Simon revels in knowledge. The importance of knowing was impressed upon him from a young age, from both parents, and it has grown into his greatest strength and passion. There is a certain satisfaction in just knowing how and why things happen, and Simon applies himself to learning as much as he can about everything he can. Taken out of his usual environment, he would still seek answers with almost childlike fascination.

With his knowledge, Simon has come to realize Pokemon have an incredible value in Stellara. He has no desire to harm the creatures - in fact, oftentimes he struggles with the desire to keep the more interesting ones for study. Instead, he takes extra effort to keep them in prime condition in order to fetch the best price, and cycle that revenue back into his father's telecommunications company.

Tactician
While not a fan of battling, it is sometimes a necessity in Simon's world. Thus, he takes the same approach to battling as he does to everything else: methodical and calculated. Unfortunately, his lack of practical experience in this department does lead to him being surprised quite frequently, but he learns at lightning speed. In fact, his typical style is to take an opponent's technique and iterate on it mid-battle to his own benefit.

Ever since his father decided Simon had more potential than the older son, Simon's life has revolved around business - both clean and dirty. Wright Telecommunications does not view its customers through any black or white lens, and Team Crux has been a most profitable partner. Simon has been brought in and around the Crux base with increasing frequency over the years, and its members have been slowly acclimating to his eventual takeover.

Perhaps owing to his somewhat sheltered early life, Simon has a strangely young, almost feminine look to him. Rather than walk, he flounces. Rather than smirk, he grins. Rather than laugh, he giggles.

His choice in attire doesn't lend itself to much masculinity either. His clothes tend to be oversized on top, and somewhat tighter on bottom. Immensely preferring casual over business, his favorite outfits include basic light tees with simple designs and a large but thin jacket. He tends toward darker colors, exacerbating his pale complexion and smaller frame.

But somehow, Simon has an air of authority - perhaps even danger. His eyes, while on the larger side, sometimes flicker with a darkness that clashes with the rest of his appearance. He analyzes everything he encounters, to the point that he appears to be looking through you to your center. Everything about him says honest and childish, but his eyes give away his lifetime of an intense and purposeful training.

Despite the off-putting air Simon gives off, he offers nothing but honesty. He is genuinely fascinated by those around him, human and beast, and gets genuine satisfaction out of mentally deconstructing them. His life is one of constant questions, and he stops at nothing to get answers.

Of course, that also means he can be brutal. Simon believes in an iron fist - just and benevolent, but iron. He considers his caretaking of people a gift, and should they not properly take advantage of it, they are undeserving. He will not waste time or mince words with subpar company.

That said, the upbringing enforced by his father has perhaps left him somewhat warped. He genuinely believes his own superiority over others, accepting it as fact and merely pities those that don't understand. Of course, his father's lessons included those on his own weaknesses, but his father also said that being aware of them is the first step to being untouchable. The more he indulges in his father's tutelage, the more confident he becomes in his ability to maintain a perfect system. Others whom he judges suitable will be incorporated into that system, and anyone else will unquestionably be kept out.

But he knows to keep his mouth shut about these things. People don't like to hear about their place on the totem pole, and people need to be kept happy to continue serving their purpose to the utmost. Frankly, Simon does take joy in keeping his associates happily motivated - but the feeling is more akin to taking care of a garden than any real interpersonal bonding. He keeps the place well-fertilized and watered, clear of any weeds or pests, and is quick to eliminate any potential diseases - but ultimately, they serve only as nourishment for his own future.


Born second in a wealthy family, no one expected much from Simon at first. He was born smaller than his brother Arthur, and was a quiet, easily placated baby. As he grew into a child, his fascination with the world never faded - in fact, it seemed to grow stronger. Still, their father's plans were originally reserved for Arthur, and Simon was left alone with his mother most days.

She taught him to read and write and do basic arithmetic as soon as he was able, and was pleasantly surprised to find that he soaked up knowledge quickly and thoroughly. She decided to focus much of her time on cultivating his knowledge, though when the youngest boy Pierre arrived, her attention became divided. Simon did not take this personally, but instead found the dynamic deeply intriguing.

He sensed an uneasiness in Peri early on, and came to the decision that the younger boy felt guilty for becoming the apple of his mother's eye. As an experiment, Simon apologized to his little brother - and their relationship was suddenly much more relaxed. In fact, Pierre seemed to take to him as a role model, and Simon again found himself intrigued by his younger brother. He nurtured this relationship as a long-term social experiment.

At times, the younger brothers' antics took on a more antagonistic feel in regards to the oldest, Arthur. Still, Simon felt no guilt in the bullying. He learned quickly that his older brother was reserved and quiet, and decided early on that Arthur would never raise an objection against Simon, let alone anything more damaging like a fist.

By the time he was ten, his older brother was beginning to disappear with their father. Meanwhile, Simon had become proficient in academics of a level far exceeding his age, and their mother had begun offering him more advanced subjects like psychology, philosophy, and other critical thinking disciplines. He flourished in these areas as well, and quickly moved onto harder science like biology and early calculus. Their mother was convinced she had a genius on her hands, and she was excited to see how far he would go; though she often left the middle child to himself and instead doted on young Peri.

Eventually, she broached Pokemon as a subject for further intellectual investigation. As with other things, Simon took to this immediately and began cataloging vast databases on Pokemon types and abilities, strengths and weaknesses, etc. Together with his mother, he would battle in theoretical scenarios. Due to this hands-off application of knowledge, he continues to view Pokemon battles as something akin to chess matches where the beasts are simply a resource in order to achieve victory.

At the age of thirteen, his mother's vault of knowledge began to run dry - and frankly, her interest in Pierre had far exceeded that of Simon. Fortunately, his father suddenly took an interest in him and began bringing Simon along to his and Arthur's business travels. It was almost immediately obvious that Simon's burning curiosity and mental aptitude gave him far more potential as the heir to the Wright company. Having barely interacted with his older brother, he felt no guilt in this. People had strengths and weaknesses, and Simon was just better for the job.

The transition to his father's teaching style was jarring - for the first day. The man was significantly more strict and straightforward than his mother, and Simon found he liked the attitude. It quickly rubbed off on him, and this seemed to please the old man. Their relationship was one of pride and confidence, and as Simon came into young adulthood, he offered innovative ways to improve the company. His father couldn't be happier, though he tried to keep praise to a minimum. "It's important not to get a big head, Simon. That makes you an easy target."

In recent years, Simon has challenged his father with increasing frequency. Nearly every time, his objections or suggestions are well-placed, but their relationship has become a little more complicated. His father isn't quite ready to hand over the reins, but Simon's potential is practically bursting from his small frame. The young man has picked up on the hesitation - confirmed by the sudden receipt of a well-bred Mawile - and has decided for himself that his father deserves to ride out the remainder of his reign as king.

After all, Simon will be there soon enough.

In the meantime, he entertains himself with further expanding his knowledge on people and Pokemon. His brothers are again an endless source of intrigue, and he regularly pays them visits when he learns of their whereabouts. As far as Pokemon, he prefers to spectate matches and hunt the valuable ones for pocket change and extra company revenue, but won't hesitate to accept a challenge from a stranger. Losses have no affect on his confidence; the more exposure he gets, the greater his power down the road.

PERSONALITY — Forseti comes from a reputable breeder, and was raised to be confident much like Simon. However, the Pokemon suffers from an inferiority complex of sorts, craving recognition from his trainer. This could have something to do with its small size, or Simon's general lackadaisical attitude toward him, or even just a natural disposition. Likely, it stems from all three.

Due to this, Forseti acts somewhat erratically. It seems every day he has a new plan for how to win Simon's praise - be perfectly obedient, be more enthusiastic, be overtly friendly - and not once has he gotten more than an amused chuckle from the young man. It frustrates the young Pokemon to his core, but he is determined to prove himself as a reliable partner.

Unfortunately, this people-pleasing attitude means Forseti is actually somewhat void of personality. Simon knows what it's trying to do, but he's confident that running the Pokemon out of patience will lead to it fulfilling its potential. Forseti, however, is incredibly stubborn and surprisingly resolved. It may be a while before he develops anything of interest to Simon.
