Ruin has medium length, golden blond hair tied up with a black bow. Her eyes are a shimmering blood ruby color. She has one fang-like tooth which is often exposed when she frowns or smiles, which gave her the nickname, “snaggletooth” which she dislikes. Her cheeks are often enveloped in a sweet pink blush.

Considering she lived on the street for a majority of her life, Ruin has a rather pale skin tone and is exceedingly skinny for someone her own age – due to lack of constant meals. She is also exceptionally short, for her age, which caused her fellow guild members and any other people she meets during her journey to mistake her for someone much younger than she actually is.


She is very bold and adventurous with a sarcastic and stubborn wit. She is often in deep in thought and often worries about others but she keeps it all deep down and plays it off as indifference. She is rather reckless and a bit of a troublemaker, often causing trouble for herself in some way or another. Ruin has absolutely no sensitivity or consideration when talking or acting upon others. Whenever Ruin has something on her mind, she will do anything in her power to complete it. No matter how dark the situation is, she always chooses to get back up and try again and complete whatever she needs to do.

She tends to not be in the habit of not expressing his needs and feelings finds himself in situations throughout his life where she feels overshadowed, overlooked, or even stepped over by others. She is highly practical, although cynical by nature. She often holds people she cares for at arm's length whilst she gets to know them. The more she gets to know someone – the less distant and the more open she will become. Although this process can take a long time to happen as she proves to be most untrusting towards people. Deep down within herself, she is troubled and lonely even reckless at times.


Ruin was born as Akiho in the slums of Orre. She was born as a result of an affair and to make things worse, Akiho’s mother died giving birth. As such the responsibility of raising Akiho fell to her father. However, he wanted little to do with his new daughter, keen to repair relations in his first relationship and to not complicate it with another child. As such, Akiho was allowed to stay in the house but wasn’t looked after well and was fed a small amount of food, unlike the rest of the family. She was kept more or less fed, enough to keep her alive at least. Everyone in the house, even her new stepmother and the children ignored her existence as much as possible or would just utter insults to her.

After years of this abuse, Akiho ran away from home and was forced to live on the streets begging for money. Due to being homeless and destitute, Akiho was forced to join a gang to survive. She joined a group called the “Blood Red Jackals”. A group run by a bunch of kids on the streets just like her with their leader who called himself “Jackal”. As each member was given a false name, Akiho’s name was changed to Ruin. At first, they’d just steal what they needed, usually a small amount of food – bread, water, fruit and the like – to keep themselves alive. They did this for several months. However, Jackal was always wanting more, to be a force and to be known, not to have to survive on the scraps. Instead, over the next few years, the gang began to plan bigger heists for greater cost and to hopefully get out of the streets and poverty. She never agreed with these heists but never spoke openly about it knowing she needed them to survive. As such she continued silently to work with the Jackals. She only opposted their plans once and was quickly silenced and given the ultimatum to continue with them or to leave and be alone and starving.

However, it all went wrong as they attempted to steal money from a store. During this event, all of the Blood Red Jackals except Ruin were caught, who was able to run away without being seen. It was her own fault, she attempted to stop Jackal, mid-heist. She tried to hold him back from taking the money and they could just leave and they wouldn't be caught. However, Jackal wanted more and continued to take more money from the store but Ruin, unwilling to carry on, simply left before the Police arrived minutes later. She watched from afar as they were taken away in a Van. Ruin never discovered what happened to her friends after that. She just ran and never stopped.

However, after this, she decided to go straight, put her life of crime behind her and moved from Orre to Stellara as to start a new life. Although, she still chose to keep the name, Ruin as memory and as penitence for her past life. To get from Orre, Ruin stuck aboard a Ship, albeit unsure where it was going. She hid in the lower decks in the storage and found a Dedenne whilst down there. Although, she tried, it wouldn't leave her alone no matter how hard she tried and thus became her first partner.

PERSONALITY — Dedenne is a simple sort of Pokemon, quite the opposite of Ruin. Overall, she is a giant child. She is very kind, carefree and warm-hearted and always wants to help. She is also quite definitely a little slow on the uptake which causes Ruin a great deal of stress. Also, any of Ruin's insults seem to bounce off him as she either fails to understand them or just doesn’t care. It is unclear which.

She also is constantly hungry and complains if she isn’t fed. Dedenne also has a nasty habit of biting things she likes or things she imagines are food, even if they’re not edible. Although Dedenne can become very bullheaded and focused once, she has something to set her mind too or she needs to protect Ruin from any sort of danger.
