Audacious and daring; Amber is a born adventurer. There is little that scares her, and even less that makes her hesitant. A life around pokemon and people alike has left her with a deep understanding of how fragile the world truly is, leading her to the only conclusion that makes any sense: to enjoy life to its fullest, and leave behind no regrets.

With that said she does regret, and tries her hardest every day to make up for those things she's done. She approaches her work with passionate altruism and caring devotion, helping whenever, whomever and however she can. Though she is quick to step up for the sake of others, she is often reluctant to admit her own faults when things go wrong.

That aside, she is an unduly affectionate person and a hugger. Whether friend or stranger, she is prone to outbursts of affection towards others, especially following any sort of peril.

Amber does have a competitive side to her, as well. As a trainer, she views pokemon battles the same as any other sport, and takes pride in her skill to command her team in battle, as well as in the field. Though learning an individual's limits is all part of the fun, she is loathe to ever cross that line and push her pokemon beyond their capabilities.


Born and raised in Stellara; Amber hails from the relatively small Shaula Town, where she was within easy distance of Kaxyl Forest and the Stellara Safari Zone. As a child, she was almost always surrounded by both pokemon and nature, and consequently, developed a strong attachment to both over time.

At the age of fourteen, she left home to become a pokemon trainer with her partner, Chikorita. At the behest of several close friends, she left the Stellara region to begin her journey first in the Hoenn region, where she made many of the mistakes that a beginning trainer first makes. However, from these mistakes came knowledge, which she carried with her to Johto two years later.

In the Johto region, she made a name for herself as a professional trainer. With her Meganium, she gradually worked her way through the gym leader challenge, and expanded her team of largely Grass-type pokemon. With all that she'd learned, she even came across ways to overcome the many type disadvantages inherit to her chosen team, and before her tour had ended, it'd brought her to the steps of the Johto region's Elite Four.

However, fortune didn't favor her for her many attempts at finishing what she'd started. Again and again, she failed to defeat the four; sometimes succeeding at the first challenge, but never laying eyes on the fourth. Before long, the teenager's funds had been exhausted, and she had to consider quitting for the first time.

Being down on her luck made her desperate, and when a man had approached with an offer to put her skills to use in exchange for money, she jumped at the chance. He had said he'd worked for an organization called Crux, and that they required pokemon both numerous and rare for their work. He promised to pay her handsomely for every individual she brought to him, and so, she did.

After a couple of years, the thought of returning to complete Johto's challenge was the furthest thing from the young adult's mind. At the age of twenty-two, she'd made a new name for herself, as a pokemon hunter. Whether through hard work out in the field or trade with other, less experienced trainers, she acquired the pokemon that her employers requested, and was soon living more lavishly than she'd ever imagined.

In three years, someone at Crux had seen fit to bring the hunter further into the fold, and Amber was invited to their base of operations in Stellara. She hardly hesitated at the mention of a promotion, and within just a few months, she was scouring the harsh lands for stronger, rarer pokemon. However, that wasn't all that'd changed...

With her new position came new knowledge, and she never felt right at work after her return to her home region. Team Crux weren't only procuring rare pokemon to be sold to trainers, but were experimenting on pokemon and people alike. The thought that she'd been a part of such things sickened her, and during a routine drop-off, she'd struck her contact and fled.

Since leaving, Amber's tried her best to make up for the things she'd been an unwitting pawn in. Despite being hounded for her desertion, she stayed in Stellara and became a Pokemon Ranger, and has made an enemy of Team Crux. She still puts her skills as a hunter to use, locating and keeping at risk pokemon from the organization's grasp. It was in this manner that she found a young Bulbasaur, bred to obey a trainer that'd never arrived and now aiding her in her work.

Personality: A dutiful partner by design; Bulbasaur was literally bred to be cooperative and nurturing of younger trainers. He is patient and tolerant, with a casual temperament towards others that makes one wonder why and how he could ever last in the harsh Stellara region. Under the direction of a more experienced partner, however, he is protective, stubborn and endlessly loyal. If it were up to this Bulbasaur, every battle would come to whomever could keep on their feet the longest, and although he is inclined to tackle problems head-on, he is quick to act on his partner's advice and commands.
