Private Training

Alex, awakens to find Plasma has ventured off on his own. He sits up in his bed and sees Lu curled up sleeping at the foot of the bed.

"Wake up, Lu. We have training to do," Alex says stretching a bit.

(Training is motivation. Must be in tip top shop for our gym battle) Lu says.

The two friends head into the Pokemon Center kitchen to eat breakfast. As the two are enjoying their meal, a courier arrives with a package.

"Mr. Ruler, package from Kanto. Also, I have been informed to tell you thag as your party reaches its 6 mon limit, the next time you recieve a Pokemon, you will be given a specially trained bird pokemkn to send one of your pokemon to your parent's house." The courier explains.

Alex smiles and signs the package as he swallows his food.

"Just in time for training," he says, taking the package opening it to reveal a fancy new Pokeball with a Dragon Claw marking on it.

(It feels like a strong pokemon,) Lu says.

"The note says his name is Drakon. Lets go, get some training in," Alex says as they rush out into the nearby woods.

Alex takes all of his pokeballs out and throws them.

"Rex, Rita, Drakon, Tai, come on out!" Alex calls, as they all appear. "Everyone our newest friend is Drakon. He is here to train and prepare for our gym battle. Rita, Lu, and Drakon will begin intense training preparing for the gym battle. Tai, work with Rex. I want you two sparing," Alex commands.

Tai and Rex nod and run off to do as they were told.

"Alright you three. Lets see your best attacks. Rita, hit Lu with Tackle! Drakon, you too!" Alex shouts.

(He aint worth my---) Drakon was saying before he witness Lu thrust Rita backwards, (Is that the best you can do? You are letting a weaker mon, run over you.)

(You wanna try?) Rita asks.

(Or are you perhaps scared?) Lu taunts. (I believe you are)

Drakon growls.

He charges forward and tackles Lu, who simply holds him back with one hand.

"Drakon, in order to overcome Lu's strength, dig your feet in!" Alex calls out, "Rita! Razor Leaf now!"

Lu smirks as Alex instructs the other two on what to do. His left arm is holding Drakon at bay, but begins glowing as does his right arm. Utilizing his Cross Chop technique, Lu increases his arm strength enough to hold Drakon longer and deflect the Razor Leaf.

"Drakon! Rita! Team work! Lu is a master at combining his techniques and using them in ways no other pokemon would. You have to think on his level!" Alex calls out.

(You two are too much fun.) Lu says, jumping into the air and crashing into Drakon with his glowing arms.

Rita catches Lu off guard with a combo of her own with Razor Leaf rotating around her as she had done against that Team Crux member in the forest and tackling Lu in mid air.

Lu hit the ground and rolls to his feet.

(Good Job. That was a surprise) Lu calls out.

Before he couls react though, Drakon barrels into him.

(I told you I could tackle you better than she could,) Drakon says, (you are worthy of training with me. She isnt,)

Alex walks over and squats down.

"Drakon, we are a team. We work together to get stronger." Alex says. "I need you, Rita, and Lu at your best to win this gym battle. Work with me here,"

(It is his pride. He believes because he is a dragon and I am a female i cannot match his power. I will prove him wrong) Rita says.

At that moment, a Bunnelby appears, throwing pinecones at The pokemon and Alex.

"Hey!Dont do that!" Alex calls out.

(Alex, I am too tired to combat him. Combining moves and holding back Drakon took a lot out of me. Drakon, though stubborn is also lacking in the energy to fight) Lu says.

(Perfect, the pup can read my mind too) Drakon scoffs.

(Aw, whats the matter sugar? Cant fight? Alex, lets go! This rascally rabbit needs a hammering) Rita says, scuffing her front paw like a bull.

Alex smiles. Bunnelby launches more pinecones.

"Rita! Razor Leaf those away! Follow up with a Tackle Attack!" Alex exclaims.

Bunnelby is shocked as Rita deflects the pinecones and barrels towards it. Rita slams into Bunnelby knocking it to the side.

Bunnelby smirks before rushing towards with a quick Pound attack, slapping Rita with its ears. Using its speed, Bunnelby quickly diverts away from Rita, evading Rita's Razor Leaf.

(Rita! Bunnelby is fast. You have to be patient) Lu shouts.

(Patience isnt my virtue! Ha!) Rita shouts sending a barrage of Razor Leaf attacks at Bunnelby.

Alex stiffles back a laugh as The Bunnelby comically dodges all of the attacks, before placing one paw against a tree trunk.and casually taking an carrot from behind his back.

(Eh, is that all doc?) Bunnelby asks, biting the carrot.

"Rita! Return!" Alex says holding out her Pokeball. "Tai! You are up!"

(What?!? Me?) Tai says rushing to face the Bunnelby.

"Tai, Mind Reader!" Alex calls out.

Tai's eyes flash red as he expertly dodges Bunnelby's Pound attacks.

"Tai! Tackle Attack!" Alex calls out, as Tai clenches his teeth and waits. His knees are shaking so badly but he propels himself forward, ramming his right shoulder into Bunnelby.

Bunnelby rockets backwards collapsing at the base of a tree.

"Hyper Ball Go!" Alex shouts, tossing the Hyperball.

it encloses Bunnelby and drops to the ground. Shaking violently
