Well, it didn't take long for them to find a Pokemon. Or rather the Pokemon found them. While Senri was marveling at how close they were to the falls, he didn't notice that Hikaru got ambushed by a blue Pokemon until he heard him yelp. As soon as he realized what was going on, he immediately pulled the Minun away and asked if he was alright.
"(Hey, you, fight me!)" the Piplup demanded after getting up from an improvised tackle.
"Oh, it's a Piplup!" Senri said, surprised. He didn't expect to see another Sinnoh starter out here, but he remembered that he didn't like them very much because of their proud personalities. It made them a challenge to train for greenhorn trainers.
"(Of course I'm a Piplup! Now let's fight!)" the blue Pokemon shouted impatiently. It actually wasn't his idea to scout for a trainer, but one of his colony-mates that was more sympathetic to his situation.
Since you're not allowed to come back anymore, you should try to find a human that's a Pokemon trainer. It's a pretty good alternative than just living alone, I think. And so here he was, not really sure what trainer life really meant. Well, he heard that Pokemon tended to evolve faster with trainers, and he would really like to become a big strong Empoleon like the leader of the colony. Imagine, him, an Empoleon! That would teach the others to mess with him. Now he just needed to show this guy how strong he was so that he would be practically
begging him to join his team.
"He's rather impatient, isn't he?" the trainer muttered, standing up after helping his partner get back on his feet.
"Well if it's a fight he wants, then we'll give it. Ready, Hikaru?""(I'm always ready!)" the young electric type replied with a determined face.
"Alright then! Hikaru, Play Nice!"The Minun ran up to the Piplup without fear and then grabbed his tiny flippers, twirling him around.
"(Let's have fun!)""(W-what are you doing?! I thought we were going to fight!)""(We are, silly ♥)""Nuzzle!"It was then Hikaru's expression changed to mischief as he released a flurry of sparks from his cheek pouch, shocking Piplup and leaving him paralyzed. The Minun jumped back a few paces to keep distance while his opponent was suffering the effects of his move.
"(Oww! You...you pesky brat!)" to both of their surprise, the paralysis barely slowed down the Piplup as he charged towards him, ready for a Pound attack.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Senri ordered, making Hikaru sidestep his opponent at the last moment and appear behind him, just as they've practiced.
"Follow up with Nuzzle!" another shower of electricity surged through Piplup's body as the Pokemon screamed in pain before falling to the ground. He tried to get up but couldn't find the strength to do so.
"(I...I give...)" he muttered, angry that he looked absolutely pathetic. He couldn't even land an attack on that...that bunny! If only he knew any water moves...
"Good job, Hikaru. You didn't trip this time.""(Senriiii you don't just say that!)" the Minun pouted as he crossed his arms, but it only lasted for a moment before he was back to his chipper self.
"(Haha, but you said I did good ♥)"The young man approached the fallen Pokemon, picked him up, and then gestured his other Pokemon to come to them.
"Of course you did good. Now come on, let's go back.""(Coming~)" the Minun answered as he ran towards him and jumped on his shoulder.
"(Wha...where are you taking me?)""Pokemon Center, duh. We can't leave you paralyzed here."Wow, if it were those other annoying Piplups back in the colony, they would've laughed at him for getting beaten into a pulp so easily. Not to mentioned paralyzed too, so he wouldn't be able to fight back. He wanted to be able to deftly destroy the opposing team like what happened to him today. He wanted to be
strong.
"(Hey, you, be my trainer.)"Senri was a little taken aback at the Pokemon he was carrying in his arms. Here he was, almost completely taken out, but he was still making demands. He let out a chuckle,
"Blunt, are you? But sure, I'll train you. You have a long way to go before being able to face the big boys, though.""(But you can do it, right? Make me an Empoleon?)""With enough dedication, anything is possible."

A very unruly Pokemon, Piplup has become so defiant that his colony decided to exile him from causing too much trouble. He does what he wants whenever he wants and no amount of gym badges is going to change that. He hates being ordered around or told what not to do, and because he hasn't had a trainer yet, move commands are foreign to him. The only reason that he's willing to subject himself to being someone's Pokemon is that he doesn't have a home. He may be stubborn, but he's not stupid (at least, in practical matters. Battling is another thing altogether). He can be slow at times though, taking longer to realize certain things that could be obvious to others. He normally addresses anyone else as "you", never bothering to learn names unless they have somehow gained his respect. All in all, Piplup is a loner, having been picked on at an early age so he hasn't tried making friends. He's also deathly afraid of heights after a prank from his colony-mates that almost made him prey to a large bird Pokemon.
