil!” (It’s not a bad one either!) “Fair” shrugged the Servine man. He didn’t know about this glow, but he figured it was that of an Aura Guardian. That, or he really was a ghost… cool... |

NERVOUS BEAN
(Pssssh, don't take it personally. Coop does this with everyone.) Cheerie spoke to the Servine Morph in her usual series of buzzes and chirps, though she was unsure if he could understand her. Cooper's Grubbin DNA was minimal, as he was created with the bare necessities for an agent Morph for Team Crux, so he couldn't understand the bug himself.
Cooper still inched further into his hole. Leon smiled, but Cooper ended up now worrying that he was judging him because he got scared or something. "I--I'm s-s-sorry, I..." The boy croaked with his usual shaking tone, wrapping his arms around his stomach and inching further underground. Cooper saw a glow out of the corner of his eye, briefly making him flinch. Though, it was only Kaid's aura upon further investigation.
Still only peeking out of his safety hole, Cooper would put a hand on Cheerie when the bug moseyed over and nuzzled up to the little Morph to give him some semblance of comfort. Cooper wrapped his arms around the bug with a sigh, still wearily eyeing the two that he only barely knew. "S-S-So... N-nice night, r-r-right?" He spoke with a meek, nervous smile that lacked any semblance of confidence. Cheerie just sighed in response to Cooper's attempt at small talk, nuzzling closer to her trainer.
