PERSONALITY
Eugenia is a genuinely kind person and usually has no problem with random conversation, though she's not often social enough to be the one to initiate said interaction. She is quiet with people, but loves talking to her Pokemon any chance she gets. This isn't to say she'll never be the first to talk, but she's more often the kind of person to attract attention to herself with her behavior or her attire. Although she dresses somewhere between a punk and a goth, she acts nothing like the stereotypical brooding character. She is outgoing, curious, and supportive. It is not difficult to make friends with Eugenia, as she is not really the judging type. If one proves multiple times they are not to be trusted, she will see to it that they are no longer part of her life.
This woman is a little spacey, often found in a daze if she does not have a Pokemon out to give her attention to. She thinks too much. This means she will often talk herself in circles in stressful situations, more often than not losing her chance at a great strategy or the like. That's what makes Nini such a great partner. She does hope to be able to act quicker but this will take her a lot of work and a lot of patience from those around her.
BACKGROUND
Growing up in Violet City in the Johto region was relatively boring. At least for Eugenia it was. She didn't have much interest in the local gym because she'd much rather be observing the wild Pokemon than watching trained Pokemon hit each other. The actual moves were fun to watch, at least, so she'd occasionally sneak a peek at a challenge. More often than not, she was out in the woods, though. This upset her parents because she didn't have any Pokemon to protect her, so... of course, she figured as long as she had one of her parents' Pokemon with her, she'd be fine! Not quite what her parents had in mind. They tried to convince her to stay home (because no matter who they had watch her, she'd manage to sneak away at some point) but she just wanted to learn.
Eventually, she'd explored everything she felt was worth exploring and began wandering off less. Instead, she'd start helping people around the city with whatever little things she could. This turned into a regular sort of job for her and by the time she was twelve, she was actively helping out in the local shop. Initially, she was paid in candy and other treats and then they'd get her toys. Once she turned fourteen, she was actually getting paid. Of course she did have friends and spent her time playing and socializing when she wasn't working. Only occasionally would they venture out into the forest surrounding their city and once they were teenagers, it was quite a rare situation. They would stay in their homes and pain their nails and such or play board games.
Average. That's how Eugenia would describe her life. For her sixteenth birthday, she bought herself a Pokeball. She'd never really thought about going off on an adventure with a Pokemon before then. Sure, she was curious about the trainers that passed through, but becoming one of them? Risk her safety and security like that? No thanks. So it took her a year to gather the courage and convince herself to just go catch a Pokemon. It didn't mean she'd leave. It didn't mean anything other than having a pet, right?
Wrong. After catching a female Nidoran, she became enamored. Nini wasn't just a pet or a fighter. She was a good friend, more like a sibling or something than a pet. Eugenia learned to understand her pretty quickly and learned that she was a good caretaker for Pokemon. She'd babysat the neighbor's kids once or twice, but this was different. Over the next three years, nothing particularly exciting happened. They didn't really do much training, since Eugenia was needed in the shop and quite frankly, training just seemed so rough. Eventually, though, Nini was caught training by herself and the trainer found interest in her moves. So, between twenty and twenty-one, Eugenia would learn everything and anything she could about TMs and egg moves from whoever would teach her. She learned about the basic moves Pokemon learned naturally mostly through books and such, but eventually decided she needed to know more.
So she used her saved up money to travel to Kanto in search of a renowned researcher and, with his help, learned so much more about Pokemon moves. He knew that she wasn't much for battling or training, but suggested she travel to a whole new region and actually go about being a trainer. After all, the best way to learn about something is to experience it firsthand. That is what has brought her to the Stellara Region. A need to learn about Pokemon moves and to actually indulge Nini's desire to grow.
STARTER
NAME — Nini (nee-nee)
LEVEL — 5
SPECIES — Nidoran
TYPE —
EGG GROUP — Monster & Field
ABILITY — Poison Point
HELD ITEM — None
GENDER — Female
HEIGHT — 1'5" (43 cm/.4 m)
WEIGHT — 15 lbs (6.8 kg)

PERSONALITY — Nini is decidedly not the cutesy Pokemon her name suggests. She is dour. Everything is very serious business to this Nidoran, from eating (a very balanced diet, please and thank you) to battling. Nini does have a sense of humor if one can find it and she can be deceptively flirty when faced with a Pokemon she likes, but she is not romantic and she is not interested in friendship. Partnership? Maybe. If the one in question is worth her time and effort. Like Eugenia, though Nini hates to admit it at times. She is happy with her trainer, though she does not always appreciate the doting set upon her. At least she knows she's cared for.
