Coffee On A Cold Afternoon [Invite]

It wasn't hard to get lost in Cyngi City, especially as it was one of the largest cities in the Stellara region. While Magnus had recalled a trip or two he had taken to Cyngi when traveling with his relatives for a vacation, he was unable to remember how to navigate around the city. With a map in hand, he was determined to find his around without asking for anybody's help. Fortunately, his map did not fail him as he was able to find his way to the park, although it did mislead him to the wrong side of the city at one point. At the entrance of the park, he immediately moved his hands to his pockets and removed two Pokeballs.

Throwing them both into the air, a trapinch and salandit materialized. "You both can come and play in the park, but make sure to stay near me. I don't want to lose the both of you." He would soon turn his attention to the salandit. "Elizabeth, please don't cause trouble. Can you try not to poison a random stranger?" In response, the lizard merely turned her head and nodded. However, Magnus was suspicious as he began to reach out as his Pokemon to confirm his suspicions. The two had made brief eye contact for a moment as suddenly a bridge between the two was created. The two were suddenly one as Magnus had learned of Elizabeth's true intentions and vice versa. While she would immediately cut their connections as soon as he learned what he was trying to do, he had learned enough. "Elizabeth... please. You can test them on me later if you want, just not a random stranger." His words immediately caught her attention as she agreed to their deal and began to scramble off. Lily who was watching the entire conversation tilted her head and made a sound. "It's not going to be fun Lily, but I'll be okay." He said with a chuckle full of dread. "Just try and get along with her. I know she has good intentions, but she just doesn't know the right way to execute them yet." With one final glance of concern, Lily nodded as she began to run around and began to play. 

With a sigh, Magnus simply shook his head as he began to walk to a nearby bench. Noticing the person sitting on the bench, for a brief moment he had considered sitting elsewhere but instead, he was too exhausted to be picky. Walking over to the bench, he flashed the man a small smile before sitting down and watching his Pokemon play. However, he was also trying his best to pretend as if the man sitting next to him did not exist, hoping he would be able to avoid a conversation that was going to be just uncomfortable for him.

Quietly sitting upon the bench, Magnus had begun to think of what would be his next plan of action. While he did admittingly want to challenge gyms, he was too weak at the moment to do so. However, he also had another problem he had to deal with first. With a weary eye, Magnus could only watch as his salandit would sneak up behind another unsuspecting Pokemon with the intent of testing her poisons, only for her to catch each other's stare and would shrink away instead. A sound would catch his attention as he noticed the pokemon who would speak to him. Caught of guard, Magnus was unsure of what to say first. "O-oh." He exclaimed quietly. "Hello there. Nice to meet you." Trying his best to be courteous, he would also add a small smile, a hidden attempt to hide his nervousness. 

Of course the cyndaquil would attract his trainer's attention. The man whom he had tried to ignore would also begin to talk to him. The first thing Magnus would notice about him was how attractive he looked. A small blush appeared on his face as he tried desperately to conceal it to little avail. Instead, he simply chose to outright ignore it as he forced himself to pay attention to the man's introduction. As it became his turn to speak within the conversation, Magnus gave another nervous chuckle as he placed a hand upon the back of his head and spoke. "I'm Magnus. I don't really have a great reason to be in the city I admit, but I'm mainly just here to sight-see. I've been traveling around the region a bit just to get a feel for things and maybe make new friends for the journey ahead. How about you Leon?" He was unsure of what to say next and was already too engrossed in the conversation.

Unbeknownst to him, Elizabeth would slowly sneak behind him originally with the intent to take him up on his offer early only to noticed that he was talking to someone. Instead she would take the liberty to climb her way upon his back and up to his shoulder where she would sit, immediately attracting his attention. "You're done playing already Elizabeth?" He asked the lizard who responded with a simple nod. "This is one of my Pokemon, Elizabeth." The salandit would also give a greeting of her own to the two before she began to inspect them. Magnus gave a concerned glance to his Pokemon, but would ultimately let her be as he awaited their response.

Listening to the man talk of his experiences with big cities, he was reminded of his home back in the Kalos region. Cygni city while grand in itself was nothing compared to the wonders of Lumiose City. After he had moved to Stellara he had often found himself gravitating towards large cities due to small sense of nostalgia they had brought him. "Yeah, I like large cities as well. Easy to get lost in, but full of so many things to see." However Magnus was slightly curious of Leon's statement. Getting a big job? He could only iamgine what he had applied for.

As Leon teased Elizabeth, Magnus found himself blushing slightly harder than normal despite the fact the remark wasn't aimed at him. The lizard on his shoulder seemed unfazed instead merely responding to his statement. ("Maybe both, but more or less I'm just curious of this cyndaquil. Maybe we can be friends if we get to know each other better") Taking a glance at his pokemon Magnus smiled. Despite her quirks Elizabeth truly was a great Pokemon to have on his journey through Stellara. If only he was able to convince her not to test her poisons on living beings...

The already present blush on Magnus' face grew even worse as Leon asked why he had a salandit. Trying to answer he found himself stuttering incoherently a few times before taking a deep breath and managing to blurt out an answer. "No! I just took her because she had no trainer and wanted to join my party. I couldn't deny a Pokemon so I brought her along." Magnus recalled the day he caught Elizabeth. She had been abandoned due to her the fact she would constantly poison her previous trainer Pokemon according to what she said, but feeling pity and thinking one day he would be able to train her out of this habit he had caught her. But the training was much more difficult than he first anticipated. Taking a few more deep breaths to calm himself down, he sighed before speaking again. "How did you meet Ember?" He asked staring at the cyndaquil with a smile, reaching out his hand almost as if in permission to touch him. Magnus was curious of Ember's relation with Leon; it was always amazing to see Pokemon's relations with their trainer.
