The first few steps into the Stellara Region were pleasant enough. Everett looked around at the lovely port city of Eridani and smiled. This was where his new life as a Trainer would truly begin!
...
As soon as he found a place to live, at least. Sure, Pokemon Centers were good for travelers, but he really wanted to find a place of his own, here. Though perhaps that would come later. With his Bag hung around his shoulders and Caesar's Poke Ball in hand, Everett walked into the city, wondering what fresh experiences awaited him. After a little stretch of walking on his own, Everett started to get a little lonely, so he threw out Caesar's Poke Ball and watched as the little Bulbasaur appeared after a brief flash of light.
"(Hey there, master!)" The Bulbasaur quipped pleasantly. "(I see we finally made it!)"
Everett smiled at his Pokemon, still in disbelief that he finally managed to get one after all these years. He couldn't really understand what Caesar was saying to him, but pretended like he did. "Hey, Caesar!" he grinned. "We finally made it to the Stellara Region! Our journey is finally beginning!" Caesar seemed to understand, and grinned from ear to ear as the two of them strolled down the street.

SQUALL TORRENT
The last time Squall had been into a town had only been weeks ago, usually she spent months in a forest, jungle or anywhere remote. This time though she had needed to return to town for supplies after a mishap with her food rations being stolen, she still didn't know which wild pokemon had taken her food. Much to her perturbation. Eridani City smelt of the seaside along with cooked fish, her Growlithes nose never stopped sniffing every since they'd entered the city. The tall buildings and bustling town were a curiosity for Squall but at the same time she couldn't wait to leave. Doom lead the way, weaving through people as they walked the other way towards her. Squalls eyes were in the distance looking into shops. It wasn't until she almost trod over a vibrant green pokemon that she realized that her attentions were anywhere but at where she was going. "I am so sorry!"

Everett and Caesar continued on down the street. Eridani City was certainly a bustling port city, with no shortage of things to do or people to watch. Everett was almost lost in the thick of it all, until Caesar nearly got stepped on by a passerby. Everett's attention immediately went towards his Pokemon. "Caesar! Are you okay?" he cried.
"(Yeah, I'm okay,)" Caesar nodded. Everett managed to get his meaning from that, and it didn't seem like anything was immediately wrong.
The woman, meanwhile, was apologizing profusely for her negligence. There appeared to be a Growlithe following her closely. Was she a Trainer, too? All these questions would come later. "No worries," Everett said, smiling calmly. "These things happen! It's a crowded place, after all."
Caesar looked up at her and smiled pleasantly, trying to let her know that he was mostly unharmed.
"I'm Everett Mercer, and this is Caesar," Everett said, in an attempt to meet at least one of the locals. Was she a local? Who knew?

SQUALL TORRENT
The trainer called out to make sure his pokemon had not been injured making Squalls heart squeeze in her chest. She didn't enjoy the company of people but she had never wanted to harm a pokemon. Showing his own concern, Doom stepped forward, sniffing furiously at the Bulbasaur that had almost been squished. (She didn't mean it.) Doom stated, lowering his ears to show that he truly meant what he said. (You're just very low to the ground. Easy to miss.)
Grasping the thick end of her long braid between her hands Squall still held the look of someone who'd done wrong on her freckled features. When the man spoke, accepting her apologies she felt a wave of relief twist down her spine, the last thing she wanted to do was make enemies while in town. "It really is crowded!" Squall agreed with a slight nod of her head. "Always makes me uncomfortable, I'll never understand how so many people are comfortable living so close together."
Catching the glance that the Bulbasaur gave her Squall couldn't help but smile, showing of her pearly white teeth. Unable to refrain Squall Squall bent at the knee, her braid swinging back behind her and swinging along the ground. "Hello there Caesar, you'll have to forgive me, I wasn't watching where I was going, but I'm glad I didn't actually step on you!" Squall offered out a hand in greeting, hoping that the Bulbasaur wouldn't nip her fingers indignantly. "Have you been here long? Could you help me find a few stores?" Her question was aimed at the brown haired trainer.

The Growlithe walked up to Caesar and made sure he was aware that the woman had no ill intentions. "(It's no big deal,)" Caesar promised. "(We're fairly new here, so we're not sure where we're going, anyway.)"
Everett smiled as the woman seemed to relax when he spoke. That was a good sign! Nobody ever gained anything from being agitated, after all. She made a remark about the size of the city and how crowded it was. Everett just chuckled. "Man, if you think this is crowded, you should go to Castelia City in Unova sometime. Now THAT'S crowded."
The woman knelt down and offered her hand to Caesar in a kind, inviting gesture. Caesar sniffed at her hand for a moment, and discovered that there was no immediate threat, so he rubbed his head across her hand happily.
Everett frowned as he was asked if he knew his way around. "Sadly, I just got off the boat a few minutes ago," he reported. "I just moved here from Unova, so everything's new and exciting to me. I'd be willing to help you look around, if you wanted!"

Dozens of people walked around the foursome, too caught up in their own world to bother with the brown hared man and the purple eyed girl. The Bulbasaur, Caesar rubbed his muzzle against Squalls offered hand, much to her pleasure. His skin was surprisingly soft, after a moment more Squall stood once more to reply to Everettes comment. "I do not think I have any desire to see more people packed in such a small space, the smell would have to be awful!" She could simply picture it, all smog, body odor and hot cement. It made her want to gag.
Squall found herself slightly disappointed in Everettes comment as to how he had just landed here. She had hoped to find her items quickly and then be on her way. Then an idea hit her. "I just had a thought! If you've just landed let me give you a taste of what you can come to expect!" Motioning towards her Growlithe Squall gave her companion that look. Doom growled in agreement, he knew what his trainer was getting at. "Let us battle! It will inconvenience these drones of a people!" Doom jumped a few feet away from his trainer, further down the sidewalk, his tail high in the air and at the ready.

Everett laughed at the woman's words, but barely had time to react as she challenged him to a battle. He had read somewhere that you couldn't turn down a challenge from a Trainer who you had made eye contact with! He sighed. "I'd prefer we didn't fight in the way of all these people, if it's all the same to you." He didn't want to get in trouble, after all!
He looked over to a large, regulation-size stadium surrounded by a chain-link fence. "Let's go over there. I'd love to have a battle!" Everett picked up Caesar and leaad the group over to the field, which wasn't being used. Once the two Trainers got into position, the battle would start.
"Caesar, use Tackle!" Caesar charged in towards Doom and tried to slam into the Growlithe.

Squall wanted to pout as the other trainer suggested that they moved, but she understood what he was getting at. If they destroyed any part of the city they would probably be banned from ever coming back and Squall didn't want that on her record. The fire type and blond haired woman followed the fresh off the boat man, content to be lead until it was their turn to shine. Facing each other Squall squared herself off with Everette just as Doom did the same thing with his opponent. The Bulbasuaur immediately dashed into a tackle, though not overly powerful if it connected a few times the battle would be over. Gritting her teeth Squall watched as Doom tried to dodge but he was not quite fast enough the tackle caught him in his hind end. "We got this!" Squall called out, trying to reassure her team mate. "Use bite!" The two should be close enough that it should connect. Dooms large canines flashed for a second as he tried to catch the Bulbasaur in the side.

Everett was happy that Squall was okay with moving locations. He didn't want to make a bad impression with anyone important on his first day in a new country, after all! The battle got underway without much incident. Caesar even managed to get a good hit on the Growlithe! However, he wasn't ready for the return attack and got bit right on the side. The Bulbasaur yelped as Doom's fangs sank in, leaving small puncture marks on his side.
Everett was a little concerned by this. "Careful!" he shouted, nervous to see his new friend getting hurt. "Hit 'em with another Tackle!" Caesar leapt back into action and threw himself into Doom again, hoping to cause some more damage. If this worked, perhaps it would keep their enemies on the ropes for a second while Everett came up with a strategy. This was all so new, yet so exciting to him!
