It is not a sign of arrogance for the king to rule.
That is what he is there for.
That is what he is there for.
A softly hummed tune drifted into the air, lilting without a care in the warmth of the greenhouse, punctuated here and them with a deeper vocalization.
Simon found himself utterly at ease as he busied himself about the intimate table, delicately laying out pairs of porcelain plates, glasses, napkins, and eating utensils. Everything was a crisp, unadorned white, playing gently with the natural wood table and chairs. On the other hand, the small dining area - situated perfectly in the center of the slate crossroads - created a stunning contrast with the vibrant and varied flora throughout the giant greenhouse.
Beyond the confines of the insulated glass, Nair City's typical snow fell in slow, fat flakes, sticking to everything it touched.
Simon paused in his table-setting to admire the view.
He spotted Grid leisurely exploring the nearby flowers, stopping for a big whiff of every new species she encountered.
It seemed she was looking for a particular flavor, as occasionally she would offer one up to her shoulder where Hoor was laying. Of course, the cat Pokemon was in more in tune with the snow outside than the flowers here; he barely acknowledged the offerings from the Oranguru, though she thankfully seemed undeterred.
Forseti was nowhere to be seen, but Simon knew the Mawile was around here somewhere - most likely concocting some plan to get his trainer's attention.
Expecting his guest to arrive at any moment, Simon examined his handiwork. After a wiggle here and a slight turn there, he decided it was perfect. He was especially pleased with his centerpiece: a tall vase of some of the greenhouse's most exotic plants.
Having this secluded space on Crux territory was one of Simon's favorite benefits as their primary communications provider. No one would intrude on this reunion.
