Everett wasn't sure how he and Caesar had ended up high up in the mountains, but he knew that he'd probably be in trouble if he and Caesar ran into any particularly strong Pokemon. A small bout of training had left the Bulbasaur a little stronger than before, but the fact remained that they would be in trouble if something that was strong against a Grass-type like Bulbasaur should come across.
"Let's get back to town," Everett suggested. "I think you've done enough for today."
"(I'm beat!)" Caesar agreed. "(I can't wait to get back and get a little food!)"
The two of them began the long walk down the mountain path and back to the city, but Everett couldn't help but feel nervous about something. It felt like the two of them were being watched, but he couldn't tell where the other presence was. He looked down at Caesar, who had the same nervous expression on his face.
(OOC: I'm gonna use my PokePass to get a Rufflet encounter here.)

Everett and Caesar's suspicions were soon confirmed when an unidentified bird shot through the bushes and into the path in front of them. It looked to be somewhat injured, like it had just finished fighting something. A quick scan of the Pokedex told Everett that this Pokemon was a Rufflet. A glint appeared in the young man's eyes as he realized what this Pokemon would grow up to become. "I need it," he murmured. He grabbed a Poke Ball out of his Bag and prepared to throw it, but stopped when another Pokemon jumped out from the bushes. Everett was quick to scan this one too, a Dark/Fire type Pokemon called Houndour. It seemed that Rufflet and Houndour were locked in combat, and Everett and Caesar just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Houndour noticed Caesar and Everett, and quickly closed in on the injured Bulbasaur and his Trainer. The two of them flinched in fear, but the Rufflet was quick to act. Tearing through the air with a speed Everett had never seen before, Rufflet aggressively smacked the Houndour with his talons, turning his attention away from Caesar. The Houndour yelped in pain before shooting an Ember attack out of its mouth. Rufflet was quick to flip through the air and dodge the attack, coming back down with a Peck attack. Once the attack landed, Rufflet shot through the air like a bullet, seemingly showing off its speed in the air. However, Houndour shot another Ember and managed to clip Rufflet's wing. Everett, looking on, was in awe of the Rufflet's movement, but noticed that it was hurt, and quickly turned to his partner. "Help him out!" he called out to Caesar. "Use Tackle!" Caesar quickly did as instructed, bashing into Houndour with his whole body. Finally, the Houndour was frightened and ran off, leaving Everett with just the other two Pokemon. Caesar was still exhausted from the day's training, and the added excitement from the short battle was enough to tire him out completely. He fell to the ground, passed out cold. Everett, mortified, ran to his Pokemon's side and gently scooped him up into his arms. "You'll be alright, buddy!" he assured his friend. "We're almost back to town!" Meanwhile, Rufflet looked on quizzically. He tried his best to puff himself up and look cool, but the fact was that he was hurt, too. Everett noticed this and carefully walked over towards the little bird. "Hey, there," he said calmly and carefully. "You were pretty brave, fighting off that Houndour like that. I know you're hurting, but I can't make it back to town without a Pokemon to protect me. Do you think you could help my buddy and me out?" Rufflet didn't like Everett coming up close. He puffed himself up and tried to look threatening, but Everett kept up his calm demeanor. After a pretty intense stare-off, Rufflet relented. He had really called him brave, after all! Rufflet nodded and tried to fly alongside Everett, but seemed a little off balance. He was clearly injured, but didn't want to let Everett think he was incapable! "Well," Everett sighed, "I guess that makes you our first new teammate. Welcome to the team!" He walked along the path, seeing the outskirts of Eridani City coming into view. Rufflet, meanwhile, kept a vigilant watch, wanting to look cool for his new acquaintance. After a bit of reflection, Everett finally came to a decision. "I think I'll call you...Mango!" Mango chirped happily as the two finally made it to the safety of Eridani City. NAME — Mango LEVEL — 5 SPECIES — Rufflet TYPE — Normal/Flying EGG GROUP — Flying ABILITY — Sheer Force HELD ITEM —GENDER — Male HEIGHT — 1’11” WEIGHT — 24 lbs. MOVE LIST — Leer / Peck / Fury Attack PERSONALITY — If there’s one thing that Mango likes, it’s being flashy. You see, to Mango, being flashy means that you can show off your talents, and everyone will have no choice but to acknowledge how awesome you are. It’s because of this belief that Mango does anything he can to flaunt what he has -- whether that be his looks or his battling abilities. He’s brash, quick to act but slow to think about and consider what he’s actually doing until it’s too late. He is also rather boastful and will spend several minutes describing his talents and achievements to unfortunate bystanders, even if it is in the middle of a battle. While he may be arrogant and aggravating, he really only acts this way to get attention. Attention is something that the Mango has been sorely lacking and thus he will do anything to get it. It’s possible for Mango to mature and change his attitude, but it will take time and patience for that to happen.

It’s possible for Rufflet to mature and change his attitude, but it will take time and patience for that to happen. As per your request, I have written up Rufflet's personality for you. With this done, I would like for you to go back and edit your post so that you may showcase Rufflet's personality. Remember to focus on him as much as possible! Tag me whenever you're finished, and you wish for me to check it again. Everett Mercer
