PERSONALITY
Molly has always had a wild and rebellious character, ever since she was a child. From the cliché of refusing to do her chores to the danger of sneaking out to fed wild pokemon whatever she could take from the kitchen, she's lived by her own rules. She's incredibly headstrong and stubborn, and has been compared to a Tauros on more than one occasion by those closest to her; most notably after trying to race a Ponyta on foot.
Her temperamental nature is widely known to her inner circle of friends and family, as well as to tiptoe around it carefully. It doesn't take much to set her off, though she's as liable to throw something as she is to quietly fume for a couple of hours. Of course, she doesn't mean to come off as hateful or rude, and is prone to lavish gestures of apology following such episodes. In short, her mood is as wild as the rest of her, and can swing chaotically at times.
Despite her childhood familiarity with pokemon, she does have issues with certain species. To this day, Mankey still scare her on a primal level, and the fluffier the animal, the more quickly she'll want to cuddle. Aggression from pokemon and people alike only brings out the same behavior in her, though the more monstrous creatures give her pause.
BACKGROUND
Born the first child of David and Mary Weber, Molly grew up on her parents' ranch at the foot of the Vaisera Mountains. Here, she was surrounded by pokemon from infancy, and developed a close bond with the many animals on the ranch. She helped to care for the young Ponyta and Tauros, and was taught how to milk the few Miltank. However, from the time she learned to walk and onward, she was told to never venture up the mountain without supervision. Not only did many dangerous mountain-dwelling pokemon reside in the hills, but the ranch neighbored the den of a Ninetales, and had done so for many generations.
Of course, the child feigned to listen when her parents were watching, and snuck away from the home at every opportunity. Sometimes, she would play in the river on the property, or swim in its deeper parts. At others, she would creep as close to the mountains as she dared, before the many sounds of unseen pokemon scared her away again. As she grew older and more daring, she would steal food from the kitchen, feeding grains to the many birds and fresh fruits to the wild Growlithe which weren't too timid to let her near.
One day, when she was just eight years old, Molly heard a distinct noise while sneaking out with a bushel of apples. Unknowingly coming closer and closer to the hills, she followed the sound as it grew more clearly distressed. When she'd finally found the source of the noise, she was shocked to see a pack of Mankey threatening a litter of Vulpix pups, still so young to have not yet grown their tails. One after another, the child threw her bushel of apples and pears at the Mankey, only to bring their anger down upon herself. Fortunately, however, the Ninetales that'd claimed the area returned and chased the pack off before too much harm could be done.
The crying girl was found several hours later by her parents, surrounded by the pups with the Ninetales watching from close by. She was grounded for several weeks after being taken to the local doctor, but that hardly dissuaded her from continuing to visit the litter from then on. Though she recalls repeated gifts of food eventually winning the Ninetales over, the small modicum of trust that she'd earned quickly grew.
The Weber family grew over the coming years, and their eldest began to wonder about a life away from the ranch. Like all teenagers, she dreamed and experimented, and even thought about leaving on her own once or twice. She even discovered an eye and talent for sewing, and handmade gifts soon became the norm on birthdays. Of course, she never stopped visiting the Ninetales just outside the family's property, nor playing with its pups. One pup in particular came to like her so much that it made a habit of following her home, and making it halfway before being retrieved by its protective mother. When the time had come for the litter to leave the den, there was much begging, and some crying that she'd never admit to, before her parents allowed her to keep the young Vulpix she'd affectionately called Pixie.
As the years passed, Molly's younger siblings came to take over for some of her chores around the ranch. She found herself with more and more free time, and her mind wandered ever further. Her attention rarely stayed on the few small jobs she had in town, and before long, she'd made up her mind.
She wanted to see more of the world than just the small ranching community she'd known.
So, despite the not-so-subtle pleas and warnings from her parents to stay, Molly and Pixie set out on their own with the money she'd saved. After a brief stop at Pavo Town, she caught a bus to the illustrious Eridani City to begin her journey.

Personality: Equal parts lazy and mischievous, the pup named Pixie has been with Molly since birth. Undeniably loyal and courageous, she would follow the woman anywhere and everywhere, though her reluctance to do so at times hints at a cooler head than her owner. However, she has been nothing short of spoiled by the young woman, and it shows. Pixie is much more at home relaxing in Molly's lap or sleeping the day away in the cool shade underneath a tree than in any sort of battle. When not so inclined to laze around, her first instinct is to play with anything that moves, regardless of whether that thing is a curious Growlithe or a hungry Muk. Her next instinct is sometimes to set fire to the things that don't move.
