TAKE EVERY SINGLE TEAR FOR ALL THE WORLD TO HEAR After the little fiasco in Vega City, Senri thought that a break on the beach sounded like a good idea. He recalled his childhood days when he and his family would frequent the beach since it was so close to their home. Sandgem was also quite small compared to these cities, so the beaches weren't crowded with people and Pokemon. It was great, and he remembered those times fondly. While the beach here was more noisy than he liked, it was still nice to be nearby the sea once more. The light rolling of the waves was soothing, and it was amusing to see his Pokemon play with the sand and the water. Mitsuru greatly enjoyed the latter, of course, splashing around with the other Pokemon both local and tourist. Hikaru happened to befriend some kids who were building a sandcastle and decided to join in their quest. Fuwa was the least excited, happily chilling with Senri under a rented umbrella and a nice, cold drink. "(Ah yes, this is the life.)" the Drifloon sighed happily. "(Much better than that cramped alleyway back in the city.)""I still don't understand why you could've just flown away." Senri commented while idly fiddling with his old PokeGear. "(Hey, I told you, gangs stopped me.)""Sure they did."Despite this banter every now and then, she was rather pleased to be able to talk to a human effortlessly. It was always such a pain when humans couldn't understand what they were saying when that wasn't true the other way around. Perhaps a curse had been laid upon them where to humans, they only sounded like they were speaking a few syllables or something. "(When the gangs come for me, that's when I get to say 'I told you so'.)"Her trainer smiled, amused by her attitude. He then sat up straight to see if he could get a better look at where his other two Pokemon went. He had told them not to go too far, but he supposed that they got excited. Well, he had to start looking for them soon, otherwise they might get lost. none ✖ boop

TAKE EVERY SINGLE TEAR FOR ALL THE WORLD TO HEAR "Hey, can you put some more sand on that side? It doesn't look the same as the one on this side." one of the kids said to his sister and Hikaru. The Minun had been admiring the foundations for a sandcastle earlier before he suddenly got invited to help. Thrilled at the thought, the Pokemon had been trying to refine the walls surrounding the actual sand-made building. Of course there had to be a moat, so he had to be careful where he stepped so that he wouldn't ruin anything. Otherwise, he would be stuck with this wet feeling on his leg and that felt annoying. Anyway, the castle was taking shape and everything looked good so far. That was until a strange face popped out of nowhere behind the structure; its wide, blank expression staring at him creepily. "(Ack! Who are you?)" the Minun questioned, jumping a little but not leaving his place outside of the sandcastle walls. "(Wooper!)" he replied with a goofy grin. He clumsily tried to get closer to the other Pokemon, to which Hikaru reacted by moving away. The children were at first excited about another Pokemon joining them, but then quickly started to make cries of annoyance when the Wooper was starting to knock over parts of the sandcastle. "Hey, stop that! Be careful!" but for some reason the water Pokemon did not seem to either understand or not care since he kept on stepping in places that he shouldn't be, ruining the more finely done places of the structure. Hikaru joined in the attempt to stop the Pokemon from his sandcastle-destroying rampage, but it only seemed to make it worse. Finally, the electric type got really angry and used a wild Discharge at the Wooper. The siblings had to move away to avoid getting hit, but Hikaru was surprised when the Wooper took it head on, and didn't seem affected at all, to boot! He still had that silly grin and continued to move around gaily. The large shower of sparks did not go unnoticed. Senri immediately shot up from his resting position and forced himself to get up to find out where that came from. What was going on? Fuwa didn't seem too keen on getting off from the pillow and sleepily muttered what was the problem. "I think that was Hikaru." he replied worriedly. "Stay here.""(No need to tell me twice.)" and she seemed to have sagged into the pillow, closing her eyes. The young man then started to walk towards the direction of the electric attack. It didn't take long for him to find an angry Minun chasing a happy Wooper along with two children that were crying over their ruined sandcastle. Oh boy, he supposed he could figure out what happened here, but too bad Hikaru did not know of this wild Pokemon's typing. Strange though that there was one of the beach. They were usually freshwater Pokemon. "Hey come on, stop that. He's part ground.""(That's why I'm going to hit him hard with a Quick Attack!)""Well he's doing a good job at dodging it." Senri muttered, watching the Minun try to lunge for the Wooper only for him to dodge it with ease. Hm, he already had Mitsuru in his team, so he didn't need another water type, but at the same time the ground type was useful, and Quagsires were known to be heavy tanks, if not pretty air headed. He watched them continue the chase until Hikaru got tired, to which the Wooper turned around and stuck his tongue out while still running. Senri used this moment to crouch down and position a Poke Ball in front of his path, to which the Wooper ran into it without even realizing, pressing the button and getting caught. The light began to flicker a reddish glow before eventually disappearing, to which the trainer was actually surprised it worked. "Huh, maybe this little guy was lonely and wanted to be caught." Senri mused. Hikaru, on the other hand, wasn't happy at all. "(He's coming with us? Aw man...)""Come on, don't be like that. It'll be fun." he said, trying to comfort his partner Pokemon. The young man then let the Wooper back out onto the sand, suddenly calm instead of running around like a while ago. "You should apologize to those kids for the sandcastle." he told the small Pokemon calmly. The Wooper still had a blank face, but instead of a grin, he had a questioning one before moving to the two humans and letting out a cry and a small bow. The children looked at each other before deciding that they would forgive him for the trouble, and then Senri offered to help rebuild their sandcastle once again. From there, the rest of the day was spent answering many questions (since the siblings seemed to want to become trainers when they grow older as well) and making a decent looking sandcastle that they were all proud of. It wasn't exactly relaxing, but it was a good day well spent.
Lv 5 - Male - Water Absorb - Water Gun, Tail Whip, Mud Sport Wooper's blank face isn't just for show--the goofy Pokemon may seem perfectly functional, but he's a big airhead and likes doing his own thing, wandering off very often if he's not watched over. Sometimes he might forget that he's in the middle of a battle and would happily greet his opponent! Thanks to his carefree attitude, he gets along well with most Pokemon. He would probably not get along very well with those that do not like "go with the flow" types. Despite his flippant attitude, he loves his friends and can come through in a pinch. In cases like these, he can become boldly creative, which can surprise people since he doesn't look very smart. For some reason though, he has a habit of rolling on the ground without any warning whatsoever. It could be theorised that this is his way of greeting or conversing with other people and Pokemon while he's talking. none ✖ boop
